Ahsoka fell onto the sand below her, dropping her lightsabers. "You ok?" Anakin called as Ahsoka caught her breath.
"Yeah." Ahsoka gasped, "I'm just tired."
Anakin lowered his lightsaber. "How long were we training?" he wondered, looking up at the twin suns above.
"Not long." Ahsoka sighed, climbing to her feet, collecting her lightsabers, "Maybe I'm just hungry."
Anakin dropped his hilt into his pocket. "Subtle." he laughed, receiving a wink from Ahsoka. As they both made their way to the descending staircase into their new home, Ahsoka gave a passing glance to their farming equipment set up in the surrounding area, smirking. She'd only been living on the planet for a month, and she was already getting used to it.
"Oh, hang on." Anakin stopped her, "Can you grab that box?*
"Huh? This one?" Ahsoka assumed, lifting a red box thay had been sittitng at the top of the stairs, "What's this?"
"A bunch of medical supplies." Anakin said as Ahsoka handed the box to him, "It was supposed to come with all our farming stuff, but they forgot to send it. Better late than never I guess."
"So, what sounds good today?" Anakin called from the kitchen as Ahsoka took a seat outside.
"Oh, do we have any shuura?" Ahsoka called back, "If we do, then lots of them."
Anakin chuckled, "Really?"
"Skyguy." Ahsoka groaned.
"Uh sure, sure." Anakin said, piling a few shuura into a bowl, "Here you go."
Ahsoka bit into one of the shuura, quickly finishing it and moving onto the next. Anakin watched her from across the table, holding back a laugh. "What?" she asked with her mouth full.
"Nothing. Where's this come from?" Anakin asked.
"I'm just hungry." Ahsoka shrugged.
"For shuura specifically?"
"I guess."
Anakin leaned forward, pressing his palm against Ahsoka's forehead. "You feeling ok?"
"Of course." Ahsoka swallowed the last shuura, "Why wouldn't I be?"
Anakin moved his hand to her cheek. Ahsoka smiled, leaning against his palm.
"Hey, do we have any more of these?" Ahsoka whispered.
"No, those were the last ones." Anakin answered.
"Oh." Ahsoka sighed, before closing her eyes and placing her hand over Anakin's. "Your hand's cold."
"That's because it's made of metal."
"Oh yeah. Sorry about that, by the way."
"It's fine. I'm ambidextrous now which is cool." Anakin joked. Ahsoka finally pulled her cheek away from Anakin's hand, giggling at his joke. "You ready for round two?"
"I don't know." Ahsoka stretched, "I'm not really feeling it anymore."
Ahsoka sighed as she stared up at the ceiling of the bedroom. She couldn't sleep, unlike Anakin who was laying beside her.
As she wrapped her fingers around Anakin's hand, Ahsoka slowly closed her eyes. Insomnia was unfamiliar to her.
Suddenly, she winced as she felt a sharp but passing pain in her stomach. Her eyes shot open as she felt her body heat up. And with that, she was out of bed and rushing to the bathroom.
Ahsoka had made three trips to the bathroom to throw her guts up so far this month. Not a good sign, she decided, as she set her toothbrush into the cup on the sink, after cleaning out her mouth. Then, an idea crossed her mind - an idea that she wished hadn't crossed her mind. Ahsoka tried to ignore it, heading for the door... but that idea brought her back into the bathroom, looking at the medicine cabinet.
By now, Anakin had stuffed all of the supplies into the cabinet. Ahsoka sifted through the assorted boxes and baskets inside, until she reached something at the back.
She gulped as she found herself staring at a pregnancy test.
"Scan stomach... something something..." Ahsoka mumbled, reading from the back of the box, "I just gotta make sure. It's definitely nothing."
Anakin fiddled with the wiring inside one of his farming machines. Something had gone wrong and he was trying to fix it. His entire upper body was sticking inside the machine.
"How's it looking?" he called out to Ahsoka.
"Good, yeah." she answered, watching him work.
"You sure? Is it working?"
"Huh? Oh, yeah. It is."
"Oh, finally." Anakin pulled himself out of the machine, drawing his forearm across his forehead and looking up at the machine. Then, he turned his attention to Ahsoka. "Hello? Tatooine to Snips."
Ahsoka was looking out over the flat terrain around her and Anakin's homestead, her grey eyes full of worry.
Anakin climbed to his feet, then snuck towards her. Before she could register his advance, he pulled her into a hug.
"What's up?" he asked.
"Nothing's up." Ahsoka answered, quickly replacing her anxious look with her regular playful smile.
"Yeah right. I can sense your emotions, you know." Anakin teased, pulling away.
"Really. I'm fine, Skyguy." Ahsoka insisted.
"Alright then." Anakin shrugged, "You feel like training later?"
"No." Ahsoka answered, scratching the back of her head, "I still don't feel like it."
"If we leave it too long, we'll get rusty." Anakin warned.
Ahsoka swallowed, turning her attention back to the surrounding landscape. She felt Anakin trying to read her emotions more thoroughly, but she locked him out.
"Just tell me what's wrong. Please?"
Ahsoka closed her eyes, cursing herself. "Fine. Do you remember about a month ago, while we were on Dagobah?"
"Yeah, what about it?"
"Do you remember our last day on Dagobah?"
Anakin smirked, laughing a little as he answered, "Yeah."
Ahsoka looked back at Anakin. "Nevermind." she answered after a while of pause, before turning to head back home. She gasped as she felt herself freeze as Anakin lifted her back to him with the Force. He then wrapped his arms around her waist from behind.
Ahsoka grinned, running her fingers along his arms as his hands uncrossed, resting instead on her belly.
"Luke for a boy." Anakin whispered in her ear, "Ashla for a girl."
"Y--" Ahsoka was speechless, "Yuh--"
"No, wait a minute... 'Ashla' is a bit obvious." Anakin decided, "We'll workshop it."
Ahsoka spun around in Anakin's arms, "You knew?"
"Not until right now."
Anakin cupped his arms under Ahsoka's thighs, lifting her so that she was sat on his arms, her stomach at his eye-level.
"So... this is good?" Ahsoka asked shakily.
Anakin laughed as he slowly began moving spinning Ahsoka in the hair. "Of course!" he beamed.
Ahsoka caught his infectious smile, playing with his hair as he used the Force to open her robes, kissing her belly.
"Do you like Leia for a girl?" he asked.
