Mere liye tum kaafi ho
Just another day in her life. A stone cold dead body entering the lab and in no time a bunch of pumped up officers entering the lab before she was even fully done with the analysis, asking for answers. Moreover, with her boss not being there today,it was an extra stressful day. Also, may be, a small part of that stress was because she didn't get to see her favorite person in the whole day. Specially, when Dr. salunkhe was not seen in the lab, he would just get so happy like a literal child. A small part of her really wished to see his happy face after knowing his "Pyaar ka dushman" is off to delhi for the day. But alas, with the day almost over, Abhijeet still hadn't shown up in the lab. There was some thing about his mere presence around her that made her mood instantly light up. Sometimes he would just shamelessly flirt with her not caring about his juniors giggling or his boss's angry glare on him, sometimes just a smile or a glance and yes sometimes a very formal tone a very formal conversation. Irrespective of what he did, she always felt so happy just seeing him in front of her eyes. If this wasn't love, she didn't know what was.
She finally got done with her work for the day. Sitting down on her chair, she got busy scrolling instagram. "He loves surprising me" Said a story of her friend with a picture of a cute teddy bear and a chocolate. She smiled to herself remembering how stupid abhijeet finds all of this and calls it just a showoff.
"Date night" Said another story.She sighed thinking wow I don't even remember the last time Abhijeet took me out on a date .
can we just for once be a normal couple? Is that too much to ask? She thought to herself. Just then her phone rang and her face lit up. No points for guessing who it was. Before even she could say hello he started,
"suno...abhi tak lab mein hi ho kya? Wo ek chhota sample hai abhi lab mein bhijwau toh chalega? can you manage? jyada time nahi lagega" He said
Although a little disappointed, she said "Haan lab mein hi hun bhijwa do"
"Kya hua? you are sounding very tired. All ok?" He said. Quite concerned
"Yeah I am ok. Wo aaj sir nahi hai na toh saara kaam mujhe hi karna pad gaya isliye shayad"
"Oh haan! shit how can I forget...chalo rehnedo fir kal hi check kar lena ab ghar jao aaram karo"
"Arey nahi thik hai bhijwa do kar leti hoon check no problem"
After a little pause he said, "Achcha thik hai fir bhijwata hoon"
After exactly 20 mins door of the lab opened and the face she wanted all day walked in. He surely looked a little tired but still his face still had the charm that makes her go crazy.
"Hello tarikaji! such a pleasant sight entering the lab and not finding your boss. Waah" said a very happy looking abhijeet.
She just smiled shaking her head.
"Tum khud hi aa gaye sample leke? Mujhe laga bhijwa rahe ho kisi ke haath" She said although she was glad he came.
"Arre aise kaise" He said handing her the sample "The ultra genius pyaar ke dushman Dr. salunkhe is not in the city aur mein tumse na miloon? I wouldn't miss this opportunity for the world"
"Tum bhi na...ek hi din ke liye gaye hai itna khush mat ho. kal aane wale hai" She said knowing it would kill his excitement.But she enjoyed watching that as well.
"Which is exactly the reason why you should hurry up. Sample ko yaha kal subah tak chill karnedo aur ab tum thodi der mere saath chill karo. Dinner to kiya nahi hoga... maine bhi nahi kiya hai and I am very hungry aur badi mushkil se time nikala hai I swear" He said almost in one go.
She just looked at him or should I say adored him with a smile on her face. She went near him looking right in his eyes. wrapped her hand around his neck and hugged him closing her eyes.
Abhijeet was kinda surprised with her move as she would never do this in her workplace but he still obliged hugging her back. After some time, they broke the hug. His hands still on her waist and her hands still on wrapped around his neck.
"Yaar tum jab mujhe time nahi hota hai tab hi mood mein hoti ho...not fair tarika ji! " He said complaining like a child
"Arey! Ab jab mere ultra genius "pyaar ke dushman" boss is not in the city...yeh karna to banta hai na" She said with a naughty smile.
"Oh ho. Good answer very good answer I like it." He said moving close to her.
"Ab late nahi ho raha?" She said
"Arre yaar! You can be such a turn off sometimes tarika! " He said with a frown. But she was right he really had to get back to work ASAP.
"Thik hai lets put this on hold then " He said almost unwillingly.
"Alright then lets go I am starving" she said dragging him out of the lab.
After dinner he had to leave urgently. She got home again started scrolling through her instagram again. All those stories now started seeming stupid showoff to her too. Because she had realised that they can't be a normal couple. They are better than normal and its just the way it was always gonna be and well, they love it.
She went to sleep sending him a good night message with a kiss emoji which, she was sure he is not going to see until morning. But doing this just gave her a chance to wake up to his message and she loved it. It was their "normal" and it was beautiful.
