The Mages Of The Leaf
AN: Well I'm back and I must say I hate my life right now. So much shit has happened from quitting my old job to starting anew and trying to go back to school.
Not only did my old laptop break down but I lost everything I worked on up till then. So I'm very sorry from not uploading, as of right now I'm currently using Google Docs from a new laptop.
So please forgive me I'm trying my best to keep on going with this stories.
-Uzu kage building-
Naruto was currently overlooking some strategies brought upon him by Mavis with such intensity that Mavis had never seen before.
"Is this what you have so far Mavis?" Naruto asked while shifting through the many documents she had given him.
"Yes, this is everything I have been able to calculate with the limited knowledge I have of this Madara."
She wasn't confident on this data working a hundred percent since the masked man hid to much to give her much to work with.
"I'm sorry if it isn't full proof." she hated not being able to safeguard everyone.
"No this isn't your fault Mavis after all this wouldn't be a war if there weren't any casualties." Naruto grimaced at this thought knowing men and women would die soon.
"What have you heard from Kakashi's team?" He asked trying to change the topic.
"Nothing so far they have not gotten in contact with us yet."
This worried the both of them since they knew Madara was now more actively going after the rest of the tailed beast because of him and of course Pein's little elimination of Sasuke.
Before Mavis could respond a messenger hawk appeared on the balcony behind Naruto.
"What's this… hmm sightings of Kabuto around the ruins of the leaf."
Mavis listened as Naruto read on while raising an eyebrow at the contents.
"That's pretty reckless of him to go anywhere near that place given his wanted by us?" Mavis questioned while already trying to come up with an answer.
"Tenzo!" Naruto loudly exclaimed while still reading the scroll.
From the wood flooring an Anbu emerged kneeling and awaiting his next orders.
"You called Lord Uzukage?"
"Yes I need you to gather a small team and investigate this sightings of Kabuto we can't let him roam around freely."
"Yes sir!" Tenzo said while merging back with the floor to do as commanded.
"Naruto about last night… have you talked with the nine tails yet."
"I will soon Mavis… right now though we need to get everything ready for the war." Naruto said while looking at yet another document.
After all, he also had to worry about the children of the academies and what they will need to do with them during this war.
-Ninja Academy training fields-
The room was silent no one dared to make a sound as right now everyone was waiting for the director to come and make an urgent announcement. Everyone was here from the medical students to the ninja academy.
"Wendy hey good morning." Sarah said with a forced smile while looking very nervous.
Trevor was next to her but was silent as was Rex but they did manage a small smile and wave.
"Good Morning you two." she responded with a small bow.
"Do you know why we have this assembly Wendy?" Trevor asked
At Wendy's nod they opened their mouths to ask but Wendy shook her head and pointed at the stage.
"That is the job of the director."
With that they fell into silence while staring at the stage waiting for the director while Trevor pet and scratched after another 30 minutes Shizune appeared and walked to the center of the stage with a serious face.
Everyone saw a big breasted lady standing to the side of the stage looking at the gathered students with what they saw was sadness and guilt on her face.
"I wish I could say good morning but the news I bring are nothing but horrendous..." Shizune said while sighing and looking at the children.
"...But I have to say this… in a few weeks time all of you will be forced to graduate early from the academies to empower the shinobi forces…"
When she said this every student instantly looked around and whispered why this might be the case.
"Wendy please tell me that what I'm feeling right now isn't true?" Sarah asked while trembling and looking ready to cry while staring Wendy in the eyes.
Wendy simply grabbed her hand and pulled her in for a hug and rubbed her back trying to hold back her own tears.
"... please quiet down and let me finished... the five Kage have entered into a new alliance called the Shinobi Alliance all because a mad man came and threaten them all." Shizune went on while trying to remain calm for the children.
"... because of this threat and kage's refusing to give in to his demands we have now entered the…" but fail as a few tears escaped her eyes
"... The Fourth Great Ninja War!" with this every child went into shock while looking at the teachers.
Sarah after hearing this broke down and cried into Wendy's shoulder while hugging her tighter. Trevor fell to his knees in shock while Rex whimpered and cried, trying to hide himself in his partners jacket.
"I know that this is too much to take in but as of now you will no longer be thought by the teacher but by seasoned shinobi to fight and kill in this short amount of time we have left."
"You will be taught far more seriously as we do not want you to die you will mainly serve as messenger ninja and will be tasked with the safe evacuation of civilians."
"We will be putting you all in teams of three as of right now to test teamwork so please choose wisely because this teams will mean your difference between life and death so make sure to at least have one medic-nin within each team!"
Wendy after hearing this grabbed Sarah's hand and dragged her to Trevor where she also grabbed his hand and dragged them both to Shizune.
"L-lady Shizune we would like to be a team." Wendy said while standing in front of both the big breasted woman and Shizune.
