I'm so so sorry, this story has been dragging out for sooo long. I haven't been very organized, not really finishing anything before starting something new, but I will try to get better at that.

Again sorry, and I hope you enjoy.

~When this is over...~

Sam and Freddie were in the hospital.

They had been tested, and, the two had both tested positive. They didn't know how Freddie would cope with his asthma and everything, but they didn't think anything bad would happen, they were almost sure he would recover normally after a while.

As you can probably guess, the hospital is not somewhere you would want to be in the midst of a worldwide pandemic, and it was quite a scary place. Nurses running everywhere, people coughing, struggling to breathe. Their parents were being contacted, and Freddie was not looking forward to his mother's reaction at all.

And, Sam and Freddie had landed themselves slap bang in the middle of everything. They now were lying on beds, side by side. Everything was noisy and it was hard to hear your own thoughts. Sam's eyes bore fearfully into Freddie's, and somehow they calmed her down.

She couldn't deny, that her and the nerd had grown a lot closer in the space of time they had spent together. Not just as friends, and that was what worried her. They had shared a kiss, for goodness sake. It also couldn't be denied that she felt something towards him, something strong.

Maybe that's what drew her to say it. She didn't know, but something definitely took over her in the moment.

"When this is over... when we, um, get out of here, do you wanna, um, maybe do something?"

It was soft and gentle, very unusual for the dirty blonde, but it made Freddie's head snap up.

Sam was not looking at the boy beside her, staring resolutely at the boring white wall, but when he answered, with an equally soft "I would love to," she turned to him, blushed, (I advise you not to mention the blushing to anyone, as you may not live to see the next day...) and smiled. They were just laying there, smiling at each other, sharing a very special moment.

Until, there was a loud, "FREDDIEKINS.."

Ok, thank you so much for sticking with me until the end. Yes, that was the last chapter. I know you're thinking, finally, took her forever, and I know, I apologize.

If you think there was anything you think was left uncovered, please let me know, because to be honest I'm not very good at keeping track of things, even though I planned out this story before writing it.

Again, thank you so so much for sticking with me and for the support on this story.
