8 months. It had taken 8 months for his plan to be ready. 246 days before he could do what he wanted. Too long before he could fix everything.

The portal was fully functional but since he didn't know how it worked he hadn't powered it up yet. It sits on its raised platform disconnected but constantly on his mind.

He jumps over the railing to land on the main floor. All around him, machines work to make his nano-bots, ear pods, and his transparent mind control devices. So much had changed in technology and it only made his job easier. With his own brand of wireless earpieces, he could communicate with his team without rising suspicion. The translucent chips had to be his best work by far since they replaced the headbands.

He picks one up as he walks by the container housing a few of them. It was a small black chip that could detect color, with that function and the fact it was flat as paper it could become completely invisible on any surface. Once placed into someone's temple, it would stick to the skin using small spider-like fibers, then their brain could be accessed. He drops it into his pocket as he continues his walk. Hiro rethinks his previous sentence, he couldn't see memories, or access the brain directly. It was more like a subtle mind control device. Slightly shifting the wearers thinking and providing subconscious decisions that made the person want to do them or think it was a good idea.

Gogo rolls up to him on her blades, "Just checked the counter on the chips. You have about 1,350 of them at the moment. Are you sure you need that many?"

He glances over at her, the mag blades were smaller now and could be worn with any shoes she wanted. Mostly because they were now attached to a band around her ankles. The fact the disks changed color was purely for looks.

After giving his team the chips, he had encouraged them to continue their work at the college. They had excelled since then, combining his smarts with their own, the three of them had easily topped their class in development and ideas, Fred was still his normal mascot self. He was glad to see them come back everyday with something new.

He nods, "That's more than enough, I don't want to make too many more so have the conveyer finish what's left and then shut it off. Then I need the chips put in a safe place."

She marks something down on her clip-board, "Cool. Hey I have class in an hour. I'll call you when I'm done." She waits for him to agree before dashing back the way he came.

That was the other thing, after chipping his friends, he easily convinced them that his plan was a good one. They still didn't agree with his revenge idea but he hadn't tried to change that.

He makes it to the stairs and decides to skip them, instead having the nano-bots lift him to the next level. Honey waves from the computers.

"Hey Hiro, just finished my project wanna see?"

The teen feels a smile pull his face, same old Honey, "You know I do."

She pulls him over to her work station and lifts a cloth with a flourish, "Ta-da! It's my new bag!"

He takes it in with a little confusion, it looked a lot like her other bag but this one is attached to a belt. Next to it sits a wrist band with a matching keyboard on it, "What is it?"

She picks up the wrist band and puts it on, "This does the same thing as the bag, so when I put in a formula the bag will still work!" She then straps on the belt so the bag is resting on her lower back, "I changed the bag because there were a few times during our fight I almost lost it from over my shoulder. Now, I can't lose it."

He leans forward and looks at the keypad, "Wow, that's a pretty good job."

She hops in excitement, "Right?! I even made a quick programming screen." She swipes her finger over the keypad pulling up a new set of buttons, "I can use this screen to make some simple chemical compounds like water, or that sticky goo I made!"

Hiro chuckles, "That's great. I still want to know why you were in the robotics lab when clearly you're a chemist."

She starts taking off her gear, "Because, even though I'm a chemist I don't have as easy access to some of the supplies I needed. For example, where else aside from a highly advanced and prestigious robotics lab am I going to find 400 pounds of Tungsten Carbide that I can completely destroy with no consequences? Aside from maybe a delivery fee."

He tries to think about that before shrugging, "Good question but if you could, would you transfer to a chemical lab?"

She shakes her head, "Nope! I like my school, aside from my friends, I do still have some robotics skills even if they aren't as good as anyone else's. Take my bag for example." She lays a hand on it, "I know you helped me make it but all of the mechanics inside were designed by me."

Hiro lifts his head at the memory, "True, I just proofed your stuff."

Honey lifts her hands in an almost shrug motion, "Robotics fascinated me and gives me a broader perspective of science. Even though I'm a chemist at heart."

The teen gives an understanding hum, "Whatever works for you. Quick question though, aside from Gogo, do any of you have classes today?"

She shakes her head, hand moving to her chin, "I don't think so. I do have an appointment with a doctor though, and Wasabi said something about dinner with his family?" She perks up, "Oh, Fred's father came back into town, so he isn't here."

Hiro nods, "Cool. I'm going to head home with you then."

Honey nods, "Alright, let me grab my stuff." She moves back to the computers with a hop in her step, "Would you cover my project again?"

With the cloth covering her project once more, they make their way to the tunnels. That had been a nightmare to try and fix. It had taken all of them to make the tunnels safe. Honey had spent her time making cement orbs, Gogo ran them back and forth to make sure they both weren't in the tunnels, Baymax and Fred dried out the dirt as well as the concrete, Wasabi was needed for getting rid of debris, and Hiro measured out and made sure there was enough space as well as adding support where it was needed.

Hiro uses his nano-bots to get down into the tunnel, bringing Honey along with him. The tunnel was big enough for Baymax to walk along it without struggle and that fact made it wildly easier to use his tech to travel down it. He knew for a fact it was safe to travel, the less time they spent underground the better.

Once they make it to the exit, he checks the cameras on his wrist screen before hauling himself out of the sewer drain, "Welp, I'll see you later Honey."

She smiles from where she stands, "Yup! See you later Hiro!" Then runs off in the direction of her house.

Hiro decides to take the shortcut, running through back alleys, and across busy streets with little care of who yells at him. Once he made it back he could work on his newest project.

He sneaks past his aunts employees and up the stairs, jumping over his cat who is asleep in the walkway. Letting his feet guide him toward the mostly finished robot sitting on his desk.

It's job was complicated but with everything he had learned from the nano-bots and the chip he used for Baymax it should work. Pulling out the chip he took from the lab and putting it into a small compartment with a few others.

"Ok. Test number 22." He takes a step back and smiles at the cameras in its eyes.

He thinks of the actions it takes to get off of the desk from where the robot is. It was about his height and looked like a generic robot. If he didn't know better he would call it an Android.

With a few stumbling movements, it jumps off of the desk to stand in front of him. Wobbling slightly when Hiro's mind gets distracted from his current task.

"Ooh, going to need to fix that." He walks over to his desk and start writing down his notes, "I'll have to give you some more background functions. Possibly use idle animations like they do in video games to make you look more real. I should probably give you some kind of disguise too, or maybe make you look more human? No, that's creepy."

He hears a small thump and groaning metal, followed quickly by Mochi hissing. He turns his head in time to see the cat running away, the robot a heap on the floor.

"Cat must have tackled you."he walks over and helps it stand, trying to focus on the actions he wanted it to do while doing different ones. It's… not very successful, "Ok. New plan. I'm making those things now."

With a huff he takes out the control chip, letting the robot rest against the closest wall while he walks to his computer. Thoughts whirling as he waits for it to start. These robots, well his one for now, had to be able to replace his friends. He couldn't put their lives at risk on the missions he had planned, he refused to let someone else die. The current one was supposed to be his, a robot that could take his place on the battlefield and actually be useful. Then he could send his friends back to school full time, maybe let them work for him as a part time job, he could pay them with the use of his lab and any materials they needed. He could even help them.

Hiro pushes down his excitement, for now it was only day dreaming until he could get these robots working. And work they will.