"Are you sure you don't need more time to think about it Wendy because if this team is not right you can really lose your life." Shizune said while internally smiling at her and feeling pride for her not abandoning her friends.
"I'm willing to risk that… I made a promise to the two of them that we would be in the same team and i don't want to break that promise even if I die, I want to make sure I kept that promise to my friends." Wendy said while grabbing both their hands and smiling at them.
This made both of them smile and wiped their tears while grabbing her hand back and looking at Shizune with the same fire as Wendy.
"I don't wish to die young so i think i'll give it my all and then some to make sure we all make it back alive." Trevor said while Rex barked in agreement and started growling and standing at alert.
"Then I will make sure this bone head keeps his word." Sarah said while puffing her chest and standing at attention.
"Very well then i will sign you up and send it to the Uzukage for approval now go to the right and get your necessary equipment for practice."
"Right!" all three said while rushing to the side to get ready.
Shizune smiled at the three of them before sending a small praying to anyone who might be listening to look over them.
-Uzukage office-
Naruto had just finished talking to Kakashi and the now healed Fuu and had heard some unsettling news.
"Damn it just when I thought we were done with Sasuke this happens."
"Yes but they seem to only be able to use the Sharingan once from what Fuu said with her fight with them." Gai said while looking at Fuu.
"Lord Uzukage please allow me to take the Jonnin exam right now… I know the kids will join the war and I want to keep my promise to your daughter." Fuu said at full attention with no hint of bullshit on her face.
"Kakashi take her and perform the exam we will need all the help right now."
Kakashi nodded and grabbed Fuu's shoulder while shunshing them away to a nearby training field.
"The rest of you take a two day rest and report back for your next assignment!"
"Yes sir!"
"What now honey?"
Mavis was worried for her husband seeing as he was currently glaring at the front door with his Rinne-Sharingan eyes spinning wildly and in full view.
"It's time I answered the fox." with that he stood up and took a full breath before disappearing in a regular shunshin. Mavis frowned and stood up to leave as well after all she still had plans to look over.
-Naruto's back yard-
Getting home Naruto went straight to the backyard to the pond near the center of his yard. Getting there he water walked to the little island in the center and sat down to meditate.
-Mindscape-
Naruto looked around and saw he was in front of the gate and looked inside to see the nine tail looking back.
"So you've returned Naruto?" the nine tail asked while sarcastically saying his name.
"Yes and i come with an answer to your proposal."
"Hmph so how do want he bloodline to manifest." the nine tails asked thinking his host had decided yes.
"No you don't understand fox i came to say thank you but no i will not be accepting you gift."
This threw the fox for surprising making him snap his neck to look at him with wide eyes and slightly open jaw.
"What did you say?"
"Exactly what you heard i will accept you help but i want nothing out of it but your respect since from now on i wish to be partners does that sound good."
The nine tail stared at him and for just a moment his saw the old man that created him staring and smile at him.
"Why?"
"Excuse me?" Naruto asked back not understanding.
"Why don't you act like all the rest? Why don't you hate me like all the rest!? Why don't you hate at all!?" the nine started out in a whisper before screaming the rest and looking him straight in the eyes.
"Because I no longer have a reason to hate you… I have a mother and sure I don't have my father but I can't hate you over something someone else did now can I-I want us to work together given how we will live together till the day I die." Naruto said while walking into the cage and coming up straight at him.
The nine tail for his part laid his head down with his snout in front of him while never breaking eye contact.
"N-naruto you sure are strange…" the nine tails said while closing his eyes and remembering the old man's last words.
"... but maybe this strangeness is what i have been searching for." he said while smiling to himself.
Naruto for his part laid his right hand on his snout making the nine tails look at him with surprise.
"Maybe with this power of mine I can set you free and send you and the rest to your very own summoning realm maybe i can find a way for you to finally be free for good."
"I-I will trust you Naruto and allow you to control all my chakra…"
"Thank you nine ta-" "Kuruma my name is Kuruma."
"Thank you Kuruma i promise to use it well."
With his trust placed on him Kuruma sat up and placed his hands together and used one of his tails to touch Naruto's forehead.
"Then go on and kick that masked mans ass for both of us!" Kuruma yelled while sending all his chakra to him making him glow and burst into golden flames.
"Don't worry i will and that is a promise of a lifetime and you know me Kuruma."
"Yes you never break your promises."
With that both bumped their fists together and smiled at each other while Naruto walked back and punched the gated wide open breaking them apart.
Unknowingly making the leftover chakra of his father disappear but not without making him smile proudly at his son.
"Good job son i knew you could do it." he said while slowly disappearing.
The gloves are off and the war is just around the corner will Naruto be ready for it now that he hold Kuruma's trust. That my friend is for the next chapter so be patient cause the real action starts soon.
