Three agonisingly-long days had gone by and Obi-Wan and Yoda still hadn't arrived - nor had Ahsoka heard anything from them, although she could feel a slight presence somewhere out in the galaxy that reminded her of the two Jedi. Ahsoka wasn't making any progress with Anakin either - whenever she approached the unconscious body of her former Master, she was shooed away by a harsh Force push. She didn't know if that was intentional or not.
Either way, she dreaded the state Anakin would be in when he woke up.
Ahsoka found herself missing her Master's cooking as she ate from a ration packet, sitting alone in the large mess hall. However, she was more focused on using the Force to search the galaxy for Obi-Wan and Yoda. But all she sensed was the Dark Side - a huge veil of it over the entire galaxy. Ahsoka pushed herself away from her table, before standing up and walking out of the mess hall.
The door to Anakin's room lifted open as Ahsoka neared it. Fully expecting to be pushed away once again, she closed her eyes as she headed inside. When that didn't happen, she opened them again. "Anakin." she gasped.
Anakin was laying on his bed, running his eyes over his new prosthetic arm. As he heard Ahsoka speak, he turned his head towards her, showing her his eyes. They were mostly blue, but Ahsoka noticed traces of a cold yellow in them.
"Hi." she managed, "How do... they feel?"
Anakin flexed his fingers. "They'll do." he answered, slowly rising to his feet. He stumbled as he rested his weight on his prosthetic legs. Ahsoka hurried over, wrapping her arms around him for support.
"Thank you." Anakin breathed, using Ahsoka's body as support. She helped him outside, then into the mess hall.
"You must be starving." Ahsoka commented, lowering Anakin onto a stool, "Wait here, I'll get you something. And, uh, some new clothes."
Ahsoka sat across from Anakin, leaving a folded set of brown robes on the table beside her and a ration pack in front of Anakin.
They stayed in silence as Anakin picked at his food.
"What do we do?" Ahsoka finally spoke.
"We fix this." Anakin answered, keeping his eyes down.
"You mean you want to kill the Emperor." Ahsoka said, "If Master Yoda and Obi-Wan couldn't, what hope do we have?"
"We have to try." Anakin argued.
"Anakin, listen to me. We can't rush inand try to fight him - we'd just get ourselves killed." Ahsoka countered.
"So we wait and let Palpatine rule over the galaxy I ruined?" Anakin suddenly snapped, looking up at Ahsoka. His outburst made her jump.
"You ha--" Ahsoka choked, before quickly turned her head away from Anakin.
"Oh... Snips, I'm sorry." Anakin reached over to hold her hands, but she pulled them away.
"No, I understand." Ahsoka nodded, looking back at him, "I get it."
Anakin pushed the ration packet aside. "Don't defend me." he said, "I am sorry. When we reinstate the Republic, I'm going to turn myself in."
"No, you can't!" Ahsoka pleaded, "You're a good person, Anakin."
Anakin knew there was no point arguing with her. So instead, he tried to stand up again. Ahsoka began climbing up to help him, but he stopped her. "I have to get used to them." he dismissed, resting a hand on the table as he tried shifting his weight between his arm and legs.
"You're not alone." Ahsoka spoke. Anakin looked down to her, "When you asked me to join you, I did consider it. The Jedi pushed us both, Anakin."
Anakin picked up the new robes, "I'll be right back."
"What are we doing then?" Ahsoka asked, placing a few bags in the cargo hold of her ship.
Anakin took a seat behind the controls, "I'm not sure. But I know one thing - we can't stay here. Palpatine's probably looking for us."
Ahsoka took a seat beside Anakin, opening a holopad on the dashboard, "Let's see... somewhere in the Outer Rim, right?"
"Yeah. What was that planet Master Yoda visited once? With that heavy Dark Side presence?" Anakin wondered, powering up the ship.
"Hmm." Ahsoka flicked through a few planets, "Dagobah? Was that it?"
"Yeah, that sounds about right." Anakin began taking off.
"Says here it's a swamp planet." Ahsoka read, a tone of disheartenment in her voice.
"We won't be there long." Anakin assured her.
"I hope not."
