Disclaimer: I do not own My Hero Academia. This is purely a fic I wrote for fun. I don't profit from it.
A/N: Hey there. This will be my first MHA fic. And, of course, it will be IzuOcha since it's one of my favorite ships.
Also, a lot of Manga Spoilers here. So if you're not caught up with it then, do that first. You've been warned.
Course, it won't be just that. I've also planned a big and somewhat odd yet fitting role for Mina in this fic. You'll see what I mean in the following chapters.
There will also be other ships included. For now I plan wanted to include TodoMomo, KamiJirou, All Might x OC among others. I tend to leave it in an open concept so I might include others. Well, I have Mina Ashido as a main character in this fic so other ships are inevitable.
And about the All Might x OC. I wanted to include it since lots of other writers tend to think of All Might as a relationship virgin of some sorts, but I..., I just don't see it. Or don't want to see him that way. The guy's like in his 50s people! And he's the number 1 hero. He's a Chad!
And I'm rambling. Anyway enjoy the story
P.S.

Move Forward and Take Flight
Part 1
"I just can't believe it!" Izuku blissfully said "That my life would come to this. In all these years, I never would have thought that this day would come, but it did... I don't think I have ever felt so blessed in my life. This day... I cannot find the words to express my gratitude, but I'll try... "
Monday - 7 days ago, 5 pm
Mina Ashido wasn't the best at school work, in fact she was one of the worst when it comes to it. She barely got through with help from others and now the final exam week was creeping up things were starting to look grim on her end. She was becoming desperate. Really desperate.
"Please, Yao-momo, I'm begging you!" Mina was pleading on her knees with her head on the ground in front of the class vice-rep Momo Yayorozu, the smartest and wealthiest girl in class 1-A. "I don't want to fail this year. I love my friends too much and I don't want to get expelled and never see you guys again! I'll do anything! I'll find you a boyfriend! I'll clean your room for you! I'll become your personal slave. Please, just teach me!!!"
"What? Mina! Again? Oh dear..." Momo was perplexed at her friend's request, but was always eager to help, which often times had her stuck teaching the less smarter of her classmates. Like Ashido for example. But she couldn't refuse. It wasn't in her nature to refuse someone in need. What kind of a hero would she be if she did? So she thought of something. A somewhat odd routine that she knows her father used to become wealthy and successful, although it wasn't for everyone. Although if it worked then, she figured, Mina would be able to handle school work on her own. "There is something we can try out. I've been meaning to implement it myself for the exams, but..."
"No buts! I'm willing to try anything, Yao-momo! ANYTHING!!!" The pink girl's eyes were starting to water.
"Alright then! But I must warn you this is a routine exercise. I'm going to need you to stick to it, do you understand?"
"Absolutely! I'll do anything!"
"Alright. Then tomorrow, meet me in the lounge at 5 am in the morning."
"D-did you just say 5 am? Why so early, Yao-momo!?" She whined still on the floor
"You said you'd do anything right? If you want to pass the year then 5 am tomorrow! No excuses! Make sure you go to bed early tonight and every night! Do you understand."
"Alright!" Mina looked at her with a determined look, which made Momo smile in pride.
"Excellent."
Friday - 4 days later, 6:30 pm, (3 days before "Blessed Izuku")
Izuku Midoriya was walking back to the dorms after an exhausting day at UA. The first year was coming of to a close and so much was going on. New quirks, popping into him from previous users, Kacchan refusing to share his hero name, which was driving him crazy and aside from that something else has been itching away at the back of his mind. He couldn't quite put it, but something was different ever since that Class A vs B exercise. Something...
"Hey, Deku!" Izuku snapped out if his trance and looked back at the brunette chasing after him. His classmate and close friend, Ochako Uraraka was running towards him waving at him with her signature wide smile and wide open eyes. "Wait up!"
"Uraraka, hey. I thought you had to visit Hatsume for those costume improvements." He greeting her with a smile.
"Oh, that..." She paused to catch her breath before going back to her usual bubbly self. "It's all done! Faster than I thought it would be. Mei's making me an improved grappling hook." She shot out her arm into a fist. Her face cheery and determined "Now we'll both be swinging through town in style."
"Yeah, I guess..." Deku, paused, thinking back to his first time experiencing Black Whip. "Uraraka, I... Thank you, for looking out for me, that day. And I'm sorry it got so out of hand."
"Deku, we've been over this. You know I got your back and you got mine, remember?" She held up her fist in front of him, reminding him of earlier when they shared their first fist bump.
"Right." Izuku smiled and fist bumped with her again, fondly remembering that moment, before his mind went to a more worrying place
"She deserves to know." he thought "But what will, All Might say. I don't want to put her in danger. But still after that incident I..."
"Something wrong?" Ochako asked him concerned.
"Oh, it's nothing." Deku said obviously trying avoided the subject "I just have a lot on my mind. Mr. Aizawa's lesson was exhausting. I can't believe he's making us revise everything from the whole year."
