Guest: Thank you. I'll never stop writing for Lily, but this is actually quite a nice change. Ahh I hope you keep up to date, lol, as I know that you're an Alicia fan yourself. Thank you for your review.

Guest: That's the bit that made me think that, and the bit where she's running away crying as well. It could be a really interesting storyline, so in a weird way, I hope that it is the direction the show is taking. We'll see though. I'm glad that you like the story so far, and thank you for your review.

KimSeoYeona: It looks like a good storyline, whatever it is. Alicia has really grown on me, and I adore Chelsea Halfpenny anyway. I hope you're okay, here if you want to chat. Thank you for your review.

Guest: Connie will be in this story. That is a good idea, and I definitely enjoy writing moments between Connie and her staff. Usually, it's between Connie and Lily, but a scene with her and Alicia would be nice. Enjoy the update, and thank you for your review.

CasualtyFanForever81: I'm glad that you're enjoying it. Thank you for your review.

ReadingxTherapy: Thank you so much! Me too. It's such a sad and difficult storyline, but I think that it would be interesting and I guarantee that Chelsea will do a brilliant job with it. Let's just say, Lily and Alicia will end up developing a very close friendship in this story, which I'm looking forward to writing. Thank you for your review.

Chapter Two

Alicia was extremely pleased to see Lily when she turned up at the ED.

As soon as she saw her, she rushed to fling her arms around her neck. She didn't even care that anyone was watching. Tears pricked her eyes and she clung to Lily as if she'd been gone for years. Lily held her tightly and said nothing, as she could sense that her presence was more than enough for Alicia.

"You okay?" She whispered, pulling away from the hug.

Alicia nodded and gave her a small smile, wiping her nose along her sleeve, whilst keeping hold of Lily's hand.

"Lily," Ethan was the first to speak, and he slowly made his way over to the two women. "This is a weird but nice surprise. What are you doing here?"

"I um..." Lily looked to Alicia, who was giving her a subtle shake of the head. "I...I wanted to come back for a while. Hong Kong was nice, but it wasn't home. I missed Holby, and I missed the ED."

"Really?" Ethan frowned, as Robyn shoved past him to give Lily a hug.

"Really," Lily sighed, both arms around Alicia and Robyn. "I um...I read the blog as well. I wanted to check if everyone was okay."

"That was good of you," Robyn said, clearly believing what Lily was saying.

"Is Iain around?" Lily asked. "Mrs Beauchamp?"

"Iain is in the ambulance station. Mrs Beauchamp hasn't actually been very well," Ethan informed her, anxiously rubbing at the back of his neck. "Cancer, actually. I'm clinical lead in her absence."

"What?" Lily dropped her arms and her eyes widened. "Is she okay?"

She couldn't help but feel angry. Why had no one thought to inform her of Connie's illness? Connie had always been like a second mum to her, and she hated the fact that she was going through such a terrible illness. She could have died, and she might not have even known about it. Everything seemed to be so much different since she'd left, and it brought small tears to her eyes.

She made a mental note to go and visit Connie when she could. She needed to talk to her, to see if she was okay.

"She's fine," Robyn reassured her. "Honestly. She had a tumour on her heart but they've removed it, and she's having chemotherapy. Don't worry, alright?"

Lily nodded, even though she was worried. She wasn't going to stop worrying.

"Doctor Hardy!" Noel called from reception. "Phone call for you."

Ethan turned and nodded at him, before turning back to Lily and Robyn. He didn't even acknowledge Alicia. Lily sensed her upset and gave her arm a gentle squeeze.

"Robyn, get back to work," Ethan said. "It was nice to see you, Lily," he added, before walking away.

"He's changed, hasn't he?" Lily whispered to Alicia, as soon as Ethan and Robyn were out of sight. "I've got a hotel room booked for tonight. Come and find me once you've finished work, alright?"

Lily knocked lightly on the wall of the ambulance station and slowly made her way inside.

She could see Iain standing in the back of his ambulance, with his back to her, and part of her thought about going to leave. She couldn't though, could she? If she was going to be around Holby for a little while longer, then she'd have to face up to Iain sooner or later.

"Iain," she whispered, seeing as the knock hadn't got his attention.

He obviously recognised her voice, as he stopped what he was doing and slowly pivoted on the spot. He gulped and his eyes grew wider when he actually saw her standing there. Lily sighed deeply and placed her hands into the pockets of her white coat, walking further into the ambulance station.

"Lily."

Gosh, she loved the way that he said her name. It made her heart melt.

"What...What the hell are you doing here?" He asked. "You're supposed to be in Hong Kong."

"I know," she whispered. "Alicia called me. She was...A bit upset so...I decided to come back for a little while."

"Right," he scoffed and jumped down from the ambulance. "So you came back for Alicia, not your ex boyfriend?"

"Iain." Lily shook her head. "I...I didn't mean it like that. I came to see you now, didn't I?"

"And you expect that is going to make me feel better?" Iain asked and shrugged his shoulders. "What's going on, Lily? You and Alicia were never the best of friends, were you? So, why on earth would you come back for her?"

Lily hesitated and thought about what Alicia had told her, before answering. "I'm sorry. I can't say."

"No?" He raised his eyebrows. "Did something happen in Hong Kong?"

"No." She shook her head. "I'm fine. I came back to see a friend, but on the flight over here, all I could think about was you. I've been really excited to see you again, nervous, but excited."

She paused, before continuing.

"I've missed you, Iain."

A small smile spread across Iain's face, as he walked over to her.

