Beth was running on fumes between the twins, getting her store open, Kenny and Rio she was dropping in bed like a rock and asleep before her brain can start over processing anything. She was thankful today was Saturday and prayed to whatever God that would listen it stayed calm and quiet today.

With tutoring starting back for the twins yesterday she had a bit more free time and decided to at least get her hair done she deserved that at best after the shit she's been dealing with. Pulling out of the parking lot of her apartment building and starting her journey she wondered if leaving Kenny at home alone was smart, he wasn't technically alone he had protective detail since coming here they all had.

She crossed her fingers and hoped he didn't burn the apartment down, she needed to kill Dean what had possessed her to have so many kids was beyond her. She adored them but she grimaced when she though about the teenage years ahead thank God Kenny was not a difficult child that might change though and boy was her karma that bad to have it happen 6 times over.

AT HOME:

Kenny always prided himself on being a smart kid, he spoke less and observed more so when his mom and Dean split it wasn't that big a deal he saw that coming from he came home early and caught his dad fucking Pat from his mom's school shit.

He always hated his Dad from he figured out how he treated his mom like she didn't have a brain when he was the one racking up debt. Now he's older and he spoke to his mom he understands a lot more and it hurt at first when he had to watch his brothers and sisters hurt when Dean decided he was done being a dad to them too.

So he stepped up helped more and complained less, he knew his mom was sad he was having to grow up faster than she wanted, but after he told her it didn't matter he was the man of the house and it was his job she backed off.

He was happy when he saw his mom with a guy he could tell they had a weird relationship but he was cool, he explained a math problem and helped his siblings so he was okay in his book. Then he disappeared and came back and mom said they were moving, then before you know it Isa and Alec came along. He was totally biased but they were his favourites they helped his mom get happy again so he was okay having another brother and sister.

While doing his homework he heard the doorbell and he looked up suspiciously Mr. Gustavo has explained about keeping the family safe had taught him how to shoot at 12 his mom didn't know that though. He walked to the door still to short to see through the peephole, his bodyguard Sal walked up behind him with his hand on his gun and checked the peephole.

He looked at Kenny and whispered "know any guys with an eagle neck tattoo?"

Kenny eyes went wide and he threw open the door to see Rio standing there the guy his mom used to hang out with and the twin's father.

"What's up man long time no see," Kenny stared at him for a beat longer before nodding to Sal and stepping aside to let him in. Kenny walked behind him and was a little shocked it was him after not seeing him for years he just shows up.

"Where have you been? Did you know mom had the twins? Why didn't you come look for us after? Your uncle said you were being a stuck up prick was he right? My mom missed you asshole!"

Kenny rattled off questions and watched as eagle tattoo man eyes went wide for a second

"Been busy, so you know is my uncle what else you know huh?"

Kenny's face looked like he sucked a lemon so he wasn't gonna answer his questions but wanted to question him bullshit.

"Bullshit Eagle you weren't busy you didn't want my mom or the twins or us."

Kenny whispered the last part feelings he'd pushed down finally coming through, the man sighed and rubbed his hands down his beard.

"It's complicated little man but trust me I'm handling it,"

Kenny shrugged "you said that years ago when I asked if you were going to be with us and you lied, my mom told me everything you know."

"Ya that right?" Kenny nodded

"You're a drug dealer, a killer your dangerous." Eagle sat up straighter when I said that

"And how you feel about it?" He asked

Kenny shrugged " familia por encima de todo" Eagle laughed and Kenny continued

"So Eagle you here to stay or passing through again?"

The laughing stopped "I'm here permanently as soon as I get to your mama, tough one to crack huh? Name's Rio or Chris kid."

"I like Eagle better, mom doesn't forgive easily so I hope you can work hard cause I'll shoot you myself off you leave again. Your uncle taught me how and I don't miss often not like mom did when she shot you."

Rio let out a low whistle at that grinning he definitely liked the Boland kids Kenny especially. Kenny watched him get up and walked over to him when they heard the door open and his mom yelling she's home.

"Stay sharp kid imma need you to look after them." With that he ruffled my hair and moved to the front door towards my mom's voice.

Back to Beth

Coming in from the salon the last thing I expected to see was Rio walking towards me and Kenny trailing behind him. I glared at him and he grinned walked towards me dropped a kiss on my lips and left throwing a talk later over his shoulder before sweeping out of my apartment.

I started at Kenny and he smiled "I always liked him for you mom, make him work for it though he's too confident." then walking back to his room. I looked to Sal who shrugged and followed Kenny I blinked owlishly I was gone for an hour at most.

"What the fuck is happening!" I shouted and heard Kenny's yelling swear jar from his room laughing.
