A/N: Yes, I've seen the reviews, some of you don't like the Naruto/Hinata pairing, but I love it so much! It's way too cute, haha. Anyways, I know I said that I wanted to play Valorant and I did! I finished some of the battle-pass and I'll get back to writing, so here I am.
A/N 2: Like and review, and you'll have passed today's vibe check.
.
"Revolution?!" Fugaku choked, "Son's gone mad."
"He's been mad." Obito joked.
Sasuke put his palms together and activated his technique.
"Planetary Construction!" Large chunks of the ground tore off and started encasing the tailed beasts, creating nine large circular formations in the sky, much like a miniature moon.
"I swear to rescue y'all! Just hang in there a little while, okay?!"
"I've become quite familiar with the abilities and use of the Rinnegan during this battle, and all those who were in my way are gone." Sasuke glared, "Except for you, Naruto."
"Well, us blondes are hard to kill."
"Heh," Kushina laughed, "This time it'll be different, old sage."
"All sibling squabbling, is gonna end here and now!" Naruto glared back.
"Let the tailed beasts go!" Rin whined, "Naruto's already friends with them, they won't be evil anymore!"
"The Uchiha were always so problematic, maybe that's why we started a coup." Obito joked, earning a bop on the head by Tsunade.
"Read the room, kid."
Obito looked at Fugaku, who was clearly uncomfortable with the mention of the Uchiha's betrayal of the Leaf. "S-sorry."
'Naruto… you're going to die. Out of necessity."
"If what the sage said is true, there's no need to use the tailed beasts' power inside of you to undo the infinite Tsukuyomi. I can just use the tailed beasts that I've trapped. So, I'll let them live until then."
"That's the one thing that never made sense, I remember the tailed beasts will come back to life in a few hundred years, so what difference does that make?" Naruto shook his head.
"I won't let you do any harm to them; you know that right?!"
"Kakashi!" Rin whispered as she watched him falter to the ground, the exhaustion from the prolonged use of the Sharingan catching up to him.
Tsunade's heart clenched as she watched Sakura cry.
"I… I know in my heart that there's nothing I can do, even though I love you! Even though I care so much about you, Sasuke!" Sakura wailed, "I can't get close to you, or exchange blows with you, I can only whine, beg and cry like this again. It's totally pitiful, isn't it!?"
"But… But Sasuke! If there's even a little corner of your heart that thinks about me, please don't leave again! If we stick together, I know it can be… like the old times again, someday—,"
"He stopped! Maybe he's—." Rin's smile left her face instantly.
"You really do make me sick." Sasuke smirked, running his hand through her heart.
Tsunade broke the arm rest on her chair, flinging it to the wall. It shattered into hundreds of splinters, "That's it!"
She pulled back her fist and aimed it at Fugaku's head, "W-wait! Lady Tsunade!"
Naruto just hid behind his chair, "It was an illu—,"
"Tsunade!" Jiraiya grabbed her from behind, "Calm down!"
"I'll show you calm!"
"Tsunade!" Hiruzen tapped his pipe on the table, "That's enough, take a look at the screen."
Tsunade begrudgingly looked at the screen, seeing Sakura flop to the ground unconscious, but otherwise unharmed.
"I-it was an illusion…"
She looked back at Fugaku, mumbling a quick "Sorry."
"It's quite alright…"
The ANBU pulled her a chair cautiously as she settled down once more.
"You didn't need to put Sakura under an illusion!" Naruto argued.
"She would've chased after us otherwise. And gotten in the way."
Kakashi looked at Sakura before turning to Sasuke, "Sakura… Sakura just wanted to save you. She always did."
"You want me to play at romance?" Sasuke scoffed, "I have no reason to like her, nor does she have any reason to like me."
"Man, your son is a hopeless romantic." Kushina told Mikoto, who nodded her head in agreement.
"He didn't inherit any of my finesse." Mikoto sighed.
"Finesse? Excuse me?"
"Oh please, didn't you swoon the moment you saw me?"
Fugaku was about to argue but swallowed his words, "H-humph."
"You only need a reason to hate a person!" Kakashi yelled, "And Sakura's not trying or wanting to make you hers! She only wants to save you! She who came close to killing once, she feels for and spills tears over you, even now."
"Because she suffers from loving you!"
Sasuke looked forward, clenching his jaw, "Perhaps… those are the ties… to a failed past."
"I once swore," Naruto started, "To Sakura, a long time ago, that I'd bring Sasuke back. Kakashi sensei! You know my ninja way already, right? I'm gonna go!"
