Ahsoka immediately recognised that she was dreaming. The scenery surrounding her was reminiscent of Hoth, but it was unfamiliar. The strangest thing was how warm it was.

Ahsoka was moving slowly across a flat space, being carried along by something. Looking up, she found herself in Anakin's arms."Where are we going, Master?" Ahsoka asked, her voice soft, as if she was on the verge of sleep.

Anakin pointed. Ahsoka looked over, spotting the Jedi Temple in the distance. Dreams sure were weird.

Then suddenly, they were there. Anakin gently helped Ahsoka down before kneeling down in front of her.

"Is there something you want to tell me, Snips?" the voice that left Anakin's mouth was similar to Ahsoka's Master's, but there was something off about it - as if Anakin's voice had been mixed with Ahsoka's.

"Yes." Ahsoka sounded as if she was in a trance now. "I love--"

Ahsoka woken up by a knock on her bedroom door. "Go away." she groaned.

"Then who will eat these scrambled vakiir eggs with iktotch toast?" she heard Anakin speak from the other side of her door.

"Ok, don't go away then." Ahsoka called, climbing out of bed. As she headed to her door, she spotted her top on the ground. There was a huge slash in it from where Asajj Ventress had cut her the day before.

Anakin watched as Ahsoka stepped out of her bedroom from his seat at the dining table. "Welcome to the land of the living." he joked.

"Har har." she took a seat next to him. Looking down at her breakfast, Ahsoka smiled. "Where did you learn to cook so well anyway?"

"I learned from Obi-Wan." Anakin confessed, making Ahsoka almost choke on her mouthful of eggs and toast.

"No way!" she spluttered.

"It's true. Although I've surpassed him by now." Anakin confirmed.

Ahsoka shook her head in disbelief. "He just doesn't seem like the type."

"Does Master Windu seem like a gardener?" Anakin winked.

"This is too much." Ahsoka laughed, giving Anakin a light punch on the arm.

The two finished their breakfast, spending the rest of their meal talking about what they'd get up to on their vacation.

"Odd question." Ahsoka began, "But how good are you at sewing?"

"I can do it." Anakin shrugged, standing and picking up the two empty plates, "Why?"

Two hours later, Ahsoka skipped happily down the hall towards the training room, the cut in her top sewn shut. Behind her was Anakin, who had been given the unfortunate job of doing the sewing.

But he was just happy that she was happy.

"Let's simulate Asajj Ventress." Ahsoka suggested, "And Maul."

"Both at once? That sounds like a bit much for you." Anakin teased.

"You're just jealous of my style." Ahsoka retorted. They both shared a laugh as they headed into the training room.

The pair passed training Padawans until they reached a larger side room with barren white walls and flooring.

"Run simulation 24." Anakin called.

The room shifted, morphing into the scenery of a battlefield. Ahsoka gave her Master a confident smirk before igniting her lightsabers.

Anakin did the same, as two droids rose from the floor. Their forms shifted just like the room's had. Now Anakin and Ahsoka were staring down life-like copies of Darth Maul and Asajj Ventress.

"Begin." Anakin said.

Immediately, Darth Maul rushed at Anakin, both ends of his lightsaber ignited. Anakin blocked all of Darth Maul's strikes.

Meanwhile, Ahsoka raised her lightsabers to block Ventress. This time, she wasn't going to lose. Ahsoka dropped to the ground, sweeping Ventress' legs, sending the assassin to the floor. Ahsoka raised her shoto lightsaber to strike Ventress, but she suddenly lost focus, her eyes moving to Anakin. Then, Ventress rolled to the side, jumped up, and kicked Ahsoka in the side.

Darth Maul moved to hit Anakin with the hilt of his lightsaber, but Anakin ducked below it, kicking Maul away. He looked over, spotting Ventress standing over Ahsoka. With the Force, Anakin threw Maul's lightsaber towards Ventress, cutting her in half.

"You alright, Snips?" Anakin called.

"Fine." she replied, although she didn't sound so sure. Standing, she turned to Anakin, "Behind you!"

Anakin instinctively spun around, decapitating Darth Maul. As his head dropped to the floor, the visage of the two Sith disappeared, leaving only the two droids in their place.

"You'll get her next time." Anakin placed a hand on Ahsoka's shoulder.

"Yeah, sure." she dismissed, as the room returned to its original state, "I didn't really last that long did I?"

"You're probably just a little rusty." Anakin encouraged.

"I guess. Wanna go again?"

After their training, the two headed back to their dorm and used the refresher, as fighting against two Sith for four hours straight left them exhausted.

Ahsoka had left her Jedi uniform in the washer. She was wearing the most casual outfit she had. As Anakin said, this week they were just Anakin and Ahsoka. She was watching a podrace on the hologram-projector, trying to figure out what Anakin liked so much about them.

"What time are we leaving to that restaurant?" Ahsoka called as Anakin stepped out of the refresher, drying his long hair.

"In about an hour. I looked up what it's called - it's name is Coruscant Heights." Anakin called back.

"How'd you forget that?" Ashoka teased.

"There are like three other restaurants that are called something similar and I always get them mixed up." Anakin shrugged. He joined Ahsoka on the sofa.

