CHAPTER FIVE : The storm and mist's comfort to the sky.

Tsuna was thankful for his mother that she accepted Fran and Rasiel to their house, loving them as if they are her own and giving them the care they have lacked of. He was thankful, really. However, he knew that it was only for a limited amount of time and soon, his mother will treat them as just a child living in their house. Tsuna didn't want that to happen soon -- he didn't want to see the how devastated the two are going to them once that happen.

He didn't want them to feel what he felt.

Don't get him wrong, his mother is a sweet woman. Nice and kind, someone who is part of the light in the world. But, just because she part of the light side of the world -- it doesn't mean she is all good.

Tsuna was four when realized something odd about his mother.

He was young and naive so he decided to climb the tree on their yard because a cat somehow got stuck. As he was about to reach to the cat, he fell along with cat. He freaking fell from the tree, thank goodness he is alive, and it took him hours to wake up. When he woke up, it was already night time -- god, he thought his mother is worried sick but he was wrong. Tsuna went inside their house, noticing his mother is in the kitchen and make his way to her. To his surprise, she never took note of his scratches nor dirty clothes -- she just told him to eat with a smile and left him alone in the kitchen afterwards.

That was the first time he realized something was off and then he started to recalled all the certain events that was similar to the that accident. He didn't know what to feel.

Soon, it happened again and again and again until he couldn't take it anymore. Tsuna couldn't hate her, he couldn't -- his father isn't present in his life and that man is useless. Besides, how can hate the only person who took care of him. No matter how many times he tried to make his mother do something -- she never budge. She always stayed at her routine (Tsuna observed her for a month to come up with that conclusion).

He didn't know what to do with her and so he tried to understand her. He really tried to do so because he loved her to just give up that easily.

However, he is a mere four years old and he have his limits. There was a fine line for him and he was pushed.

Again, it happened again. He was five when it happened, his mother forgot about him and lehaa him in the mall. He didn't cry -- he couldn't really cry because he all he felt was disappointment (he met Kyoya that day but that is a story for another time). To add salt to his wound, it was Christmas time too and even if they didn't really celebrate that -- he was, at first, glad that his mother took him out. When New Year came, he couldn't look at his mother the same like before ever again.

It was then he started to get really unfamiliar to his own mother and started to go on his own.

"Tsu-nii?" Tsuna hummed while reading his book. Fran along with Rasiel is at his bedroom, hanging out as usual. "We were wondering," Fran started quite a bit hesitant from speaking as he eyed Rasiel for help. "About, Kaa-san, she's acting a bit...off."

Tsuna closed his book and looked at his two brothers with a bitter smile on his face. "You both noticed that, huh." Fran tilted his head and Rasiel purse his lips in a tin line. "Something is wrong with Kaa-san, yes. I realized that when I was four and I thought, maybe, she wouldn't do the same thing she did to me to you guys but I was wrong." Tsuna let out an empty laugh.

"Before you both arrived here, Kaa-san is always boring. She always did the same thing again and again then she frequently forget about me too." Tsuna clenched his fist tightly. "I thought that I can help her but I can't. I always told her that she should forget about Iemitsu back then -- Guess what? She didn't hear me. She never heard me and she never look at me. I am just an object for her to watch." He forced a smile to his brothers. "Sorry, I should have said this before but you guys looked so happy, I can't bring myself to take that away from you two."

Fran and Rasiel was speechless.

"Kyoya knows this. Shoichi, Hana and Kyoko too. To think that I tried to hide this from you two."

"You did that for us?" Rasiel asked, stunned.

"Who else would I do this for. Kaa-san wasn't even acting as my mother. You guys are practically my family."

Fran pondered for a minute. "She is better than mine but I can't take the fact that she hurt you mentally."

"I haven't mention this before vocally but I think it is also because of Iemitsu that she acts like this. She always wait for that man even when I told her to stop." Tsuna shook his head in disbelief. "As much as I feel bad to her, I can't take away the facts that I was close to dying when I was a child. It's a good thing I am psychically and mentally capable now." He stated.

"Ushesheshe, you have us now."

"Yeah, Fake Prince-nii is right."

"You-"

"Don't worry, Tsu-nii. We won't leave you."

"I know." Tsuna smiled, genuinely thankful to the two.

"Ushesheshe, don't ignore the Prince."

CHAPTER SEVEN : New brothers, the cloud's responsibilities. Sun and Sky's friends -- coming through.

Mukuro twitched uncomfortably for the third time as he tried to step away from Kyoko's intense gaze to him. "You... have a weird hair." She told him and Mukuro eyed the girl with irritation. He didn't expect that girl was eyeing him so intensely because of his hair (and he is rather sensitive when it comes to his hair too). "No worries, it isn't that bad. Tsuna's hair is so untamed and Rasiel's hair is always messy." Kyoko mischievously grin at him. "You fit in just right."

