Hi, sorry for not updating this story. I hope you are all still here and haven't disappeared on me. Anyways let's get started :)
Sam was only getting worse as the night went on. It seemed as though her cough was stuck on repeat, and the harder she tried to breathe the more she seemed to struggle. Freddie was getting seriously worried now and debated on whether to wake the obviously sick girl up to tell her she may have contracted the only illness the world seemed to be talking about (as a matter of fact Freddie was scrolling through an article informing him of the symptoms at that very moment) and Sam was showing all of the exact ones he was reading about and must have heard of at least a thousand times.
Or he could wait until the next morning to say the same thing.
Deciding on the latter, Freddie spent the remains of a sleepless night holding a sleeping Sam close (the girl really could sleep through anything, even coronavirus) and wondering what to do.

"I have WHAT?"
Yeah, she took it just as well as Freddie had thought. At least she wasn't physically abusing him yet, which was always a good sign.
"Don't be stupid Freddie," she croaked.
"I'm not..."
"YES you are," she had barely gotten the sentence out before erupting into a violent coughing fit.
"I'm taking you to the doctor."
"NO! YOU CAN'T! Freddie I can't smell anything! What's going on?!" Sam screamed, curling into a small ball almost like someone was hurting her.
"It's a symptom. And why not? You're obviously sick I mean..." he stopped, in sudden realization. "You're not scared of hospitals... are you?"
"NO! I'm not scared of hospitals you actual nub. You just, um, you have asthma. And if you caught it off me you have a way higher risk of... death." Her voice was merely a whisper now.
Freddie couldn't say anything. How he had forgotten that asthmatics were at a higher risk of contracting and dying from Covid-19, he didn't know. Sure, he had heard it countless times.
"Freddie..."
Ok, so really short chapter. But I really needed to update this, and I need to get this story wrapped up before I go back to school, so hopefully I'll have it done by the end of August.
If you have anything at all to say about this tiny thing, leave it in a review. Pretty please? :)