"You're telling me? I think, if hear another word about Hero Enforcement Laws, I'm gonna scream." She said practically screaming "I know it's important to know them if we ever want to go pro, but still... It's the most annoying subject in the course!"
"I get that, It's not just our quirks that need training, but our minds as well. We need to be aware of the many laws that surround our superhuman society. Also the General studies. If we ever end up travelling to other countries as some pros usually do. English is a must. Other than that there's the other general studies. We gotta go through those as well, just like in any other school."
"I feel like my head's about explode." Uraraka whined.
"Hmm. I have an idea. Do you want study together tomorrow?" Izuku suggested without thinking his feelings in mind. As soon as he realized his face went completely red. "I mean, if y-you want to, that is. T-Thruth is I've also been lagging behind on a few subjects. M-maybe we can help each other out you know."
Ochako turned tomato when she heard the request. She felt, the more she tried to suppress her crush towards Deku, the more those feelings became more and more agitated. Yet, she continued to push them down. It just wasn't the time for these things, or so she thought "No! I mean yes! I mean... I'd l-love to!" She felt like a mess. A nervous mess and just being around Deku only amplified it. And yet, she wanted this, for school reasons too. Her grades haven't been the best as of yet. With the villain encounters becoming more and more frequent, everyone's been on edge. Hence their grades have been suffering. "T-tomorrow morning sound good? Around 9 o'clock?"
"Yeah, I was thinking the same." Said the green hero as he and Ochako entered the dorms. He felt his nervousness getting to him again and he quickly wanted to get out of this situation."Well, anyway, see yaa tomorrow. Till tomorrow. Heh-he." He said awkwardly.
"Sleep tight" She said as she walked over to the girls part of the building.
"Sleep tight? It's 6:30 in the evening." She thought to herself "You're so stupid Ochako, how could you say that and agree to study with him. I mean yeah I need the studying, but... Damn it, what did I get myself into? At this rate I won't be able to contain these feelings. I can handle it for a few hours, but a whole day, with Deku? Alone..." The thought of it made her shiver from excitement and anxiety. She slapped herself on the cheeks to keep it together. "Pull yourself together, Ochako! It's just two friends studying together, nothing more, nothing less! You can do this! No sweat! I think..."
Meanwhile, Izuku was walking towards his room with a wide "I can't believe that just happened" smile coupled with a look of "What the hell did I get myself into" in his eyes
"What just happened? Why, did I say that? I mean, I just said it without thinking and one thing let to another and. I mean... It's not like I don't want to study, but. Studying together with a girl, sounds incredible and terrifying! But it's Uraraka so it shouldn't be that weird, should it? His train of thought paused, before entering a so called Mutterstorm.
"Come to think of it. Why do I feel so conformable and yet nervous around her? I mean I'm usually super anxious around girls in general. Normally I wouldn't even be able to talk to one, especially one so cute, without completely freezing up. I mean, we have become close friends throughout the year which could've contributed to me being more able to, simply, talk to her. Then again, I still get nervous around some other girls I don't know so well in the same way as I first met Uraraka. Come to think of it apart from her there aren't that many, even at school that, I become close friends with. Could it be that because of the friendship that we developed, this feeling of attraction, becomes more comfortable, or is it because the combination of attraction and not knowing the person contribute equally to that feeling of anxiety. Also, has our friendship really developed to the point where..." His runaway train of thought miraculously stopped, by a burning desire. Izuku looked at his scarred hand and clenched it in a fist. The memory of the A vs B exercise haunting him.
"She deserves to know! She deserves to know about One for All!"
"Absolutely not!" Toshinori yelled over the phone, spitting blood in the receiver. He had just gotten home after going through a mountain of paperwork, and the last thing he wanted to hear was this "Have you lost your mind, Young Midoriya? It's bad enough that Young Bakugo knows and now you want to bring Young Uraraka into the mix as well? I mean..."
"Yes!" Izuku interrupted. He was sitting on his bed with legs crossed, looking at his damaged hand, while talking on the phone with his other one. "All Might, she deserves to know!" His voice wasn't wavering, in fact it was more confident than ever before. "After the incident at the capture exercise with Class B, she..." He clenched his fist "She saved me... From losing control. She jumped into the fray and saved me from myself. The least I can do is let her in on the secret. If this happens again then. At least..."
"Oh, Young Midoriya..." The former Symbol of Peace, took a deep breath to collect his thoughts. He understood his successor's motive quite well. He knew there was no getting out of this when Midoriya makes his mind up, so he chose to educate instead of prohibit. "If you really feel that strongly about this, I won't stop you."
"Really!? All Might tha..."
"BUT!!!" Toshinori interrupted him before he could finish "I feel like I need to remind you of some things concerning One for All. Like the fact that all the people who have connections to it, ultimately share the burden of it. The dangers of All for One and such. Or have you forgotten?" He didn't mean to sound so harsh, but the stress from the paperwork had really gotten to him.
"No... I haven't, but still... I know she's strong. And she's become one of my closest friends, All Might. I just..." Izuku defended himself with his eyes tearing up.