That moment, Mukuro learned that he shouldn't judge Kyoko's innocent front. The girl is just like anyone in the group.

Like Mukuro, Ken wasn't having the greatest time too. Kensuke keep on staring at him and Ken couldn't really lash off to the kid out of respect and self-control. "Your name is Ken?" He nodded at that, he would do anything for the boy to stop on staring at him. "My name is Kensuke." Kensuke flashed him a boyish smile, "I think, we will get along very well."

Ken shudders and sighed in relief, Kensuke seems to be one of the sane ones in the group (he hope so).

"EXTREME! KEN, FIGHT ME TO THE EXTREME!"

"Ryohei, back off. I got him first."

"I will extremely not!"

Ken looked at the two older boys, horrified at the fact that Kensuke isn't sane at all and keep on rilling Ryohei up. He shouldn't have think that anyone is sane in the group. Soon, Ken would learn that he is one of the crazy ones too.

Unlike the his two companions, Chikusa was having a good time talking to Shoichi or in his case, listening to Shoichi's rants about their underground district. "So, I was thinking of having sensors to all of the entrance." Needless to say, Chikusa was feeling a bit dizzy the longer he listened to Shoichi.

Mukuro wouldn't admit it out loud but the bunch of kids who rescued them earned his respect and loyalty.

Yeah, he ain't going to leave them now.

Even if the group is bit crazy (who is he calling 'crazy', is part of them now), he won't ever leave them.

Also, isn't it surprising that he and Kyoya somehow gotten along? Yes? No?

Surprisingly, Ken had gotten close to both Kensuke and Ryohei. Shocking, yes. Apparently, their fights brought them closer than intended (Hana called all three of them 'idiotic monkeys' because of their occasional fights with each other, they aren't glad at all) and they started to train together too.

Kensuke was a bit sad that Ken preferred hand to hand combat than swords while Ryohei was overjoyed and enthusiastic that he have a new buddy.

It was a good thing all of them are have the same ages.

Chikusa wasn't the type to socialize, however Takeshi did it for him. (Shoichi is a different matter, the poor guy's stomach acted once again while he was talking to Chikusa about his latest project). Takeshi, to say least, was awed at Chikusa's skills in yoyo and asked (read: persuaded) him to teach him -- in return, Takeshi would teach Chikusa baseball.

It was a disaster. (Takeshi throw the yoyo to long while it was connected to his finger, he got a bunch of scratches and wounds. Tsuna scolded them for that). The two learned that they would should stay in their perspective talents. (Chikusa was good in pitching the ball but it hit his head and passed out. After he woke up, Tsuna was not happy at all and, boy, he was scary as he scolded them again).

Kyoya wouldn't accepted the herbivores if aren't for the fact they are skilled. He facepalm when he felt like he is babysitting a bunch of crazy people; it doesn't help that he is somewhat crazy too.

As much as Mukuro seems mature, the guy likes teasing others. But, good for Mukuro, Kyoya found him tolerable and have a silent agreement that they will protect the group.

It wasn't mentioned before but Kyoya acted as the proper adult figure in the group. He is the oldest after all. (Rasiel and Mukuro, being the second oldest, aren't the type to keep the group calm. Tsuna and Shoichi wasn't either as Kyoko and Hana too. Kyoya isn't going to touch on to Ryohei, nope he won't -- the ten years old would get them into trouble more than he like it or not. Kensuke seems sane and grounded but the male is as enthusiastic as Ryohei. Chikusa and Tetsuya are too quiet and likes to watch as the chaos unfold while Ken is somewhat like Ryohei but hotheaded. Fran? No, just no -- he won't ever dare to think about it. Poor Kyoya, dealing with untamed pack like him).

Oh, the underground district is done.

Shoichi grinned widely at the computer screen. "Finally done!" Tsuna cheer next to him, laying his head on the red haired's shoulder. "When are guys coming here? We need to make you guys officially part of us rather than unofficially." Shoichi nodded excitedly besides Tsuna, his glass crooked while his eyes shine brightly.

"Spanner is planning on going here in Italy so we can go to Japan together by his Mosca."

"Isn't that untested yet." Tsuna frowned.

"I already fix everything so it will be fine, Tsuna."

"Both of you need to be careful though." Shoichi pursed.

"We know that. Hayato and I might take a few months to get there though."

"Just be careful." Tsuna and Shoichi said in sync.

Months later.

"Oya? You really like taking strays, do you Tsuna?"

"Hello, Gokudera Hayato."

"Spanner."

"Little animals."

"Kyoya! Don't you remember them? They're the unofficial members of Atrocious Justice."

"Kufufufu."

"They're official now though."

Hibari Kyoya have enough and loose free at that moment. No one was safe from the skylark's irritation to Shoichi and Tsuna.
