A/N: As we approach the final battle with Sasuke and Naruto, I've already started planning how to integrate Boruto and Naruto: The Last into this story. So, don't worry! We still have a long way to go and this story ain't ending any time soon!

A/N 2: Leave a heart and review! Or else.

Another time-space opened up; a rush of green bubbling liquid flooded out.

"A sea of acid!" Tsunade said, shocked.

"I wonder where'd you find a dimension with a sea of acid?" Rin asked.

"You okay?" Obito asked, watching Sakura throw her flak vest off, tearing off a sleeve where the acid had briefly brushed off on her.

"I'm fine, this isn't too bad."

"You're a medic ninja, right?" Obito panted, "I can wait until you heal yourself. That place wasn't the right one, either. We'll try the next after we rest—,"

Sakura slipped behind him, "Don't you worry about me, I don't want to waste this chance that Naruto gave us!"

"Why won't you treat your wounds?"

"There's a limit to our chakra, right? C'mon, let's go."

"Stubborn girl." Tsunade laughed.

"Wonder where she gets that from…" Jiraiya scoffed.

"Sensei, I wouldn't encourage saying that—." Minato started as he watched Jiraiya get put into a chokehold by Tsunade.

"You wanna see stubborn!?" Tsunade tightened her grip, a sinister grin forming on her face, "Let's see how stubborn I am when you're turning purple!"

Obito looked back for a moment, "Wanna help him if he starts tripping." He laughed for a moment.

"Okay, let's do this."

"Yes!" The seals on Sakura's face reappeared and travelled down Obito's arms again.

A new rift opened up to a scorching desert.

"Sasuke!" Mikoto pointed to her son, trudging around the sandy dunes.

"Dude looks like he could use a water flask." Obito joked.

"Found him!"

"Sasuke, over here! Hurry!"

Both Sakura and Obito suddenly felt the strain of chakra exhaustion hit them both hard. The time-space portal closing rapidly as Sasuke ran towards them.

It closed before Sasuke could enter.

"No!" Fugaku grunted. "They were so close too."

"I'm pretty sure he made it in time," Minato said, "That ability from his left eye…"

Before Sakura could collapse from exhaustion, she was caught from behind by Sasuke.

"How?" Obito panted.

"It's one of my abilities, I can shift myself between spaces, though only a finite distance. But thanks to that, I made it here."

Kaguya flew through the air, destroying clones left and right.

"The clones are just being burned through at some rapid speeds." Kushina whispered.

"Which one is the real body?"

"That one." Naruto pointed, "I'm using a clone with truth seeker orbs to try and confuse Kaguya."

Just as Sasuke and the others reappeared at the snowy dimension, the original Naruto was stabbed with the murderous bone ash.

"Nothing to worry about now." Kaguya smirked.

But Naruto exploded into a puff of smoke, the truth seeker orbs flying about randomly.

"Way to give us a fright!" Obito laughed.

"Sasuke!" Naruto floated towards them, "Have you properly thanked Sakura and Obito?!"

Sasuke looked away for a moment, a ghost of a blush could be seen, "Focus on the enemy."

"Naruto, you were always unexpectedly cunning."

Kushina nudged Mikoto, "Looks like you've found your future daughter-in law, eh?"

"Oh, stop it you!" Mikoto giggled.

"She's a strong woman, trained personally by one of the three sanin. She is more than fit to carry the Uchiha name." Fugaku nodded.

In an instant, they were all transported to a new dimension, gravity became much stronger as Naruto's clones fell to the ground, vanishing.

"I can't… levitate."

"The terrain digs into their bodies." Hiruzen frowned.

"A heavy gravity plane this time, except… it seems as though Kaguya is affected as well."

Kaguya brought her arms forwards facing Naruto and Sasuke, the murderous bone ash quivering out.

"Dodge em', Sasuke!" Naruto shifted and tried to move out of its path.

"Damn it!" Sasuke's body shook powerfully as he tried to fight against the strong pull of the ground, "My left eye hasn't recharged yet!"

