Part Three
"Burn them off, maybe!" Riku offered, horror clear in his expression.
"Oh no, no way. WASH them off!" Sora insisted as he held his keyblade up. "WATERAGA!"
THA-THWOOOOOSH! It was as if a small waterfall dumped down from thin air onto Naminé. And, amazingly, it appeared to work well! The spiders were all being washed away off of Naminé as the others quickly scuttled back, disgusted.
As the tiny things were washed away, Naminé remained behind, having fallen to the floor in a dead faint.
She lay on her stomach in the hallway, her blonde hair thrown wildly about her head. There were scrapes and bruises from her frantic flailing and thrashing and she seemed to have hit her head on one of the nearby tables when she had fallen to the floor.
"We need to hurry before ANOTHER story gets written." Kairi insisted as she gently knelt down by Naminé to help her sit up. "Like, NOW."
"Yeah, let's start looking." Sora and the others nodded, taking off, going into the dark depths of the abandoned asylum!

As they continued onward, Sora could see movement of a figure disappearing just around the corner.
"Hey! WAIT!" Sora shouted.
He took off toward where he saw the figure vanish and soon found himself it front of a pair of double doors. The others soon caught up to him and were confused to see Sora staring at the doors which had been padlocked and bolted shut. Across the old molding doors, in blood red letters were the words: Evil lives here. Riku was the first to speak.
"Sora?"
"I saw someone!" he told them. "They went through the doors! Quick! Help me get them open!"
With a bit of effort, they were able to open the doors. However, as they opened the doors.. They were shocked to find themselves in a hallway completely untouched by the course of time.. There was no dust on the floors, the walls were green and eggshell white with no traces of ever peeling away. Even the lights above them seemed to buzz with electricity. They seemed to have been brought back to when the asylum was still in operation.
"Something weird's going on alright..." Sora murmured as Riku and Kairi followed after, all of them looking around in surprise.
As they looked around, they were shocked to find they have been fitted with hospital identification bracelets bearing their names.
"W-wha!?" said Sora, taken by surprise.
They were caught off guard as they could now hear commotions coming from the different rooms as they passed by them. As they walked farther along, they passed several rooms, all with one way glass windows. Inside the rooms, they could see people rocking back and forth, writing on walls, or talking to themselves.
"Have we somehow gone back in time?" Sora inquired.
"Maybe Subject X is affecting the whole asylum." Riku reasoned. "Turning it into what it looked like when she was here?" He suggested as Kairi glanced around.
The doors were thrown open ahead of the group, the loud bang bringing all the friends to a jerking halt. A group of people had entered the room dressed in white jackets, indicating they were the orderlies of the asylum.
"What are you doing out of your rooms!?" one of them shouted.
"W-wait! W-we're not-"
Kairi was cut off as one of the men spoke.
"As patients, you should know the rules by now!"
As the man spoke, one of the other orderlies pressed a button on the wall, causing an alarm to blare all around them as the lights changed to an eerie red.
Ienzo instantly froze!
"Oh no, no no no!"
"Ienzo?" asked Riku, confused.
However, instead of answering him, Ienzo took off down the hallway in the direction they had come in!
"Ienzo, come back!" Sora yelled out. "We gotta go after him!"
"Don't be silly, WE'LL get him." said the orderlies as they took off after Ienzo.
Ienzo continued running trying to find a way to escape when he saw what seemed to be a rather large woman with long straggly black hair standing in the hallway before him. He stared on in horror as the lights flickered, causing the woman to draw closer toward him. Ienzo took off down another hallway trying to escape The Pale Woman.
Meanwhile, Sora had turned to Riku and Kairi as they began searching through the rooms. Subject X had to be around here SOMEWHERE!
"We need to find a secretary." Riku reasoned. "Or a patient or somebody else. SOMEONE has to know where she is!"
As they rounded the corner, Sora took sight of a woman with frizzed silver hair wearing a blue and white patient gown. However, she was acting rather unusual as she seemed to hop around on all fours.
"BARK BARK BARK!"
"Uh...hi doggy?" Sora said a Riku and Kairi stared at the woman.
"This is SO weird..." Riku confessed.
The barking woman, whose bracelet had the name 'Susanne' turned toward them before bounding over and sitting down.
"BARK!"
She then looked over at Axel and Isa, seeming to recognize them. She took hold of Axel's sleeve in her teeth and tugged it, indicating she wanted him to follow her before bounding over to a nearby shelf and pulling out a notebook in her teeth, which had the same writing as the book of scary stories. They followed Susanne, walking after her as they looked down at the book of scary stories.
She then nudged the book over to them with a whimper. Inside were notes and illustrated pictures of Isa and Axel when they were much younger as well as notes on the treatments Subject X and the others were given electroshock therapy as well as using unknown medications to try and treat any symptoms they may have had.
"Wow...look at all this..." Axel muttered.
"Check the book. Maybe this little diary collection will tell us where she is right now. Perhaps they give her a certain type of treatment at a certain time every day, and if we can find what that is, and WHERE...we can find HER." Isa reasoned.
As they said this, the door to room room burst open as the orderlies entered. Sora felt a knot forming in his chest as he saw Ienzo's bracelet.. It being the only evidence of having ever found him. Sora looked in the book, taking note of another story "The Dream" with Ienzo having been the main character.
"Ohhhh boy." Sora's eyes went wide as he looked at the book. "That's not good." He remarked as Riku began to read the story aloud.
"Ienzo had a dream of a red room.. In his dream, a woman with a pale face, black eyes, and long, black hair, slipped silently into the room. She leaned over him and whispered 'This is an evil place.. Run away while you still can'."
Kairi's heart leapt into her throat as the implication hit her and she fell to the floor as tears filled her eyes.
