Chapter 5: Did you just… cough?

Waking up, on her spot Freddie had tried to take again, on the floor, Sam groaned. She looked over at the bed, Freddie was laying there, still sleeping.

He's so peaceful, and so good looking

Those were Sam's thoughts. Forcing her brain out of it, she slapped Freddie in the face, screaming "FREDWARD!" Freddie's eyes shot open in an instant, grabbing out for his unknown attacker and pulling them down, ready to fight. Sam screamed, rolling over, not expecting this reaction. Hey, wasn't she supposed to be the one attacking the people who disturbed her sleep? Oh, how the tables have turned. She growled, pulling him an inch closer. He was kneeling over her, now with a shocked expression on his face. They were mere inches apart.

"Freddie if you EVER do that again I swear…" what Sam was going to say next they would never know, as both were beginning to feel very much the same as they were the first night Sam was there, before Mrs Benson had walked in and completely ruined the moment. The smell of him was overpowering her senses, her eyelids shuttered closed as Freddie leaned in an extra two centimeters. Their lips were brushing off one another's, and Sam whispered "Please…" a sense of desperation in her voice. Freddie didn't need telling twice. He crashed his lips on to hers, and she hungrily responded. Fireworks were going off in both of their heads, making it impossible to think, even feel, anything but deep love for the other.

They remained like this for quite a while, before breaking apart. They looked at each other, blush rising up their cheeks. Both had so much they wanted to tell the other, so much to get off their chests. They just couldn't though.

"So uhm, I was thinking we should probably go food shopping today?" was all Freddie could say.

Sam agreed.

They headed out to the corner shop a while later, a little after lunch. All of the awkwardness from earlier had completely disappeared. Freddie constantly had to remind Sam to stay at least two meters from everyone.

They headed home, laughing all the way.

Lying in bed that night, they were watching a funny movie. They burst out laughing at the stupidest things, and at the end of a particularly long laughing fit, Sam suddenly burst out into a chesty cough, not being able to stop. Freddie shook her, making her take deep breaths. She eventually stopped, and the two stared, a matching expression of deep and utter shock on both of their faces.

This chapter is more of a filler, pretty short and quite meaningless. Hey, at least there was a big seddie moment in there!
