Nice Sunday everybody! Thank you for all the love shown to this little story.
Without further ado, here's the bonus chapter of graduation day…
Last time we read each other:
…After a 10 second stare stand down between the three amigas and generalissimo Hastings, Spencer decided to continue with a menacing glare to the girls.
The fact that toby stood behind her with his arms crossed as if to intimidate them into behaving practically made the whole thing hilarious. Officer Toby did not scare anyone at all. Still, they knew that the sooner Spencer finished with her guidelines the sooner they could began to party.
After all, it´s not like the guidelines were going to be needed anyway. They were SENIORS, they knew how to behave.
They were going to be fine…
Enjoy the new chapter:
The music was a mix between classic and old school which made the fact that she was willingly embarrassing herself easier. Honestly, she couldn't care less.
She was having fun.
Her girlfriend egging her on, she continued to dance her ass off. Her dance moves as silly and crazy as possible, all with the goal to beat her opponent in a dance battle that somehow, she ended locked in.
And of course, who could be the person who dared her in the first place?
Hanna
The blonde was currently trying to make the "Nene" as graceful as a baby goat jumping down a hill. There are some dance moves that little blonde skinny chicks shouldn't even try to do. But then again, Paige also managed to trash the twerking by looking like a headless chicken, so… no judgement there.
When she looked to the side, a smiling and clapping Emily made her heart burst. Honestly, she would look like a fool anytime just to see that smile. With a growing grin she moved to her girlfriend in order to get a quick kiss before full on entering "running man (woman?)" mode.
If only the night could have ended that way…
While attempting to give justice to the "renegade" (honestly, who dedicated themselves to give the most pretentious names to the worst dance moves ever?) She heard a tumbling and rumbling beside her.
She felt dread at the now familiar sound whenever their group was in an outing, the sound of disturbance (The beauty of having weird friends). With an exaggerated eye roll to Emily she slowly turned to face Hanna, the most certain source of the disturbance.
Only, it was not Hanna…
…"Hastings?!"
A tangled mess with the infamous Hastings Scowl met her dropped jaw.
"Honestly Spence, keep it together will ya? It's not even been an hour since we got here".
Said Hanna while casually walking next to Paige, in her hands a pink margarita (Where the heck did she got one? Paige did not know, up until 1 minute ago, she was dancing with her).
Slurping her drink and without taking her eyes of the now struggling to stand Spencer, the blonde reached out to close Paige's jaw. Which brought Paige out of her shock.
A blushing and quite remorseful Spencer dedicated herself to dust her dress now that she was on her feet. Paige found it interesting that she kept glancing behind her shoulder nervously.
"Oh! Hey guys, didn't see you there".
"More like you didn't see the effin table over there" claimed an amused Hanna while she stirred her drink with her finger.
"Well, well, well, if isn't Ms. Break the rules and I'll break you. What has you in such state Spence?" asked a smirking Emily while she walked to stand beside Paige.
A distant crash at the other end of the living room distracted everybody. When they returned their eyes to Spencer they were met with sheepish smile.
"No time to explain, you guys should run" and with a shrug of her shoulders started to sprint.
A confused Paige watch her go (damn, she was fast). "What the hell?" she started to turn to her girlfriend in order to get a little bit of clarity. However, she was surprised to find herself alone, Emily and Hanna catching up to Spencer in a hurry.
"Babe, no time for questions. When Spencer tells you to run, you RUN!" shouted a freaked-out Emily while watching her over her shoulder.
"Em! You couldn`t wait for me?!" So much for romance, her girlfriend was lucky she had a cute butt and that running behind her was an enjoyable sight. Unfortunately, it was also a distracting sight, so much so, that she didn't notice her surroundings and didn't even registered the tackle until her face met the floor hard.
The impact didn't knock her out, but she did lose herself in her thoughts for a minute or two. "Why did she always had to be topped by everyone BUT Emily".
When she got her wits back, she let out a loud groan and took time to register her situation. She definitely had a girl straddling her butt and pulling her hair with her hands.
She could hear Emily's enraged yells at the distance and Hanna`s "You could totally take her Foxy Paigey".
With a tangible struggle, she fought the pain in order to get the human weight off her back and returned her pleasantries with a resounding punch (seriously, why did she always ended up fighting strangers?). The only verbal response she could give was a tired "Shut up Han!".