Kakashi closed his eyes, "Yeah… we're counting on you."
"The Valley of the End, what a ironic place for a final battle." Tsunade laughed.
"This place, I should've figured. Brings back memories, huh Sasuke?" Naruto grinned, "We fought each other here long ago, didn't we?"
"It'll be the same this time, you're going to lose to me here, again."
"You won't be hitting me with that same punch as last time! I'm not gonna let you get away with whatever you want! I won't let you become hokage either! You don't seem to understand what it means to be hokage!"
"I told you that to me," Sasuke started, "Being hokage means revolution, it's totally different than what you think."
Naruto laughed, "Let me tell you what your big bro said to me! That it's not the one who becomes hokage who gets acknowledged by all, but that it's the one acknowledged by all who becomes hokage!"
Sasuke scoffed, "I learned not from Itachi's words, but from his life itself. You and I produced different answers. Let me clarify this before we battle. I'll teach you exactly what being hokage… means to me."
"This is really heavy." Minato wiped his perspiration away.
"Both so young, yet to carry such a heavy burden."
Fugaku spoke up, "Itachi was trying to sustain the village's peace by himself, that's what Sasuke came to understand. Suffering bitter experiences and living in the darkness as a criminal and traitor against Konoha and everywhere."
"Itachi, my son, was a shinobi who took on all hatred and protected the Land of Fire and Konoha from the shadows…" Fugaku paused, "I feel… that he was the true hokage."
Hiruzen nodded, "Actually, I agree with you Fugaku."
"Sensei?" Jiraiya asked for clarification.
"In my opinion, it's not the one acknowledged by all, but the one who accepts all the hatred that is worthy of that title."
"What hokage is to Sasuke, is someone who sears away the darkness of all five villages and with only his flame, keeps living on by eating the ashes." Fugaku spoke quietly.
"Beginning with cutting you down. Yours will be the last blood I shed, in the memory of my late brother." Sasuke held out a hand.
"I won't let you! I learned everything I know from the people of the past! Especially about how to figure out what to do after making a mistake!"
"The screen's changing again." Kakashi pointed out.
The screen showed two perspectives side by side, the sage talking to both Naruto and Sasuke.
"Why Naruto?" Hagoromo asked.
"Cause… we're pretty good friends." Naruto smiled.
"Because to me… he is still my closest friend."
"Then why are you killing your closest friend?!" Kushina whined.
"Unbelievable!" She pouted.
Naruto and Sasuke leapt off the rock statues, clashing midair.
A large fireball was sent flying towards Naruto, who blocked it with a chakra construct. Sasuke appeared behind Naruto and swiped him to the ground with his Chidori.
"Holy crap!" Obito looked in surprise as a perfect Susano'o crashed through the waterfall, flying straight towards Naruto.
The Susano'o hit fist-for-fist with Naruto's nine tail's construct, coming to a standstill atop the water.
"What's wrong? You're just going to play defense?" Sasuke asked. "If you keep stalling, you'll die eventually."
Naruto hesitated for a moment, "I don't want to kill you."
"You're trying to be alone again… I ain't letting you!" The nine tails constructs flew towards Sasuke, "We both know what that's like! That's why I can't let you… go there intentionally!"
Chidori and a tailed beast bomb barreled into one another, a large explosion destroying the statues of Madara and Hashirama.
"We're banking the world's fate on hoping your son manages to take down one brooding ninja." Tsunade laughed bitterly.
"Well, Naruto did say Sasuke did become good in the end." Minato tried to be optimistic.
"Even if he did become good, I doubt the village will overlook the fact that he became a rouge ninja and tried to attack the village."
Fugaku frowned.
"That's not even close to good enough to kill me." Sasuke sneered.
"I told you! I'm not trying to kill you!"
Sasuke had enough, forming a single hand-sign, the orbs of rock containing the tailed beasts flew behind his Susano'o.
"I'm the strongest in this world now. And this will be my first step into the shadows."
"Those are some massive amounts of chakra…" Jiraiya looked the screen.
"He's absorbing all the chakra of the tailed beasts. That's insane." Kakashi shook his head.
"This is bad, he's merging all the disseminated chakra into one. And unbelievably well too, almost unrivaled. It's like the Six Paths geezer's level. Well, except that he's doing the reverse." Kurama spoke, "Since there's no Gedo statue here, he's using the Susano'o as the receiving vessel. Something incredible is going to emerge! Don't let your guard drop, Naruto!"
