Part Four
Sora looked over at Kairi, his eyes wide. "...oh no..." He murmured quietly.
"We need to find Subject X before anything else happens!" Riku insisted.
"But WHERE could they be?" Sora said, having now become desperate. "We've looked just about everywhere..."
They had at this point reached the recreation parlor of the asylum. Susanne was staring at the large ornate fireplace, her eyes set on something moving around inside it as she let out a low growl.
Sora knelt down by the fireplace, then looked at Suzanne. "Suzanne, is something inside it?" He asked her quietly.
Naminé who had recovered from her shock soon picked up the book Sora had dropped and began looking through it, stopping as she saw a story with the title "The Jangly Man" being written on the page with Riku as the main character.
"R-Riku? I.. think you should see this.."
Riku blinked in surprise as he examined the book. "What the...?" His eyes went wide. "...uh oh..." He murmured. "...we need to find Subject X NOW." He quickly said to the others.
Sora spun around to say something when he heard a loud thumping type of noise. They all slowly turned toward the fireplace as the noise was emanating from within. Susanne growled as the noises grew louder, before she took off out of the room.
Sora jumped back in horror as what seemed to be a rotted, severed head dropped and rolled to a stop at Sora's feet.
"Me tie dough-ty walker." it gurgled, grinning sinisterly.
Sora's heart leapt into his throat as he heard more thumping, more of the decapitated corpse beginning to fall from the fireplace and onto the floor.
"Riku...I think your nightmare's here." He announced as Riku got out his keyblade.
"I'm not scared!" He yelled defiantly. "No more running! It's time we fought BACK!"
The being began rebuilding itself into a rather grotesque way, making the being seem twisted and contorted at impossible angles.
The Jangly Man rose up from the ground, easily being two feet taller than Sora. The creature reached for Sora, ready to snap his neck when it let our a howl of pain as Susanne leapt out and sunk her teeth into its leg. The Jangly Man snarled and slashes at her, creating jagged claw marks. However, Susanne refused to let go. She let out a pained noise as it took hold of her head, the sound cutting off as the creature snapped her neck, before throwing her across the room!
"Oh God!" Sora cried out as Riku soared through the air, his keyblade slashing down. THA-THWOOOOSH!
The keyblade came down onto the creatures head, breaking the creature into many pieces. However, just as quickly as it fell apart, it once again began to form.
"Keep it up, we'll find Subject X! Just keep breaking it!" Sora said as he and his friends headed down a new hallway, to where Subject X was!
As Riku, Kairi, and Naminé fought The Jangly Man, Isa and Xion joined Sora and Axel. It was then that a new chapter had begun to be written, however, this time there were more than a single character.. The characters listed.. Were Sora, Xion, Lea, and Isa.
Before Sora could warn the others of their fates, something struck the back of his head..

When Sora regained his consciousness, he found he had been restrained to what felt like an old hospital bed, his arms secured above his head so tight, the restraints cut into his wrists!
On the left, Isa was struggling against the bindings holding him down to a wheelchair. Xion was in the center, lying down on a rusty table, like Sora and on the right, Axel was strapped in what seemed to be a tub which was filled to the brim with icy water. All four of them were gagged, and were now trying to get free.
"W-why?" Xion whimpered as the gag had been removed for the moment.
Tears were slipping down Xion's cheeks as she stared up at the yellow eyed man before her.. Dr. George Mason.
"Now now," the doctor's hand caressed the girl's dark hair. "You have lived happily. So don't consider this cruel, my dear. This is a kindness, after all." He placed the gag back on her before she had a chance to reply.
It was then they realized they were being subjected to the very same "treatments" as Subject X and the many other patients that resided in the old asylum.
Sora struggled against the restraints. "Don't you TOUCH THEM!" He growled through the gag in his mouth, giving the doctor a foul look. Something dark inside of him was swelling up...
The doctor turned to Sora, his eyes gleaming with cruelty and coldness.
"You have been very naughty in this ward." he stated. "Maybe some time in solitary confinement will help in your misbehavior."
He made his way over to the table and began to wheel Sora down to the basement, the door to which slamming shut with a finality.
