The Mages Of The Leaf
AN: I'm back but for how long I do not know but I will try to update as much as possible in this time. For those who are wondering why I've been gone so long well my job got so much work that I was simply too tired to write when I got home.
In addition, I was thinking not to ever write again because I was not getting any good reviews that didn't have any creative criticism. They were all 'you suck' or 'this is the worst story ever'.
This wasn't helping me write since I didn't know what was wrong and what I should improve on. However, the reviews that did help me were the reason I held out.
Therefore, here is Chapter 22

-Naruto's Home-
After leaving the group at the gate, Naruto took both Mavis and Karin back to their home to inform them of the Nine-tails deal.
"Welcome home son." Kushina was the first to greet him at the door with a warm hug.
Something he had become addicted to since her return to him and he would be the first to admit he loved it.
"Hello mom, are the other here or are they out."
"I believe Mira just got home and is upstairs taking a nap…"
"As for Erza and Temari well I think they just went out to pick up groceries for tonight's dinner.
"I see well I'll be heading to the council room when they return please tell them I have something important to tell them you including mom."
With that he left not letting her ask what the meeting would be about and simply sighed at she saw her son disappear in the shadows.
"There he goes again huh Mavis… oh he took you as well… and Karin… and I'm speaking to myself now." Kushina said while looking around realizing she was alone and talking to herself.
She shrugged and decided to head out into the village, walk around, and enjoy her home village be so full of life once more.
-Council Room-
Everyone was just getting into his or her spot with Tsunade being directed to the seat at Naruto's left saying the right belonged to Mavis.
The old Clan heads merely stood behind their children to see how they acted as the new leaders. Everyone was chatting with each other waiting for Naruto to arrive.
"So Ino do you have any suitors or are you planning on waiting a bit more?" Inoichi asked his daughter who sighed longingly and pouted.
"I wish but with the amount of work I have I hardly have any time to look for a date." Ino pouted more while crossing her arms making the others laugh and nod at her direction.
"Kiba surely has at least a girlfriend no?" Tsume asked her son who laughed nervously and looked away.
"No man can get a date now a day since all the women populace wants is to throw themselves at Naruto." Shikamaru said while laughing.
"Don't worry me and the other won't let them get close enough to make a move on our man." The voice of Mavis echoed across the room making them look around to find it.
That is when they saw a shadow start to rise and take on the forms of Naruto and Mavis who immediately took her seat while waving at everyone. Naruto looked around and waited for everyone to be seated and once he saw that everyone was he sat down.
"Now what I will say is very grave and I would like for silence until I finish."
Everyone looked at him seriously and waited for his speech Naruto seeing this took a deep breath and began his report of the outcome of the Kage meeting.
-Wendy-
As the meeting took place, Wendy was just leaving her extra study lesson with Shizune tired and hungry.
"Carla want go to Ichiraku Ramen and get a quick bite to go before we head home?" Carla who was on top of her head sighed having gotten used to Wendy's weird craving for Ramen.
"Yo Wendy are you barely getting out… man that sucks."
Wendy turned around and saw her two new friends walking by making Wendy start to think that they were going out.
"Oh Sarah, Trevor hello and yes I have extra lesson with Shizune after school to try and catch." She told them while trying to hide her blush.
"I know what you're thinking and no we are not going out I found him chasing Rex around the village and decided to help him out." Sarah said making Wendy calm her blush.
"What she said oh hey Wendy can you help please its Rex's bath day and he took off since he hates bath day." Trevor asked while putting his hand in a praying position to convince her.
"Sure I will, hey Carla can you fly around and help out please."
This made Sarah and Trevor look at her as if she grew a second head since as far as they knew cats didn't fly.
"Um Wendy cats don't fl….. Holy shit she's flying!" Sarah and Trevor screamed out while looking at Carla fly around.
"Fine but I wish to have warm milk when we get home." Carla told her while flying off.
"Well come on she will be our eyes in the sky." Wendy said while walking off to start looking.
Sarah and Trevor just stared at Carla fly off into the distance with the eyes wide open and mouth nearly touching the ground.
"Hey guys you coming?" Wendy asked before both ran towards her and grabbed her hand making her let out a cute Eep.
"Wendy, where can I get one of those cats?" Sarah asked while looking at her in the eyes.
"Are there dogs too please say yes?" Trevor said while grabbing her left hand.
Wendy was backed into a wall and was about to start stuttering out nonsense when she saw Rex sneak by behind them.
"Rex!" Wendy screamed while squeezing her way out while running towards him.