"The entire form of the Susano'o changed…" Rin cupped her cheek
"It's like I can feel the power surging from the screen." Kakashi said, "I was a little doubtful when he called himself the strongest on Earth, but now I think there was truth to it."
"That technique again?" Sasuke mocked, watching Naruto form his signature hand-seal, "That technique of yours is a symbol of your weakness."
"It's a technique that covers up your loneliness."
In an instant, the Susano'o was in front of Naruto, punching him to the ground, destroying the landscape in the process.
"When the two of you fight, I bless the cartographers that have to redraw hundreds of maps."
As the audience watched battle unfold, they were shocked at the ferocity and scale of attacks. "One attack could easily wipe out a small town, maybe even half a village."
"Doesn't it feel tiring? To use such a large amount of chakra at once." Hiruzen asked.
"Well, we both have pretty large reserves of chakra, so when we use something like a tailed beast bomb or Susano'o, it's like using a bucket to empty out a well. Slow but eventually it'll run dry." Naruto clarified.
"You only hold a little piece of each tailed beast's chakra; you can't win against me now."
Sasuke readied an arrow that buzzed around the air, it started sparkling wildly the more Sasuke drew it back.
"How'd you gain so much natural energy so quickly?" Jiraiya asked.
"I had a Kurama clone below me amass the nature energy for me, and when it was done, I simply undid the clone and all the chakra returned to me at once."
"Amazing!" Jiriaya clapped, "That's actually incredible, I never would've thought of something like this. I'm definitely using this if I fight against Pain again."
Sasuke laughed, "Finally resolved to kill me, huh?"
"We've taken a lot of responsibilities upon our shoulders, but you see, I… I wanna fight and win against you fair and square!"
Sasuke stopped for just the briefest of moments, before letting go of the taut arrow, sending it whizzing to Naruto at great speeds.
"But not against the current you!" Naruto threw both large Rasenshurikens at Sasuke, "You know that already too, don't ya, Sasuke?!"
'This... fight with you right now will be my last.'
"Sasuke's thoughts." Mikoto whispered, watching her son fight his closer friend, "Oh Sasuke."
'Indra's Arrow. Currently the most powerful move in my arsenal. So just, be! Just be gone already!'
The sky parted with the insane amount of energy. Lightning split the ground below, as the seas became choppy and wild, the earth itself split at the seams. Even where Kakashi and Sakura was, the shockwave was obvious.
"Who won?!" Kushina asked.
"Look! Over there!" Obito pointed to two figures falling from the sky.
"It was a stalemate." Tsunade said.
Sasuke and Naruto both landed on the ground, in a crumpled heap.
"God, you both look like a mess." Kushina said as she held Naruto's hand tighter.
"Damn, you're still—?"
Naruto was about to create more clones but was attacked by Sasuke's Amaterasu. Barely blocked by the nine tails chakra just forming above his skin.
Sasuke held his eye painfully as the chakra exhaustion took hold, looking up, he saw Naruto and his clones jumping in for an attack, three kicks and one solid punch connected. Sending Sasuke tumbling back to the ground.
"It's basically a dogfight right now." Minato nodded.
"They're both so exhausted that even walking is difficult. I'm amazed that they can even run and move so coordinately." Hiruzen chuckled, mirthlessly.
Every time Naruto landed a punch on Sasuke, Mikoto cringed.
And every time Sasuke landed a kick on Naruto, Kushina would look away, wincing.
"Hours have passed already, and you both are still fighting?" Obito asked, "That's…"
"Look at the both of them," Tsunade scoffed, "Out of breath, wounds all over, the wind could blow them over and the battle would end."
The nine tails chakra that Kurama's half had made was absorbed through Sasuke's hand.
"This is one of the Rinnegan's abilities," Sasuke laughed as he absorbed Naruto's nine tails chakra, "As someone who possesses the eyes of the Uchiha, my victory is inevitable."
"Well, Madara lost, didn't he? And he had the eyes of the Uchiha." Kakashi said quietly.
"Farewell… my one and only… friend!" Sasuke lunged for the kill but was stopped by a fierce uppercut from Naruto.
"Over and over… and over… Just give up and let me cut you down!" Sasuke screamed in frustration.
"Sorry, no can do… cause I'm your one and only friend." Naruto huffed.
The leaf fell and touched the water, and that was when Sasuke leapt down with his Amaterasu infused Chidori and Naruto jumped to meet him with his Rasengan.
A large dome of chakra formed, eating everything in its way.
"W-who won?" Minato asked, looking up at the moon in the sky, free from the infinite Tsukuyomi.