Her current pain in the butt (Not Hanna, or Spencer but the girl currently trying to beat her) quickly adopted a fight stand in front of her. Why did she always end up in these situations?
"Listen here, is this really necessary? I don't even know who you are". Somehow that made female rocky even angrier, with an eye roll she answered, "We had math together".
Well ok then, "I'm sorry, did my mathematical incompetence somehow offended you? Or why on earth are you doing this?".
Rocky´s stance softened after that, but only a little. "My problem is not with you but with that strong-head friend of yours: Hastings". "Look I get it; she can be a little bit much sometimes…"
A strong and offended "Hey" could be heard from the crowd.
Paige rolled her eyes at Spencer's rebuttal but continued "… but she is awesome once you look past that. What could Hasting have done to you?".
The response made Paige and everyone around her drop their jaws to the beer stained floor.
- "I´m sorry, she what?"-
- "She broke the rules of debate and used false facts to win our round"-. Said female rocky with a deadpanned expression as if normal teenagers would somehow find themselves in midst of that situation… when they are at a high school party. Honestly, Paige wanted to punch both Spencer and female rocky for making such a fuss about academic "faux pas".
The – "FAKE NEWS! I didn't use false facts"- that sounded at the very back (suspiciously behind a sheepish Toby) made that punching impulse way worse.
Both Emily and Hanna, now behind an incredulous Paige, rolled their eyes and in unison said - "Shut Up Spence"-.
-" YEAH YOU DID HASTINGS, Even the moderator said so" claimed a red-faced lady rocky.
When she looked around, she realized that maybe admitting to a full-blown punching fight due to a debate was probably not the best social move to make… Specially at a grad party. So, she cleared her throat and ended with a "but I'm willing to look past it of course, because we were just having fun".
And all would have ended right there if not for the bad timing sense of loyalty that Paige had.
- "Might as well, I sincerely doubt that Spence would use false facts. The girl is a walking encyclopedia for God's Sake"- said a smirking Paige, Loyalty compelling her to defend her crazy friends no matter what. – "Thanks McCullers… I think"- responded a not-sure Spencer while Paige's opponent became angrier by the second.
Emily and Hanna were looking frantic to all participants of this crazy situation. Annoyed at Spencer, amused by Paige, and afraid of the increasing group of academics that rallied behind the female rocky.
After looking to the now large group of contenders, Paige stance wavered for a little bit. Her confidence however fueled her teasing stride and with a big intake of breath she continued…
- "In FACT, I know she would have trashed you if your fleeting, sensible brains were more open to new truths"-. Honestly, she had no idea what she was saying at this point, but she figured that the more she talked, the more confused they would be.
Emily and Hanna faced palmed while letting loud groans fly from their mouths. Paige didn't let that stop her. She was now on a role.
- "Science is often blocked by those who refused to accept other truths but their own. Come on people, let us accept a whole new world of theories. Don't be a modern Spanish inquisition"- preached Paige.
Spencer let out an incredulous "WOAH" while resurfacing from her hiding place (Toby).
- "Baaaaabeeee STOP"- pleaded Emily.
- "Such an idiot"- let out Hanna with a snort. – "Just punch her already"- continued the blonde while stirring yet another pink drink in her hand with bored posture.
- "Don't encourage her Han"- responded a frantic Emily.
– "Oh, I'm not talking to Paige, EM"- Corrected the blonde.
Paige turned to glare at the blonde (after all, she´s been in Spencer shoes and also have Paige save her from a beat down) but was surprised to find a shell shock Hanna point behind her.
When she turned her sight back, she met a well-placed punch (surprisingly strong from a member of the debate team).
While she recovered from the surprised attack, she failed to register her enraged girlfriend say "Oh, it's on" and Hanna tying her hair back while stretching her arms (even though, she practically asked for the punch seconds later). To the surprise of everybody Spencer joined them and together, as an apocalyptic trio, launched themselves to the unsuspecting academic group who were still laughing at the knocked-out Paige.
When Paige came to her senses, the first thing she registered was the – "Yo! I have an interesting new theory for you to hear!" – of Hanna.
With shock, she admired the crazy battle in front of her. Her amused smile fell when she saw female rocky slap her sexy (quite Amazonian within a fight) girlfriend. With a focused rage, she roller her sleeves and joined her friends. When Hanna saw her, she couldn't help to add…
- "Oh, this is going to be fun"-
Remember, violence is not the answer.