Rex noticed her and was about to run towards her when he saw Trevor and ran away making the three of them jump at the same time to catch him.
It didn't work as Rex used his ninja training to jump through the gaps making all three of them slam their faces against each other.
"When I get you I'm making sure to give you an ice cold bath buddy." Trevor warned him while rubbing his nose and glaring at the snickering Rex who then ran under a fence.
"He seems to be heading towards the shopping district." Sarah said while covering her bleeding nose.
"Here let me help." Wendy said while taking Sarah's hand off her nose and using her sky magic to heal her nose.
Sarah just watch her hand glow sky blue before she placed them on her face and instantly felt like she was being purified.
"There all better." Wendy said while smiling at her.
"T-thank you Wendy." Sarah said while touching her nose and feeling it all better.
With that, all three ran after the little pup intent on capturing him and making him take his shower.
-Council Room-
After Naruto's report, everyone was left speechless and was looking at him with wide eyes even Mavis was at a loss for words.
"F-fourth ninja war?" was all Tsunade could say having lived through two wars and knowing what horrors awaited.
"Yes so I am here to start war plans that will then be sent to the other kages as soon as possible so Mavis if you have anything please speak now." Naruto told her in full Kage mode.
"I have a few but I need to do some more calculation and would need the other villages to send over a bit more information on their current military to form any solid plans."
"Understood please go and start sending out letters to them and tell them specifically what you need to have no issues since this is a time sensitive issue."
Mavis nodded and instantly stood up and left to do as told she would not let anyone die a foolish death if she could prevent it.
The other looked around at each other before Hinata stood up and looked at Naruto.
"What would you have us do Uzukage-sama?" Naruto looked at her and thought for a moment.
"I need the Hyuga clan on full alert and I need them at the border and at every entrance in case Madara tries to attack." Hinata nodded while everyone else waited for orders.
"Ino I need your clan to try and gather anything from the Zetsu clones that Shizune was able to recover from the failed invasion, Shikamaru have the Nara clan help Mavis in anything she needs." As he gave out order, the mentioned people left to fulfill them.
"Shino I need your clan to scatter along with the Inuzuka's around all of whirlpool and report anything out of the ordinary no matter how small."
"Choji we will need a lot of food pills so please have your clan work on those while also have your strongest fighter ready their weapons, Neji have Tenten start gathering as much weapons as possible and have Lee lead a group of three toward Kumo."
"Why Kumo sir?" Neji asked him.
"The Raikage has found out that his brother is out there and I want him to know we are there to help." With that, the rest got up and went out to help as much as possible or to prepare for war.
-Uzu Street-
As the meeting was going on Wendy and her friends were busy chasing down rex all over the village.
"Do you see him?" Trevor shouted to the other two as he looked from the street.
"Not yet." Wendy shouted back from the roof of a restaurant.
"Damn where can that little flea bag be?" Sarah said while looking from on top of a lamppost.
As they, all met up together once more to come up with a better plan they saw shadows fly by on top of their heads.
"Wow they seem to be in a hurry." Wendy said before noticing Mavis in the lead heading towards the Anbu HQ.
"Hey isn't that one of the Uzukage's wife?" Trevor said with Rex walking up to them unnoticed.
"She seemed to be deep in thou-"Sarah couldn't finish her sentence since at that moment they saw dozens of ninja going in every direction.
"What's going on?" Wendy asked seeing many of the ninja's faces having a serious and slightly scared look.
Before they could do anymore an Inuzuka and Yamanaka clan member landed in front of them.
"Sarah…" "Trevor…"
"You have to come back to the compound immediately." The members said while grabbing them by the arms and not giving them time to talk.
Wendy saw her friends disappear in a body flicker technique and was about to call to them when out of nowhere a man with gravity defying silver hair appeared.
"Yo, your father told me to take you to him…"
Wendy looked at him and without another word he grabbed her by her shoulder and body flickered them away.
-With Naruto-
As Kakashi was bringing Wendy over Naruto was busy talking to shinobi after shinobi telling them what he needed from them.
"Uzukage-sama… Lee reporting as summoned!" Lee shouted while giving the most straight salute he could make.
Behind him were Neji, Tenten, Kotetsu Hagane, and Izumo Kamizuki saluting him as well with serious expressions on their faces.
"Good you all came quick… Lee I'm putting you in charge here as your first Jonin mission, understand." Lee stood even straighter if that was even possible.
"Now listen you are to go to Kumo and head to the Raikage office and he will give you the rest of the mission details understand." Naruto told them getting them to nod.
