Wranglers Of Chaos ch. 4: The Weight of the dead

As the group all sat around, Max and Kate where holding each other close and Victoria saw a side of her boyfriend she had never seen before, and that was beyond stressed. As they saw CJ muttering about the project he had been assigned and the fact that he couldn't get it right, Victoria looked at him before stealing a kiss and saying, her caring stunning most everyone in the room and hinting that her dating Jack had become a good thing,
"I will see if I can get Jefferson to grant you an extension as you had been showing an awful lot of mental issues honey" and all Jack would do was nod before he smiled and looked at the group in the room and began to sing
"Their the 189 in the service of heaven, gave their lives on the steps to heaven, thy will be done" and he looked over at Victoria, who was getting lost in the song, before CJ pulled out swords and armor. Watching as he set the equipment on the bed, the group all looked surprised as CJ set swords, armor and staffs down with the group all looking at them like they had never seen such a motley collection of arms and armor, CJ just smiled and said, a look on his face
"I made this all for Halloween and in case anyone wonders, the blades are real" and Kate was surprised as she noticed the armor all had a bright red cross emblazoned on it. As Kate looked at it, all the more important as they had heard of the attempt on the group in England, she was impressed that he had the ability to make the uniform of the knights templar. As the group from Hereford had suffered a few injured but fortunately none were killed, although the SAS weren't so lucky, the whole team was worrying that they would be next. As the group all saw the sun starting to set, Victoria started to prove that the time she was spending with CJ was paying off, Victoria asked, locking eyes with Kate,
"Do you need help getting dressed and if you are worried about yourself or us please don't be because all I have to do is make a call and we can be whisked away to a safe place" and they all seemed to doubt that as the terror cell could seemingly find them and as the room was overcome by a silence, almost as if they had accepted that they were going to die, the chirping of a cell phone split the air and max quickly looked like she was about to faint. Answering, his hand sitting on his .45 CJ whispered to himself as he listened
"Oh fuck, I guess my days of peace have just come to a crashing end" and as soon as he got off the phone CJ quickly reached down and ensured his ankle gun and knives and both waist guns were in place and ready to go. Quickly glancing at Victoria, CJ planted a kiss and said, voice full of concern,
"why don't you grab Taylor and Courtney and go visit your mother for a little while" and she started to say something until Chloe called her mom and said, voice as somber as her memories of going to San Francisco,
"Hey mom, its me and I was thinking why don't you and David take that trip to Italy you always wanted" and as soon as CJ held up a thumbs up, Chloe said, voice full of caring about David even,
"Mom a friend of mine said that he will pay for it all and please just go. You need to get out of the country for a few and it will do you some good to avoid work" and Joyce finally agreed and packed up as CJ used his contacts for the two to fly to Rome by private jet and Chloe just nodded as Joyce said they were heading to the airport. Having watched that all transpire, and Victoria packing up with Taylor and Courtney, CJ just gave her a long kiss before watching as her white charger made its way off the school grounds and would with luck be in the safety of san Francisco, California before dinner and he had to make his decent into madness.
Wandering back toward his dorm room, and running head long into mr. Jefferson, which really put him in a bad mood, CJ muttered
"Oh what the fuck do you want, asshole" and preceded to storm past with Mark giving him a death glare, all the while muttering that for his attitude that those close to him would pay. As Victoria started to move close to CJ his phone rang and as soon as he pulled it out he grinned before remarking
"Hey Jack, how is DC and I know being president is a bite in the ass and all but do you think you can send Junior out here on vacation? We have some issues that he and I need to discuss and I would rather not discuss over the phone" before shooting the shit and then hanging up with a promise to pick jack junior up in a few days' time from Seattle. Quickly hanging up, CJ switched to texting Junior filling him in on what happened to Kate and the theory that everyone had about Mark Jefferson. He could practically hear jacks blood boiling over the phone and as soon as CJ hit send his phone rang and it was junior on the phone. Sitting on his bed, CJ worked to calm junior down as he was planning on taking Melanie and a small team from the campus including Ding and Dom and eliminate Mark and the ones who had forced Kate onto the roof, of which a grudge was held against a few of the kids in attendance when Max talked Kate down.
Watching as Victoria and Kate chatted, a bit of tension still in the room, CJ turned the speaker phone on and said, voice dripping with contempt for all who he had to hunt
"If somebody has to die, just hand the man the money and I wont even blink an eye"
