Chapter 8
Logan's groin stirred as he watched Marie slowly, sensually pull up the zipper of the leather uniform the Professor gave to him. The beast within was ready to rip the uniform back off, throw his mate on the bed and give her a good pounding, but Logan reminded the beast that they had work to do.
"You look so sexy in this. Do you think the Professor will let you keep it?" Marie said with a wicked smirk.
His brow slowly raised. "Leather turns you on huh? Well...maybe after we get back to Colorado, we can go check out that new adult store they opened downtown."
Her playful smile broadened. "I think we should." Suddenly a dark cloud came over both of them. Marie hugged Logan tight as her shaky voice whispered in his ear. "Bring our baby home...and be careful. I love you my dear husband, my mate."
He wrapped his arms around her waist, holding her tight. "I love you too, darlin'. Nothing will stop me from getting our cub back. I love you." He peppered her face in light kisses before leaving for the biggest battle he's fought since wartime.
As he stepped onto the plane, he took a look around. Storm in the pilot seat, Hank, already changed into his blue Beast at navigation, Victor and Nightcrawler in seats directly behind them, all dressed in the same black leather suit as him.
He scowled a little at Wade dressed in his red suit. "You look like an idiot, Wade. Ness make those pajamas for you?"
"Oh...as if you look like a prince in your little costume. I told the Professor that you have a fetish for yellow spandex, but he said there wasn't enough time to make one for you. Be lucky you got an actual X-Men uniform, prick."
Logan smirked. "Marie likes it...a lot. Fuck off, Wade."
Victor gave a glare at both of them. "That's enough, you two. Wolverine, sit your ass down and buckle up. A few rules, from this point on, codenames only. Got it? Also, Storm is the lead here so we follow her directions."
Logan nodded. "I just have one requirement. Whoever is in charge of hurting my boy...all of these kids...his ass is mine."
They all nodded as the jet engines fired up. Storm gave Wolverine a small smile. "I think that can be arranged."
~ooOoo~
The team moved quietly through the woods. As they reached the edge, they crouched down, using the trees and brush as cover while they assessed the situation.
"Two guards outside. We need to take them out before they have a chance to raise the alarm." Victor muttered.
Wade shook his head. "There's no cover between here and there. None of us is fast enough to get to them without being spotted."
Storm and Beast gave each other a look. "Amateurs." Hank muttered.
"Nightcrawler, you're up." Storm said in a commanding tone.
Everyone watched as Kurt disappeared in a puff of smoke, materializing behind the two guards, grabbing each by the shoulder before either of them knew what was happening.
When Kurt reappeared in the brush where the others were, the two guards were face-to-face with Logan and Victor. The brothers seemed to read the other's mind as they both gave hard punches to the jaw of the man in front of them, knocking them unconscious.
"My turn." Storm stated as her eyes glowed an eerie white. The wind picked up as dark clouds appeared. A thick fog rolled in, covering the entire landscape to obscure the movement of the team from the cameras as they made their way to the large metal door.
Now it was Logan's turn. He looked up towards the top of the door before crouching. It had been a long time since he had done something like this, and he hoped that he could still jump that high.
He made his leap, thankful that he still had it in him. The claws on his right hand sprang forth as he caught the top portion of the door, the middle claw slipping into the small space where the two doors met. As his weight and gravity quickly pulled him down, he could feel and hear the large bolts of the locks cutting.
As he landed, Victor and Hank already had their hands on each of the doors. With some effort, they were able to quickly open them enough for the team to get in.
Just as they got inside, the four guards startled, three of them raising their rifles as the forth made a dash for the alarm switch.
Logan, putting his new claws to good use, sliced through the rifles like butter with a single swooping slash. Hank and Vic knocked out two of the guards with hard punches, as Kurt whipped his tail around the neck of the third, hoisting him up before slamming him headfirst into the thick concrete wall.
Simultaneously, Wade threw one of his katana swords at the man who was going for the alarm. The man howled and dropped to his knees as the sword sliced through his outstretched arm, severing the limb.
As Wade nonchalantly made his way to retrieve the sword, Logan let out a soft "Damn."
"Good work, Deadpool. For once you didn't kill anybody." Hank stated with some delight.
"Day isn't over yet." Wade said as he picked up his sword, wiping the blood off it.
After gathering the men, gagging and tying them up, Hank even applied a blood clotting agent and dressed the wound of the now one-armed man before stashing them into a nearby storage closet, they began to make their way down a corridor with Storm creating an electromagnetic pulse to disable the cameras.
As the team stepped into the next corridor, they were confronted by a group who already had rifles raised. Obviously, the sudden electrical issues with the cameras had alerted the rest of the facility that they had unwanted company.
Vic, Logan and Wade quickly stepped to the front to protect Storm, Beast and Nightcrawler. Wade pulled both of his swords, spinning and slashing at the air as the rifles started blasting. Sparks flying from the blades as the bullets were bouncing off and the guards began crumbling to the floor.
Logan took a good look and realized that the bullets were being redirected back to the guards, mowing them down in the process. Once the last guard laid in a heap, Logan gave Wade a surprised look. "Holy shit, man! Where the hell did that just come from?"
Wade shrugged. "Fast reflexes."
"Fuck! You really have been holding back in the cage...haven't you?"
"No more than you. How 'bout when we get your boy back, me and you finally have it out for real? See who the real king is."
"You're on!" Logan smirked.
Hank looked over to the bodies on the floor. "Was that really necessary, Deadpool?"
"Told you the day wasn't over." He responded sarcastically.
Storm shook her head. "Alright, obviously they know we're here. Sabretooth and Wolverine, according to the Professor's sources, the children are being held on the lower level. The two of you and Nightcrawler will go to free them. Nightcrawler, you will be able to transport the children back to the jet in groups?"
Nightcrawler nodded. "Now that I know the layout of the interior, I should be able to take four at a time."
"Why not take them all at once?" Victor asked.
"One, we don't know exactly how many there are. Two, I have never tried with more than four, plus myself, and even that is a bit difficult." Kurt replied factually.
Logan nodded. "Ok, four at a time then. Nightcrawler, if me and Sabretooth get the kids on the move, will you be able to pop in at our current location to take more?"
Kurt nodded at Logan's plan. "At least calculate a general proximity, that shouldn't be too hard to do. Yes...get the children going in the direction of the exit and I will be able to teleport to and from."
"Ok. You three know what you need to do. Deadpool, you're with me and Beast, we'll head to the main operations floor and try to disable the locks to other exits, hopefully to get the children out faster, and download the data from the computer so that the Professor can determine what they are doing here and who's behind it." Storm instructed before everyone split off.