With his part over Naruto waved, them off making them all disappear in swirls of smoke. Just then, Kakashi appeared with Wendy and Carla who looked around to see where they were.
"Ah you're here good now Kakashi I know you are still tired from the failed invasion but I need you and Guy to head over to Fuu's location and bring her back immediately."
"Right we'll leave immediately." With that, he was gone in a shimmer.
"Wendy I need you to sit on the couch and we'll leave together ok." Naruto told her without looking.
Wendy for the first time since arriving here saw her father in a scary light. What she saw was not the kindhearted man she would call papa in his place was what she could only describe as an enraged dragon ready to kill.
"Y-yes sir." She said before running to the couch and sitting quietly.
What she saw was stunning her father was ordering men after men without a break with each passing group she grew more concern.
"P-papa what going on?" she questioned after she saw a small break in the influx of people.
Naruto looked in her direction and hesitated to answer before realizing he would need to secure the student.
"Everything will be explained tomorrow in school." He answered while looking forward trying to not scare her more then she already was.
"Come on lets go home I need to talk with everyone."
"Y-yes papa."
With that, she walked towards him and grabbed his hand while looking at him with a tiny smile. With that they also vanished in the wind with Hinata already knowing what she needed to do.
-Uzumaki Household-
Inside the household Mira, Erza, and Temari had already heard from Mavis what was going on and were now waiting for him to return.
"W-war is really coming?" Erza asked while hugging Namida close.
"Yes and from what I've seen this will be a big one the enemy is over one hundred thousand strong… while the entire five great nation together only make about forty to fifty thousand." Mavis told them while at the coffee table overlooking the documents and files the Nations had sent over.
As it would seem the other nations had the same thought and instantly sent over everything about their military and combat strength and weaknesses as well as their combined resources to Naruto to look over.
Before anyone else, to ask something the front door opened and in came Naruto and Wendy.
"Good you're all here." Naruto said while looking at Mira and Erza sitting on the couch with their children.
Temari and Kushina were on the other couch opposite off Mira and Erza while Kushina carried Zeira.
"Wendy please have a sit with Mavis… Mavis I will need you to stop that for a few minutes." Naruto told them making Mavis look at him with a raised eyebrow but did as asked.
Naruto looked at them all before taking a deep breath and getting ready to tell them everything the nine tails told him.
-Unknown location-
Fuu was currently hiding waiting for her target to arrive and finish the mission that Naruto had assigned her.
'Has the target left his safe zone beetle?' Fuu whispered over her mic to one of her teammate/bodyguard.
'Negative captain he still seems to be locked in there.' The gruff voice of her teammate sounded through the mic making her frown.
'Lizard status report.' Fuu expected the smooth sounding voice of her more feminine teammate to sound through but all she got was static.
'Lizard?... are you there?... Lizard!?' Fuu was now slightly concerned.
'Attention wolf, salamander… Lizard seems to have encountered something please head over and examine.' Fuu ordered while waiting for the 'yes captain'.
All she got in return was more static and this was now cause for concern.
'Beetle return immediately something is wrong!'
Once more, all she got was static and before she was able to go and investigate, four objects fell in front, on her making her leap back. What she saw made her go into immediate alert as in front of her where the severed head of her teammates/bodyguards.
She whipped out her katana given to her by Naruto saying it would be better to have a close quarter's weapon just in case.
She scanned the area ready for an attack she could feel it eyes on her and blood lust like she never felt before.
"Show yourself I know you're there!" she yelled while taking out a kunai and holding it behind her back.
Just like that she saw four pair of eyes appear on all four side blocking all exist but the eyes were not her concern it was what she recognized about them that were.
'T-the sharingan b-but how I heard that Madara was the last one with those eyes since Sasuke was killed and he killed his brother!'
Now she was scared because like all jinchuuriki's she was never good with genjutsu and now somehow there were four other users in front of her.
"Come quietly and we won't hurt you much." All four said in the exact same voice.
Now as they stepped into the light it made her eyes widen in shock for surrounding her was Sasuke Uchiha.
"How you're supposed to be dead!?" she questioned while sending chakra through her weapons.
They never responded instead they all leapt at once with their own swords flowing with lighting chakra.
'Shit… I ain't getting out of this huh?' Fuu mused as she blocked strike after strike getting nicked on her left thigh and left shoulder making her left arm useless.
They saw her muscle spam uncontrollably in her left size making them all smirk and attack once more. Acting fast she dropped half of her smoke bombs in random directions for a quick distraction.