"So, how often do you and Senator Amidala go out together?" Ahsoka smirked.

"Every other time I get assigned as her bodyguard." Anakin answered, "I know what you're getting at, Snips."

Ahsoka giggled.

"If I tell you the truth, will you stop going on about it?" Anakin sighed.

"Maybe." Ahsoka grinned, turning her full attention to her Master.

"Me and Padmé really are just friends." he confessed, "When I was a Padawan, I did have some stupid crush on her, but I never acted on it. It's like Obi-Wan said; we're allowed to feel this way about people, we just can't do anything about it."

"Just can't do anything about it." Ahsoka repeated quietly, her shoulders dropping.

"What was that?"

"Uh, I said that Obi-Wan said it better." Ahsoka lied.

"He probably did." Anakin laughed.

Anakin pulled his speeder up to the resturaunt, before parking and jumping out. "I feel underdressed." Ahsoka looked through a large window at the other guests.

"Don't worry about it. It's not like there's a dress code. C'mon." Anakin said, leading Ahsoka to the front door.

"Welcome to Coruscant Heights." a Gungan waiter greeted the two Jedi, "How can weesa help yousa?"

"Reservation for two. Under the name Skywalker." Anakin said.

The Gungan looked down at a book on his table. "Oh, yes. Right deesa way."

Anakin and Ahsoka followed him to a table with two chairs situated right beside a window that overlooked all of Coruscant. Anakin pulled a chair out for Ahsoka.

"Thanks." she said, somewhat confused.

Anakin sat across from her

"Meesa be back to take yousa orders shortly." the waiter nodded at each of them before hurrying off.

"Fancy." Ahsoka commented, looking around, "Is that chandelier made of ice?"

"Oh, it is. I never noticed that." Anakin laughed.

"You'd have to be royalty to eat in a place like this all the time." Ahsoka added.

"Or Masters." Anakin smirked, looking over the resturaunt. Ahsoka followed his eyes, spotting Master Windu sitting at a table. A waiter headed over to Windu.

"What would you like to eat, sir?" Ahsoka put on a deep voice, pretending to be the waiter.

"I'd like a pile of sand with a side of fries." Anakin did his best impression of Windu.

Ahsoka giggled, giving Anakin a light kick under the table.

"Speaking of ordering, what are we gonna get?" Anakin turned his attention to the menu in front of him. As he looked down, Ahsoka found herself unable to do so as well. Her eyes were focused on him for some reason. "The Codavo Salad sounds good."

"Mm-hmm." Ahsoka nodded slowly.

"Huh?" Anakin looked up.

"I mean!" Ahsoka scrambled to grab her menu, "Yeah, I might get that too."

"What is wrong with me today?" she thought.

Anakin drove the speeder back to the Jedi Temple. As Ahsoka watched the buildings pass by, she couldn't help but wonder why Anakin wanted to take her somewhere so nice.

"Back there," she turned to him, "Why'd you pull the seat out for me?"

"Huh? Oh, I don't know. Maybe the poshness of that restaurant rubbed off on me." Anakin spoke, keeping his eyes foreward.

"I'd have been fine with going to Dex's." Ahsoka added.

"We always go to Dex's. I thought a change of scenery would be nice."

"It was nice." Ahsoka agreed, "I don't know what I'm saying."

The drive was silent for a while longer.

"You told me you didn't act on your crush on Padmé. Was that hard?" Ahsoka broke the silence.

"It was. But over time, it got easier to see her as just a friend." Anakin answered.

"Well what if - you know, as an example - I had those kind of feelings for someone. And I couldn't ignore them." Ahsoka spoke slowly, "What could I do?"

"If you don't think you can repress your feelings, let them out. In your case, you'd have to leave the Order though. So I suppose it's a matter of which is more important to you - the person you love or the Jedi Order." Anakin explained.

"But what if it was someone in the Order?" Ahsoka asked, "Uh, hypothetically of course."

"Then you'd have to hope they feel the same way." Anakin glanced over to her. The expression in his eyes was one of understanding. Ahsoka gulped.

Then she fell silent for a little while longer.

"Do you?"

"I don't know, Snips." Anakin looked forward again. "How, uh... how long?"

"For a while I think." she sunk in her seat, "But after you saved me on Hoth, I had a dream... or a vision... or something. After that, I..."

When Ahsoka didn't finish her sentence, Anakin looked over to see her covering her eyes with her hands.

"I've probably fucked everything up, haven't I?" her voice was timid.

Anakin didn't answer. Instead, he began searching Ahsoka's emotions. Settling above her sea of emotions was a thick cloud of doubt. Any other Jedi would've jumped to a conclusion, but Anakin dug deeper. Anakin searched so far into Ahsoka's feelings that she could physically feel him doing so.

Eventually, Anakin found what he was looking for. Buried deep within Ahsoka was a spark of love. Of true love. And where that spark shone, the clouds of doubt where nowhere to be found.

"No. No of course not." Anakin replied finally. "I'm glad you told me."

Ahsoka turned to him. "Because I shouldn't keep my emotions bottled up?"

Anakin shook his head, "Because I'm fairly sure I feel the same way."
