Had a productive day off. Bought a car, fixed another's brakes, saved some money by switching to Geico and wrote another chapter. Enjoy

"Helios Inc?"
"Yeah, it's the umbrella corporation for all my ideas and inventions."
"Do wizards incorporate though? Seems like a muggle thing."

"No, very little suing in the wizarding world actually, now that I think of it. No Helios is a muggle corporation."
"Ok now you need to start explaining some things because that makes no sense."

"Ah yes and just remember this is a "workshop" so don't repeat anything I say from here on out. Let me start by saying its going to be hard to believe but its all the truth."

She just waved her hand motioning for me to continue.

"So to start at the beginning, I'm not from this universe."
She looked skeptical "Like an alien"

"Well technically since I'm not from here yes but I am human. I guess I should start with the basics. Have you ever heard of the multiverse theory."

She shook her head no.

"More of a non-fiction kind of girl I take it. Well it's the theory that there is an infinite number of universes, so many in fact that literally everything that can happen has in one. So in one magic and flying on brooms is possible in another it just in myth, folklore, and stories. I, or at least my consciousness, came from a universe where this world is a series of books that were adapted into a very successful movie franchise."

She stared at me for a moment then spoke.

"Do you really expect me to believe that?"

"Well I mean we do magic everyday. I bet if I told a muggle that when they have never done any or seen any they would say the same thing. I can prove it but it will take time. I know the future. Or at least I did." I said, frowning.

"Ah that's why you reacted like that at the feast."

"Yea"

I coughed into my hand to cover my red face. She just smiled at my embarrassment.

"Fleur wasn't supposed to be at Hogwarts for another 3 years. In Harry's fourth year. Seeing her was a huge red flag that my presence here had changed things far more and faster than I anticipated." I said

"Harry you mean Harry Potter? Why are you talking about Harry's fourth year."

"Well he's both the main and titular character of the series. He is the prototypical brave selfless type of hero throughout. In his fourth year he gets entered into a magical binding tournament by a death eater that was impersonating a teacher under polyjuice." She started to ask but I beat her to it "Its a potion to turn someone into someone else for around a half hour. That tournament was with two other magical schools, Beauxbatons and Durmstrang. Fleur goes to Beauxbatons and was their champion. "

"I see. So what about me? What was I like in the books?"

I smiled "You my dear were the brains behind the brawn so to speak. You constantly showed that you were indeed worth the title of the brightest Witch of her age."

She blushed at that.

"You also ended up marrying Ron Weasley."

I chuckled at the look of abject horror that passed over her face.

"I know we all were just as surprised. Honestly it felt like the author was just

forcing it. Same with Harry ending up with Ginny, Ron's younger sister. It was like she had all these characters and had to pair them off somehow so square peg into round hole I guess. Wow that sounded dirty out loud."

She was still reeling from that first bombshell and didn't hear the rest.

"That was another reason to help you. You were always my favorite character

and I hated seeing how those two held you back. Or at least Ron did, Harry's adventures may have caused you to do some really brilliant things you otherwise wouldn't. For instance that Polyjuice Potion I mention, you brewed it in the first semester of your second year. It's not taught by Snape until NEWT year. You brewed it in order to sneak into the Slytherin dorms"

"Why would I do that? It's against the rules."

Another thing that I will have to replicate. Harry and Ron did a good job breaking

her out of this 'by the book' mentality. They were good at bringing out her rebel.

"You were trying to find out if Malfoy was Slytherin's Heir. Long story we will

come back to that next year."

I then walked to the whiteboard and started writing some of this down.

"The most important thing you need to know is that Voldemort is not dead or at

least he's not gone. He's kind of a half-dead wraith thing at the moment."

I wrote it in big bold letters and underlined the not.
"Yes he is dead. All our books say so." She said smugly.

"Like I said this all came from a book so by that logic I'm right. Honestly Herms that is something that will prove itself true in time. Just humour me."

"Don't...Call...Me... Herms!" She said gritting her teeth.

"Really, but its so cute and it rolls off the tongue."

She just scowled.

"Alright Alright." I wiped the nonexistent sweat from my brow. Angry women were scary "Next major point, always carry a portkey."

I picked up the pocket watch off the desk and tossed it to her. She caught it after fumbling with it.

"What's a portkey?"

"You seen Star Trek?"

"Well of course. My dad is obsessed with it."

"Yea my dad was obsessed with Gunsmoke and Westerns. Trust me you got off easy. Back on point think of it like the transporter. It will take you back to a safe area, well as long as you aren't in wards like here at Hogwarts. I have been trying to figure out how to bypass them for years but still nothing." I sighed

"Is it safe?" She said now holding it like it might zap her away at any moment.

"Yea don't worry. If you are ever in an emergency and need to get away, shout Gilgamesh. That one will take you to St Mungo's hospital, so use it if you need medical attention also."

"Gilgamesh? Why Gilgamesh?"
"I don't know. I didn't see it coming up in conversation and it's easy to remember and fun to say." I shrugged

She put in her pocket and then looked back at me.

"You still haven't explained what this Helios does or why you need me."

"Ah yes well Helios at the moment is just an idea and a name. In time though its going to change the world." I look off into the distance with gravitas.

She laughed at my antics.

"It's ultimate goal is the seamless integration of magic and muggle means. Take for instance computing. You can gain some serious performance boosts by overclocking a PC except for one problem, heat. Magic has numerous ways of cooling or transferring heat."

"But magic destroys muggle technology."

"Yep that is the obvious reason why no muggleborn has done it. The real question that I am working towards answering is why. Why does magic effect tech? My working theory is magic is similar to EMP."

"EMP?"
"Electro-magnetic pulse. It destory's tech almost exactly like magic. I have found that enough lead can stop magic, again like EMP, but we are talking like more than a foot of the stuff. Copper works too and it takes less but still inches thick. It's not feasible for most of what I need it for. It does mean this works though."

I said pointing to a copper block on a desk. It was roughly a foot on all sides.
"Inside is a battery powered clock that has been running for over a year in Hogwarts. Hogwarts is one of the most magical dense places in the world, if it will work here it will work in any magical place. In fact. Wingardium Leviosa." I said casting at the block and began to move it up and down "Even spells can be cast at it if it's thick enough. Like I said though it's too unworkable in all but a few application."

I put the block down.

"Hermione I'm going to be honest with you, all I just described is illegal in the magical world if put in practice."

"What do you mean?"

"Pretty much every Magical gov't of the world has laws that prevent us from performing magic on muggle devices. It makes sense in one aspect if that was going to be used as some kind of prank or attack on muggles. Also there is the roadblock that is the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy. My ultimate goal isn't just to do this for the wizarding world but to the whole of humanity."

"That does seem to put a damper on that."

"Exactly, which is why I'm going to take over Magical Britain"

Sorry for all the exposition but hopefully that will be all for a while. Unfortunately, it's going to be a couple weeks before my next update. Works kicking my ass and I need to get some stuff done around the house I've been putting off. I'm not going anywhere I'm having a blast writing this. So see you guys soon.