Barely dodging, the rod of ash flew overhead and landed on the ground heavily.

"Her aim was off because of the gravity." Fugaku said. "It's all over for the next shot."

"I will adjust now." Kaguya shivered, "I won't miss again."

"Woah, woah…" Obito looked on as his and Kakashi's chakra leaked out and started drifting towards Naruto.

"I've never seen two chakras synchronizing before."

Both Obito's and Kakashi's chakra latched onto Naruto, the screen changing to show Obito and Kakashi running towards Naruto and Sasuke.

"No…" Minato clenched his fists, "Don't tell me you're about to do what I think you're about to do."

"You're both self-sacrificial idiots!" Rin cried, wiping her tears.

"Rin…" Kakashi said.

'There's still something I can do…' Kakashi thought as he ran.

'I can at least be a shield!'

'Please make it in time!' Kakashi and Obito both reached out their hands.

A hand grabbed onto Kakashi's and Obito's.

"That's!" Obito gasped, "Rin?!"

An image of Rin pulling a younger Kakashi and Obito was flashed for a brief moment, before it flashed back to Kakashi and Obito standing in front of Sasuke and Naruto.

'Thank you, Rin.' Kakashi looked at the rod of ash flying towards his chest. 'Obito and I will be joining you shortly, we can catch up then, all three of us together once more.'

Minato frowned.

Rin couldn't stop her tears as she watched.

Obito smiled as he looked towards the rod flying towards Kakashi. 'Rin… this time, let's spend some time, alone, just you and me.'

The road flying at Kakashi spun and whirled, spiraling out of existence, 'Kakashi would just be in the way, I'll leave him here.'

The rod slammed into Obito's midriff while Kakashi's vanished.

Rin openly cried, wailing out. Her cries echoing in the now much quieter room.

"Obito… you…" Kakashi looked at him, mouth wide.

Obito wiped his eyes as he jerked a thumbs-up, eyes not leaving the screen.

"Obito! You sacrificed yourself for me again?!"

"Kakashi, you stay here a little while longer, don't you rush to follow us!" Obito smirked.

"Wh-why?! I thought we'd both resolved to…"

"Your power is still needed here! Why'd you use it to save useless, powerless me?!" Kakashi shouted.

"Looks like Kaguya is about to leave." Minato sighed.

"Naruto, Sasuke and… Sakura. This is a crucial time for them." Obito told Kakashi, "As someone propping up the new generation, it's too soon for you to die."

Obito's body started to crumble as he shivered.

Naruto tapped a hand on his back, trying desperately to heal him with the sage's chakra.

"It's totally useless, Naruto." Black Zetsu laughed, "He's a goner. He'll rot away like trash and die."

"Why do you sympathize with him?" Black Zetsu asked, "He originally was your enemy, remember?"

"Well… then again, he's a traitor to us too, a loser on all fronts." Laughing in Kaguya's sleeve, "Hated by both ally and foe, no family or friends to mourn for him. He's all alone, with no legacy. He lost those precious to him, couldn't even fulfill his dreams… got taken advantage off, and was just circling around in the end, a fool full of nothing but mistakes."

"And his death will be equally crude." Black Zetsu laughed.

"How dare he…" Minato shook in his chair.

"He's right." Obito sighed, "It's an end worthy of the criminal that I am."

"Obito…" Kakashi looked at his teammate.

"Damn it! Damn it!" Naruto grunted.

"Thank you, Naruto." Obito laughed, "After fighting you, I feel like I've woken up."

"It was as if, when I looked at you, I saw my past self. And regretted the current me. However, more than that, it also made me happy, when I was a kid, I'd imagine myself as hokage so often."

Obito laughed, "I think you brought it back, that indescribable feeling of exhilaration and uncertainty. Imagining the village, comrades… and me as hokage, even after all that's happened. Just the thought of it seems to fill up the hole in my heart."

"Is it because I'm dying? I find myself rambling all of a sudden."

