Chapter Four: Memories

Hey guys, sorry for vanishing for so long, and thank all of you that reviewed this story. I just got really distracted and temporarily forgot about this story. But I'm back!

Charlie POV

DIO's face was grim as he recounted his tale, paying very close attention to the story of the boy who lost his mother to his alcoholic father, and suffered until he went to the Joestar Manor.

She patiently waits and listens to the entire story, even the final embrace of Jonathan Joestar to the boy in his final moments, and pales when the boy took Jonathan's cooling corpse.

She finally interrupted him. "Why did the boy have to take Jonathan's body?" She asked with curiosity in her eyes.

DIO's voice is grim and monotone. "Because he didn't want to die."

Charlie shys back, a little saddened. "O-oh. Okay, please go on."

DIO nods solemnly, continuing on with his tale of Stands and Reaching Heaven.

THIS IS A LINE BREAK, PLEASE IGNORE AND CONTINUE ON.

DIO POV

After he finishes recounting his tale, he can tell there are questions Charlie wishes to ask, which she does so immediately.

"What was the boy's name? How did he get the Stand Arrow? Who was Enrico Pucci? Why did he want to reach Heaven?"

Her excited questions never seem to stop, at least until he raises a hand for her to stop.

He spoke. "He got the Stand Arrow through pure luck. Enrico Pucci was one of the few he called friends. He wanted to reach Heaven because of his mother's last words to him. And the boy's name….. was Dio Brando."

Charlie gasps, hiding her face with her hands. "I'm so sorry. I made you relive all those terrible memories!"

He waves her off. "It's fine Charlie. They were old memories."

Charlie looks confused and bashful. If he was being honest, it was a little cute.

"B-but Jonathan said that Dio was a brother in all but blood for him"

He gives a smile. So JoJo still cared for him, despite what he did in life.

"JoJo truly loved me as a brother. However I didn't care, and tried to ruin his life."

Charlie looks sad. Really, she looks like she's never heard a sad story.

She gives him a frown. But it's completely overwritten by how adorable she looks.

"But Erina had nothing but hate for Dio. I mean, you. She was Jonathan's wife, didn't he tell her about how good you were?"

He let out a laugh. "Erina never liked me. Never since I stole her first kiss from JoJo."

Charlie looks aghast at that, which only makes him laugh harder. If this was how she reacted to the lesser of his sins, he couldn't wait to tell her about the amount of murders he committed!

He gives her a grin. This would be very interesting.
