A/N: My 7th oneshot! I can't believe I wrote three oneshots in one day.. is this what I've become?

I started this yesterday but couldn't finish it until now. I'm actually surprised with how much I've put into this. Also, I'm trying a different tense. So please bear with me.

Song #7: "I Could Be Good For You" by Taylor Dayne

"Hey Ryan, how's things going with Eric?" Officer Sanchez asks as he approaches him.

Ryan sighs, glancing over at Calleigh and Eric talking by the elevator. He shook his head and decided that he wouldn't analyze things. It's like his friend is lost in his own world, thinking about things.. people.. a special person in particular.

"Alright," He finally says. "You never ask. What's been going on?"

"I think he likes you, Ry. Give him a chance." His best friend tells him, grinning like an idiot.

He looks back over at Eric. The Latino is no longer engaged in a conversation with Calleigh, and instantly notices him. Ryan feels his cheeks burn up as he shyly smiles at him.

Lots of eyes they look at you

And lots of arms would love to be around you

Just be around you

I know you might think I'm just one more

But all I'm really asking for is a chance to

Just to make you happy baby

Never leave you lonely, I'd never make you blue,

"It's like I said.. make a move, lover boy." Sanchez says lowly.

He shoved Ryan in Eric's direction, Ryan reassured him that he would get a punch in the face later for this. Eric twists around to him. "Hi Wolfe, everything okay?"

Ryan felt like dying. If he could barely ask out a girl, asking out Delko wouldn't be any better. Especially with the amount of people that would wait in line just to get their chance to spend time with him. But Ryan wouldn't want to wait in line. He really wanted to be that person. The person that Eric could love for a long time.

I'd give the world if I could give it

Everything I have

So won't you give my love a chance

I could treat you right

Make you have good dreams at night

I could be good for you

I could be good so good so good so good

Treat you kind

Change the way you feel inside

"I-I-I, um, I-I wanted to know if you would.."

Eric cocked an eyebrow, amused by where this was going. He'd been waiting for this guy to step up the pace for a while now. Ryan couldn't date him if he couldn't be vocal about it. All he begged for was a chance to show Eric a reason why he could be good. Why they'd work so well in spite of the way they once clashed.

"Go ahead. Tell me." Eric insists, calming his nerves.

"I w-want to take y-you out." He splutters.

He's taken back. Eric never thought he'd hear those words come from Ryan - comfortable with his bisexuality - admit that to him. "On a date?" Eric clarifies. "Whatever, yeah. I'll meet you there at seven. Text you the address?"

"Seven? I thought you went for six o'clock?" Eric responds jokingly, in attempt to disguise his joy over this. "No. That was different. I said seven, be there or I'm using your tab."

"Wait- you've used my tab before?" Eric suddenly panicks.

"I saw your friend by a drink on your tab for a girl, but that's probably just me," He looks down at his phone and sends him a link to a song. "There's the song. See you at seven."

I could be good for you

I could be good so good so good so good

I could be good (good for you) I could be good

Baby I got lots of ways to keep a smile on your face

I'll show you, let me show you

Eric scoffs, watching as the younger man heads down the hall. He never thought that Ryan would ever make the first move. Yet he still remained the same stubborn, sarcastic, annoying criminalist he'd grown to really like. So certain on timing. Though he was sure that he wouldn't have done the same thing if Sanchez hadn't thrust him straight into his pathway.

His smile would forever be his favourite part about the way the conversation once.

And Eric never actually said 'yes' or 'I'll see you there', but Ryan already got the impression he would show up. Arrogance much? Well, not for Wolfe so much. He'd been dreading asking him out. It's why he stuttered a lot. Didn't want the embarrassment of being loud and brutal about it.

He put his headphones on and pressed the link to the song that Ryan had sent him a few moments ago. When he listened to the lyrics ("I could be good for you") he knew it was serious. He was pursuing the Cuban-Russian less quietly. And that felt like a big achievement on Eric's part. He made the first move. That meant he could have some relief in making this work.

Dinner at 7. I'll remember that.