Tear streaks could be seen running down Kakashi's mask.

Rin leaning on Kakashi's shoulders as her tears wet his sleeves, her hand reaching over and laying atop Obito's.

"I don't want you to die…" she cried.

"I'm not going anywhere." Obito smiled, tears also glazing his eyes.

Minato watched Obito on screen, wishing that he could have done something to prevent all this from happening. He made a promise to himself to change everything with knowledge of the future now in his hands.

"A lot more suffering likely awaits you, Naruto… However, just keep forging on ahead like always, without changing." Obito huffed, "You once told me, that never going back on your word, is your shinobi way… right?"

"Yeah…" Naruto bit his lip.

"Naruto…" Obito looked back, grinning.

"You better become hokage." Before he finally crumbled to ashes.

"Yeah!"

Rin burst into tears.

Kushina and Minato hugged each other.

Fugaku looked away from the screen for a moment, though Obito wasn't his son, he was still and Uchiha, and he was the son of a friend.

"That pesky traitor vermin finally died!" Black Zetsu laughed, "Though as insects go, his persistence was like a roach's!"

"Don't laugh at Obito!" Naruto glared, "As someone who tried to become hokage…"

"Obito is…" Naruto appeared before Kaguya and sliced her arm that was hiding Black Zetsu, off. "Nothing but awesome!"

"Thanks, Naruto." Obito sniffed.

"You got it!"

The screen fizzled as Kakashi's chakra melded back to him, but Obito's stayed latched on.

"Looks like there's something else you have to do, dead last." Kakashi smirked.

In a white plain, Rin and Obito sat down. "Rin!"

"Rin laughed, "I've been waiting."

"I see… sorry it took so long."

"Seems you got lose along the way." Rin asked.

"Yeah… lots happened before I could come here." Obito frowned heavily. "Rin, I… didn't keep my promise to you…"

"No, you did!" Rin laughed, "You kept working really hard at it, the whole time!"

"I've been watching you all along." She held his hand as they both stood, "Let's go!"

Obito rubbed his eyes, laughing softly. But Obito tugged his hand away, "Rin, do you mind waiting just a little longer?"

"Obito?"

"Only a little bit, before we move on, I'd like to make one more detour along the way."

Rin sighed exasperatedly, "Who do you want to save this time?"

"Duh, Kakashi!" Obito beamed.

"Kakashi."

Obito pulled his hand away from Rin's, "I've finally gotten some alone time with you, Rin. It'll be wasted if he ends up coming here right away. Besides, it's kinda annoying seeing him all stiff and useless. His name may mean scarecrow, but that doesn't mean… he should be acting like one!"

"Despite all that's happened, you two are still close, huh?" Minato laughed.

"S-sensei! N-no way, we're oil and water!" Obito huffed, a blush painting his face.

"Chakra is an energy that connects two worlds," Obito's eyes spun with his Sharingan. "I'm gonna go see Kakashi."

"I'll be waiting here." Rin smiled.

"Sorry, Rin. I promise I'll be right back."

Obito's chakra grabbed onto Kakashi and seeped into him. Now, Kakashi and Obito were in the white plains.

"Obito?!"

"Before I get going to the next world, I thought I'd emphasize to you not to come running after me too quickly." Obito laughed, "plus, it's gonna keep bothering me if this eye I gave you to celebrate your promotion to Jounin, came back to me."

"Then again, it ain't like I'll be springing back to life anymore. Oh, but more importantly, you know how I told Naruto to go become the hokage, I meant to say as the seventh."

"You ought to be the sixth hokage, Kakashi."

"I know you haven't taken office yet, but I'm giving you your gift now. It has a fixed time limit, but it ain't useless. Do you get what I'm saying? I mean, you haven't forgotten your famous moniker that's known throughout the lands, have you?"

"The name, Kakashi of the Sharingan!"

"Dope…" Obito held out a fist.

Kakashi looked on for a moment, before he sighed, bumping a fist with Obito. "Idiot..."