"Listen, Young Midoriya." Toshinori let out another sigh, to calm himself down "I'm sorry if I yelled at you. Thruth is... I'm... proud of you. I really am. The progress you made this past year, exceeded my expectations by a lot. And I'm not talking just about One for All, but the connections you made. Don't think I haven't been keeping an eye on that as well. You went from a timid and frail, quirkless kid, to fine aspiring young hero."
"You... You really mean it, All Might? " The green haired successor started to tear up from joy this time.
"Yeah, I do...I'm so proud of you you have no idea! You really went beyond, Plus Ultra, this year! And I'm sure you will continue, throught the next 2 years and your career. I have no doubt about it."
"Thank you... All Might" Izuku couldn't help but start crying. "Thank you, for everything. I couldn't have gotten here without you, All Might... I...!
"Didn't I tell you to can it with the water works, kid?" He said, ironically shedding a tear as well "Listen, I'm not gonna be here to guide you, forever. That's just reality." His tone of voice turned serious "Some day you might want to let in other people into this secret, not just Young Uraraka. So, just this once I going to let you in on the OFASC."
"The... The OFASC?"
"The One For All Sharing Checklist. The OFASC! Pretty clever huh?" Toshi held pride in the name he just made up.
"Right..." Deku jumped out of his bed towards his desk, got one of his notebooks and a pen and started to write them down. "I'm ready!"
"Number One: Trust." All Might started to list them off one by one "Make sure that you trust the person enough to know they won't spill, that includes personality. There are people in this world whom I would trust my life with, yet I still haven't told about my quirk due to them just being a damn blabbermouth, you get me? Know the person! Will they spill? And can they really be trusted?"
"Right!" Deku noted everything
"Number Two: Make sure they can carry this burden. As I said before, One for All may be a great power, but with it comes a great burden. I don't need to repeat myself on that, do I Young Midoriya?"
"You don't, I understand..." Deku remembered what happened at Kamino. Where he saw the great Evil, All for One, the face of Death and All Might's last battle. He would never forget that day for as long ws he lived
"Next... Next its your turn." Those words still gave him shivers to this day.
"Number Three: Make sure they'll be an asset to you and not a liability. I'll set you some examples. Tsukauchi for one. He's has been helping me with cases and cover ups since the old days. Nezu is another good example. He's the principal so he's been a valuable asset for my search and training of a new successor. In this case, you. Recovery Girl's fantastic healing abilities plus Nighteye's strategic thinking and foresight also proved invaluable. You get what I mean? You need people to push you forward, not hold you back. Got that?"
"Right!" He dotted it down
"Number Four." Toshinori leaned into his chair "Do a background check."
"Huh?"
"You never know what ill intent might be hiding behind an innocent looking smile. I'm not saying that's Young Uraraka, but even my smile is just a mask as you already know. Be weary is all." He picked up her file from the documents "Luckily for you, at UA we do a background check on every new student so I can assure you she's clean as a whistle. Just keep it in mind for the future, okay."
"Wait, isn't this the same as, Step One?" Izuku asked
"So you were listening?" All Might teased him "Well, it's sort of the same. What I'm, basically, saying is find out if they can be trusted then do a double check. Just to be sure. You're lucky we already did that paperwork for you this time so you don't need to worry about that."
"I understand..."
"Finally, Number Five." His tone changed from serious to tired "Make sure you get along with them. I mean seriously! It can be such a pain to have someone you have zero chemistry with into this mess, you don't need the unnecessary frustration, Young Midoriya. Trust me!" Deku, awkwardly noted it down, not sure if he was serious or not, but it sounded like it was pretty personal so he went with it.
"Right, thank you, All Might."
"So you gonna tell her?" Deku froze looking at the checklist.
"I need to think about it. I mean I want to but... I..."
"Feeling overwhelmed from this conversation? I understand, just keep me updated, alright. Logistically as well, I need to know if I should get a fourth cup of tea for our next meeting. And if it happens again, I might need extra chairs." Toshi jokingly said.
"Right, Thank you, All Might. I won't let you down!" As Deku hung up the phone, All Might let out another tired sigh.
"Young, Midoriya... You really have grown a lot." A sad smile crept up on his face as he peered out the window "Yet, you still have so much to learn on your own." His gaze rose up to see the sunset. "It was an evening like this, wasn't it?"
"Rebecca..."
Deku was sitting on his desk scanning the page, Mutterstorming about each of the individual items on the list. His thought process was going through the list numerically, then randomly, then backwards and finally two by two, in that order and then backwards. In the end the only thing he could feel was his own exhaustion. The clock had struck 9 o'clock.
"9 already? Damn... Guess I should sleep it over and decide on it tomorrow. Yeah, sounds like a good idea." He jumped in his bed. No, collapsed was a better way to put it. As soon as he did the exhaustion become more and more noticeable causing him to fall asleep instantly. Meanwhile a certain Brown haired girl was lying in her bed unable to go to sleep. She had one thing on her mind and one thing only.
"What did I get myself into?"
