"No, Potter, I will not go on a date with you. And no, I will not go to the mid-year party as your date."

"Please, Lily-flower?"

"No."

This was something one would normally hear at this time of year; the middle of the year party Sirius Black always threw from 7 to 11 PM the night of the middlemost Saturday of the year neared, and James Potter always tried to get Lily Evans to be his date. However, that was not the case in their last year at Hogwarts, as James had finally given up on Lily. He had asked his sister, Maria, to accompany him to the party, as she had had no plans for that night anyway.

The party was in full swing when the Potters arrived at the Room of Requirement, and James dragged Maria over to his friends, plus Lily and Marlene. The group of five stood by the melted ice cream fountain, cones and cups in hand as they collected some of the melted goodness. The light reflected off the crystals embedded in the fountain and other furniture, creating rainbows that bounced throughout the room.

Approaching the five seventh year students, Maria stole glances around the room, plotting places to plant her pranks. After all, it wasn't just James that had a mischievous streak, though no one knew about Marie's mischievous side.

As soon as Maria could without it seeming like she was up to something or rude, she slipped away. Moving around the room, she pulled little pieces of her final prank out of the folds of her dress and planted them in strategic points of the walls and floor. Knowing how sharp the Marauders always were about trying to catch 'The Prank Queen' – a nickname made up for the elusive prankster by the group of four – Maria made sure she was far away from all elements of her prank before hitting the button.

Glue was poured out of buckets and onto the four Marauders, catching Lily and Marlene in the crossfire. The Marauders ran around the room, trying to find the source of this prank. When each Marauder was in a corner, Maria tapped her wand against the button in her pocket, causing glitter to cascade out of little slots in the corners and cover the four boys, while Lily and Marlene were spared.

"That had to have been you guys. I mean, who else could it have been?"

"I don't know, Lily, but it wasn't us. Why would we prank ourselves? Maybe the Prank Queen?" James was stressing like crazy, trying to convince Lily that the Marauders hadn't set the prank up.

"I'm sorry you and Marlene were caught in the crossfire, Lily. I only meant to get the Marauders." Maria interrupted as she made her way to the Great Hall. Hold on a second 'I?' There was no way Maria could be the Prank Queen, could there?

Thinking back, Maria was always present just before the pranks went off, and none of the pranks could have been set up more than ten minutes before they went off – the Marauders were sure of that. Could she be? All the clues pointed straight at her.

"Oh, yeah, James, good job on the investigations into trying to discover who I was. I mean, you were getting close to discovering my identity. But, I was always one step ahead."

A shit-eating smirk made its way onto Maria's face, and James couldn't help but laugh. "I thought you were a perfect well behaved student."

"Well behaved women seldom make history. And I want to make history."