As Kaguya was bombarded by attacks from Naruto and Sasuke, her form started to bulge and become unstable.

A large rabbit with the faces of the tailed beasts appeared in the sky, frightening and looming.

"Another… humongous thing? But what is it? A fox, tanuki, or a rabbit?"

"Doesn't matter, now we can get near it, and seal it more easily!"

"Sakura!" Tsunade watched as the pinkette weaved and dodged the deadly hands that sprouted from the ten tails.

"Don't let that white hand grab you, it'll absorb you in an instant!" Tsunade shouted towards Sakura from her seat.

"Sasuke! Use your ocular powers to help Sakura!" Naruto yelled.

Chakra condensed in Sasuke's eyes, but before he could cast his technique, Sakura was grabbed by a hand from the Susano'o.

"Yes! Sasuke… Huh?!"

"A Susano'o?! Whose?!" Sasuke gasped.

A light blue Susano'o floated in the sky, "Kakashi sensei?!" Sakura shouted.

"Gather round." Kakashi floated near Sasuke and Naruto, Sakura in tow. "I've got a plan. This will be our very last mission as the former cell number seven!"

"We're going to save the world!"

Kaguya put her hands to her sides, "I am immortal, and if either of you die, you cannot seal me away. Now then… which shall it be?"

Multiple ash rods hit Kakashi's Susano'o, some penetrating through and hit Kakashi.

"No!" Obito grit his teeth.

"Wait! Look!" Rin pointed.

The rod passed straight through Kakashi as he barreled forwards with his attacks, "It really is a nifty ability, Obito. To be able to pass through things, and now I can resurrect this move too."

Kakashi leapt forwards and slashed Kaguy's right arm with his lightning blade.

Naruto and Sasuke were at her right and left, arms outstretched to touch her and seal her away.

"Go!" Jiraiya cheered.

"So close!" Mikoto sat up straighter.

She started to float up in an attempt to get away. Kakashi threw Sakura directly down towards Kaguya.

"Don't forget about me! We're both women…" Sakura yelled. Slamming her fist into Kaguya's head, sending her crashing down into Naruto and Sasuke's path. "So, don't you mock me!"

As Kakashi watched from within his Susano'o, he gave a big grin, "Yup, what a nice picture. I really… love you guys right now!"

"Cute!" Kushina cooed.

"Looks like someone's fallen in love." Obito chuckled.

"S-shut up." Kakashi blushed.

"Do it!"

"Oh yeah!"

"All right!"

As Naruto and Sasuke both put their hands on Kaguya, the eye in the middle of her head started to eclipse and close.

"Again…" Kaguya whispered, "I, the originator of chakra, defeated by pieces of my own chakra."

"Why?!"

As the debris started rising into the air to create a meteor to seal Kaguya away, the tailed beasts that were sealed away were snapped away and formed as a whole on the ground.

The four tails, Son Gokuu cheered, "We finally made it out! Kurama! Your host really gets it done!"

Kurama snorted as he smirked.

As the dimension started to crumble, the metoer had finished forming itself. A large circule crater had been formed on the ground.

"Woah… it's still growing bigger; it looks like our moon." Obito wowed.

"Sealing complete!" Rin cheered and whooped.

"Sealing complete! Now it's happily ever after!" Naruto gave a thumbs-up.

"Yay—," Sakura smiled, "Wait a sec! What about us?! How're we supposed to get home from here?!"

"D'oh!" Naruto yelled in horror.

"A tad bit dumb, as usual." Jiraiya mumbled.

The screen changed to show the hokages and the sage preparing a large summoning technique.

In an instant, all the tailed beasts along with team seven reappeared back on the battlefield.

"Welcome home, Naruto." Minato greeted.

"That's right, you're back in your world." Hagoromo laughed, "Via a summoning technique that the prior kages I had gathered performed."

"Naruto, Sasuke, and the rest of you…" Hogoromo grinned, "Excellent work saving the world."
