Thank you for the wonderful responses to this story thus far. I have been having a lot of fun thinking of various scenarios for this story, and while some don't make the cut for the final inclusions, it has made the current shelter in place aspect of life a lot more bearable. I hope that you all enjoy this new chapter. I decided to bring in Hodgins some more in this chapter to see how he is doing surviving on a small, cramped, miserable emergency shelter with Billy. Naturally, Booth is going to be prominent in this chapter. Gregg

Day One Concluded

Booth breathed a sigh of relief when the kids went to bed. Those two had been looking at him like he was some sort of serial killer or something. All he did was read a sports magazine! Granted, he had it hidden within the textbook on defleshing techniques he was supposed to be reading but come on! There was only so much of that disgusting stuff a guy could take without wanting a little diversion! Naturally his Bones in training, Christine, had come up to him with a question and saw the magazine. Instead of giving Daddy a pass, she had instantly let Bones know what was happening and he'd had to endure a lengthy lecture on the importance of setting a good example for the kids and also the need to further his intellectual pursuits. Obviously, sports didn't cut the mustard on that one!

The day hadn't bee a total bust, though. He'd had a good laugh at all the text messages that Hodgins had sent him begging him to send some agents over to arrest Billy and put him in a psych ward for isolation. Apparently, Billy was really ramping up the psychological warfare on Hodgins and wasn't too happy with the accommodations. Hodgins wasn't too happy with the accommodations, either, but Angela ruled the roost in that home, so he was outvoted every time. The man was so whipped it wasn't even funny!

"I should send you to have your isolation with Hodgins and his Father-in-Law," Bones said as she entered the room and sat down across from him.

"Now, Bones, that kind of talk is unnecessary," Booth instantly said. There was no way that he was going to spend two weeks in a 12x8 foot emergency shelter with Hodgins and Billy! Especially seeing as there was no TV, no internet, and they were stuck eating MRE's! Of course, the sweet deal on MRE's that Hodgins had gotten, which he'd bragged about for the longest time, had not let the whipped conspiracy nut in on the detail that they were all liver and onions as the main course! Billy, apparently, wasn't a fan of liver and onions. Booth had to agree.

"You are setting a bad example for our children by attempting to use subterfuge to avoid your lessons," she told him, offering him her best professorial glare.

Booth noticed the glare and his libido ignited. Junior and the Boys had always enjoyed "Professor Bones" as a fantasy, and here was the perfect opportunity to enjoy the more appealing side to being in quarantine. He moved close and gave Bones his normal "How about we move this to the bedroom" look.

Bones was no fool. She knew exactly what Booth was angling for. Now was not the time, though. "Not during quarantine, Booth," she told him firmly.

Booth looked at her in shock. "What?" he squawked. Two weeks without sex? Now that was too much to ask!

"We are in a medical quarantine, Booth, with a possibly highly infectious disease," she told him. "I will not add to the possibility of either of us infecting the other and possibly passing it on to our children. Social distancing even in the bedroom is a must."

Booth knew that was so much BS, but he was powerless to argue with Bones on a science issue. He'd lose every time, no matter how whacked her pronouncement was. He was dead certain she was punishing him for misbehaving during the lessons and setting a bad example for Christine and Hank. He resolved to do some serious damage to Hacker when this nightmare was over with.

Meanwhile, Hodgins and Billy were finishing choking down their third meal of liver and onion MRE's. Hodgins was sure that some new body art was in his future given all the glares Billy was giving him during the meals that day. What he couldn't figure out, though, was what Angie was thinking when she had some hazmat suited muscle-bound freaks grab him and Billy and escort them to the Emergency Shelter. Even he was willing to admit that he had done a rather pathetic job of creating this line of last defense. He only hoped that he could convince Angie the next day that the Man Cave was perfectly fine for their confinement. He looked over at the Army surplus metal bunk beds with the rather thin mattresses and swore that if he didn't get COVID-19 that he would sick Billy on Hacker and have the sadistic nutbar go to town on him.

A/N: Another short chapter to wind up the first day. I am already working on the start of day two and hope to have it posted sometime tomorrow. I hope everyone is safe and well. Gregg.