"I've missed you too, Chuckles," Iain said. "More than I thought I would." He rocked back and forth on the balls in his feet, hands in his pockets, and stuttered, "I...I'm sorry, okay? Seeing you just caused a whole mix of emotions. Anger, joy, sadness."

"I understand," Lily whispered. "I did leave you."

"Hey, you had an opportunity and you took it," Iain said. "I'm sure I would have done the same if I was in your shoes. I missed you and I was devastated when you left, but I'm really proud of you. You've done well for yourself."

"That means a lot, coming from you," Lily said. "Thank you."

Iain looked towards the ambulance, before turning his attention back to Lily.

"I should get back to work," he said. "But did you want to get a drink later? We can catch up properly then."

"I can't later," Lily said. "But how about tomorrow? I'm going to be in Holby for a while, and I'd like to see you."

"Sure." Iain nodded, his smile growing bigger. "Tomorrow's good."

"What do you fancy?" Lily asked, as she opened the mini fridge that sat in the corner of her hotel room. "I don't mind paying, it's all on me, so just take your pick."

When she didn't receive an answer, she glanced over her shoulder at Alicia who was sat on the end of the bed. Her hair dangled in front of her face and she was anxiously biting on her fingernails. She was just in a complete daze and probably hadn't even heard Lily talk.

"What about a Kit-Kat?" Lily sighed, picking the chocolate bar out of the fridge.

She closed the door and handed it over to Alicia, before sitting down beside her.

"Thanks for coming," Alicia whispered.

It was the first thing that she'd said all evening, and Lily had to admit that it was good to hear her voice again.

"Don't mention it," Lily said. "How are you feeling?"

"I don't know, Lily," Alicia replied, as she slowly tore off the wrapper of her Kit-Kat. "I just don't know. I feel fine, but then something reminds me of what happened, and I just feel low. I feel worthless and...I blame myself."

"Do you remember what I told you?" Lily asked gently. "This is not your fault."

"But if I hadn't wrote that stupid blog, then it wouldn't have happened," Alicia said.

"How did you work that out?" Lily frowned in confusion.

"Because don't bad things happen to bad people?" Alicia asked.

"That's not true," Lily said. "These things just happen. You can't help it. Besides, you're not a bad person. You made one mistake, but you're not the first. I've made plenty of mistakes in the past, and I regret each and every one of them."

"I just...I..." Alicia clearly wanted to say something, but she just couldn't.

"What is it?" Lily asked. "Alicia, talk to me."

"I...I didn't see his face, but I think I know who it was," she whispered, taking a nervous bite out of her chocolate. "I don't know. This guy messaged me, telling me that he liked my blog and that he didn't want me to take it down. He wanted to tell me something."

"So, what did you do?" Lily questioned her.

"I gave him my email, told him to message me," she said. "That was all though. We messaged back and forth, but we never met."

"So it can't be him," Lily said. "How would he have known that it was you?"

Alicia hesitated and took a few more bites out of her chocolate.

"Alicia?"

"He knew my name," she sighed. "I gave it to him in an email. I had my name badge on when it happened, didn't I? He was probably watching me."

"Well, I'm not going to tell you how stupid that was," Lily sighed. "Even so, it might not be him. Do you know his name?" Alicia faintly nodded and finished off the Kit-Kat. "You should report it, you know? He can't get away with this."

"No," she choked out. "I...I can't report it, Lily."

"But the police need to know," Lily told her.

"Did you report it?" Alicia asked.

Lily bit down on her lip and went silent. She thought back to when she'd been raped, and remembered how she'd felt. It had been awful. She'd cried for days, in the privacy of her own bedroom, and she'd had no one to talk to about it either. She hadn't reported it, and now she felt like a right hypocrite.

"No," she finally answered, deciding that it was better to tell the truth. "I didn't."

"Then why are you trying to tell me to?" Alicia spat aggressively.

"Because I regret it, alright?" Lily practically snapped. "I regret the fact that I never told anyone. I was seventeen, I was stupid, and I should have told the police or at least my parents. This stuff, it stays with you forever. I still have nightmares, I still have days where I feel low, but I guarantee that it'd be better if I'd reported it. Maybe not, I don't know. That guy is probably still out there though, Alicia. I don't want you to have that hanging over you as well."

"I'm just so scared," Alicia sobbed and held her hands to her face, mascara running down her cheeks and mixing with her tears. "I don't want to talk to the police, Lily. I...I can't."

"I know it's hard," Lily whispered and placed a comforting hand on the ridge of her back. "But you need to promise me that you'll at least think about it, alright?"

Alicia faintly nodded, sniffing as more tears escaped her eyes.

"I just don't know how I'm going to cope," Alicia said, slowly starting to cry again. "I feel dirty."

"You can stay here with me tonight," Lily said. "Have a bath or a shower, and you can borrow a pair of my pyjamas. Come on, you look as if you could do with some sleep."

"I don't know if I'll be able to," Alicia told her, resting her head against Lily's shoulder. "Every time I close my eyes, I...I just see him."

Lily nodded and wrapped an arm around Alicia's waist. She rested her chin on the top of Alicia's head and listened closely to her heavy breathing and her quiet sobs.

"Then we'll just stay awake all night, and work our way through my Friends boxset," Lily told her. "I couldn't leave that in Hong Kong now, could I?"

A bit of a long chapter but I couldn't stop writing. I hope you enjoyed it. We've had Lily's return, Lily and Iain, and Lily and Alicia. I'm trying to make this as realistic and sensitive as possible, so I hope it's okay.

Also Lily wasn't actually raped in the show. That's just my own little plot line for the story, just to make things clear.

Thank you all for your lovely feedback on the first chapter. Please let me know what you think. I will try to update as soon as I can x