They seemed to buy it and she leapt into the air and landed in the trees before rushing in a random direction no longer thinking clearly now only thinking on instincts.
As she was able to get away a fair, distance she stopped to warped her thigh and tried to send as much bijuu chakra as she could to those sections to accelerate the healing process.
"Going somewhere demon?" her eyes were wide never sensing him while she looked up to see him sitting on the branch on top of her.
"Like I said come quietly and we won't hurt you much." He repeated while another two landed on her sides grabbing her arms and legs and while the last landed crouched in front of her.
Before she could think of a way out Sasuke's blade imbedded itself into her stomach.
"The seven tails has been captured." That was the last thing she heard before she inadvertently looked into his eyes and saw nothing but darkness consume her.
'Sorry Wendy… looks like you'll have to… find another teacher.'
The Sasuke clones stood around her looking smugly before one picked her up and hoisted her onto his shoulders. As they made their way out of the forest with their prize, none of them notices a small nose in the bushes leave without a trace.
-On a tree some distance away-
"What do you want to do now?" a man with a smile so bright some would say it was annoyingly bright.
"Simple… we save her." A lazy voice said while lifting his right hand and bringing it down in one fell swoop.
With that over twenty men rushed forward all wearing masks with different designs while the two split up to flank them.
The sasuke clone heard movement behind them and instantly prepared for what they thought was going to be a simple fight. One was unfortunate enough to be pierced by a flaming arrow incinerating him instantly.
At that the remaining three activated their sharingan but it was too late seeing as a fist made of lighting appear through one while another was kicked in the face to hard some would say the head exploded upon contact.

The last hearing this made a run for it knowing he stood no chance giving as he held onto the unconscious body of Fuu who swayed with every movement he made.
Soon he found himself running on top of a riverbank with ten men behind him and five on each side of him with the two others right on his tail.
"Give it up you can't get away!" Guy shouted while everyone saw him activate two of the inner gates.
With that he blurred out of Sasuke's vision, the next Sasuke was flying forward, and in his movement he was able to see Guy with his right leg in the air while in his arms bridal style was Fuu.
The Sasuke glared at him before he made a half ram sign and sunk into the floor. The men instantly tried to stop him but he was gone.
"Good work Guy!" Kakashi said while his Sharingan eye was open and looking around him making sure Sasuke was gone.
"Who was that Kakashi?" Guy asked with a very serious expression on his face looking where Sasuke once was.
"I-I don't really know but one thing is certain… that was not Sasuke." Kakashi said while remembering not seeing a single trace of chakra in those eyes of his.
"Captain what are your orders?" a cat-masked shinobi asked while staying on alert.
"We head immediately back to Uzu on the double!" Kakashi yelled out while taking a small blue pill from one of his pouches.
'Good thing Shizune gave some of this before we left.'
Kakashi then opened Fuu's mouth and put the pill in before sliding a bit of water to help her swallow it. Almost instantly, the pill went to work as he could see the wound on her stomach begin to close.
Seeing everyone, ready Guy fixed Fuu in his arms and they all leapt onto the trees and rushed toward Uzu with chakra pumping their legs to move even faster.
On a tree a little more down river stood the masked man calling himself Madara looking as the group left glaring directly at Kakashi's back.
"It would seem that this Sasuke clone was also a failure." Zetsu appeared behind him from the ground while watching them go.
"It was your idea to incorporate Sasuke's blood with some of those white Zetsu's." Madara said while glancing in his direction.
"Yes but it seems we need that wood user to strengthen them to be able to handle his blood and balance it enough to make him able to use the Sharingan more than once."
"Then we will take him for with him in our power we will be able to make all the Zetsu clones into Sasuke clones and then the Shinobi alliance won't stand a chance against so many Sharingans."
"Why Sasuke clones with his blood we could always just find a way to give them the Sharingan instead and make them both wood users and Sharingan user we have no need for the brooding child."
"I wish to see Naruto's face when he sees that the one who will be killing his comrade is none other than Sasuke and then make him watch as I have them slaughter his precious family."
"Okay, we'll go with your plan… so shall we go?"
"Yes we have much to prepare." With that, both left without a trace.
Fuu is saved and on her way back to Uzu. Madara's plans have changed once more. Is Naruto prepared for what's to come or will Madara's plan succeed. You will have to wait until next time.
AN: Well here it is the newest chapter and again sorry for the wait but I just no longer have the time I used to.
Kids never get a job you hate, study so you can get a job you love and a job were you are your own boss.
That is all I have to say since I'm tired and I need to sleep to go to work later.
