They are all tucked up in bed when an alarm goes off and then the sound of gun fire can be heard. Everyone inside the house is suddenly awake and alert.

"Is that here or elsewhere?" Mike says,Kate knows he is not asking her a question but trying to figure out if they are in danger or not. He leans over and gives her a very passionate filled kiss before they both get out of bed and dress fast, the kiss saying so much to each other right now.

It doesn't take long for them to meet up with Gary and Barb, Barb is looking terrified at the sound of gun fire.

"Gary?" Mike says his name hoping he can understand Mike's hidden question.

"It's close but it's not here, we better move out now." He says to them and they all move, the sound of gunfire getting closer to the home as they move within it to get out. Mike and Kate do not even question him when he says move.

As they get to one of the vehicles one of Gary's men is there with it ready to go for them.

"Look after them boss we will cover it all here, it's coming from next door's place. there is more info in the glove box." He says as he shuts the door on his boss Gary, and he peels out of the place. Mike and Kate stay on alert looking out the windows to see if they can figure anything out, or even spot anything that could be of help.

It only took them 20mins to make it to the other property that they have on the island. Gary finally gets the information out of the glove box that his main man has put in there.

"Bloody arseholes." Is what Mike hears him say as they are the only two sitting in the car the lady's having gotten out and headed inside. Mike takes the information from it and reads it over.

"You know this person?" Mike asks him

"Yes he use to be my main team before I employed you guys back ten years ago, he is still helping me, but after you guys came I didn't allow anyone to take on such big roles, he is the one that sent me the photos of you guys in your Navy uniform, he said he was trying to protect me my arse, if he was trying to do that then doing what he has just done isn't protecting me, it just puts more of a spotlight on me."

"Where is he?"

"Good bloody question, no one has been able to reach him for the last few days. His boat is also missing, but now I am thinking he has disappeared on purpose."

"How is Kate handling all of this?" he asks Mike.

"She is upset, we may hate our parents but we still love them, and in the house were all our photos of them. It's the centamentale stuff that we can't replace that is hurting more than anything. Clothes, furniture they all can be replaced, but stuff handed down, photos they can't. Look I need to know that Kate and I are safe with you right now, we have been through enough shit at present, I don't want anything happening to her. Can you promise me we'll be safe?"

"I can't promise you anything Mike, but I will do my damn best to provide as much protection as I can for you two." The two keep talking unknown to what is unfolding inside the house.

Inside the house.

Barb and Kate walk inside they turn some lights on and head towards the back of the house together, they go and turn the kitchen light on but it wont turn on, Barb brushes it off as just a blown light bulb, as she remembers it blowing a few weeks ago when they were here doing a few things, she tells Kate when Tom is home they spend it mainly at the main house and when it's just her and Gary they spent it here.

They then both feel a gun pointing into the backs.

"Do as I say. Do not move, do not speak at all or I shoot.." is all that is said to them in a deep voice. Barb recognizes the voice but she can't place where she has heard it before. They both see fear written on each other's faces, and in their eyes. They both get gagged, and tied up, then placed side by side, it gives them some comfort that at least they are together right now. They sit there waiting for what will happen next, Kate's brain starts to tick over, she now figures that the gun fire at the other place was to bring them here, to get them away from Gary's men, his bodyguards, because most know he goes nowhere without his main team, but only a select few know that he will go without them in the right setting. Kate also knows in her gut that these people are not part of the Army or Navy.

For Barb and Kate it feels like hours before they hear the front door opening and the sounds of their husband's talking away totally unaware of what has happened to them and what is about to happen to them.

Hammersley

The Crew have heard about the fire fight on the island, they knew Mike and Kate were off doing what they needed to do, Dutchy, Nick, Swain and Charge knew all the details but the rest just thought they were off sightseeing since they were told to sit and wait to hear from the SAS. The four that knew the real reason were hiding things well but they were concerned, and worried hoping like hell that two fine Navy officers weren't caught up in it all. Little did they know that soon they would find out.

NAVCOM

CAIRNS

Steve was now in command of the Cairns base, Maxine was not impressed when two officers had walked into her office during the day and relieved her of her command immediately. She read through the list of chargers and she said she denied all of them, and that maybe they should be speaking to Steve about all of this. But little did she know it wasn't Steve who filed the charges against her; it was the Chief. Steve was happy to have his name on the paper as he knew the Chief wouldn't have known what she was up to without all the information he had given to him, the A.W.O papers being the final straw for them in regards to her.

Though Steve was not happy when he got a phone call from Dutchy about the fire fight where they were staying at present. Even though they were on Australian soil and part of the mainland it was like an island with access extremely hard by road but far easier by boat. He was hoping that Mike's plan would work, that it would end all of this and allow the two of them to be together like they should be. He just had no idea of what was about to lie ahead for so many.

Back at Gary's home.

Mike and Gary walk inside the home, and are surprised by how quiet it is, they look at each other and they both come to the same conclusion something is up, they both know their wife's well, and know that neither would have gone to bed without them. All too wide awake from earlier events.

They slowly move through the house coming to the kitchen,

"Damn it I forgot to chance the damn lightbulb." Gary says after flicking the switch and it doesn't turn on. They both are about to leave when something catches Mike's attention on the ground by his feet, he taps Gary on the shoulder and points to the object. Gary looks and they know something is up, that someone else is inside the property.

Gary quickly moves a picture and unlocks a box and removes two weapons and he gives one to Mike. As much as Mike doesn't trust Gary, he knows right now, in this moment that he has to trust him, otherwise there is no way they will get out of this alive. Out of habit Mike checks it over quickly and takes the extra ammo clips that are passed to him. Gary doesn't even blink an eye at what is doing with the, and nor that he takes it no questions asked, they both have a common goal in mind: find their woman and get them out alive.

Hammersley

"Sir we have a call coming in from one of the SAS teams asking for urgent assistance." Comes from RO to the CO who happened to be on the bridge

"What do they need RO?"

"They say they need support and extraction of wounded."

"What is their location?" RO hands him a bit of paper with the coordinates already on it knowing those would be needed even before he was asked for them.

He takes about five minutes to work out how best to get to their location and finds a middle location, little did they know that not just Hammersley but the SAS they were also about to walk into the middle of something big.

"RO tell them to meet us at this location we'll pick them up via the water, I'll go inform the team of what is happening." He says as he passes the info to RO then bages the boarding team to the boarding room where he informs them of what is about to happen as they gear up, and he makes sure to send both teams over..

30mins later Hammersley shore party are on the beach, the SAS have patched through that they have been held up, and so the team goes in search of them.

Dutchy, Swain and Charge are feeling completely uneasy at present, they guts are sending them signals that all is not right at present
