So I just watched all of degrassi junior high,, Degrassi high and schools out. I think they did Tessa I was watching an interview that left the abortion question open ended which made me believe that she never got it and that they should do a degrassi sequel to prove it. #teamtessa. Also I really didn't care for Caitlin and Joey but I do think Tessa and him were great. I don't have the entire story written out yet but I hope you enjoy.
Tessa couldn't do it. She tried to abort her and Joey's baby but when the doctor opened her up she screamed and clamped up.
Now she's looking at the mirror. Her beautiful blonde hair cut short and died black. Just like how she felt inside, dark. She contemplated about not going to the 1st day back from school cause He would be there but she had to.
With the new hair and clothing she hoped he wouldn't recognize her until this was all over. She stroked her stomach knowing that eventually she couldn't hide it instead she hoped to be able to finish her year at home like Spike had.
"Let's go." she quietly repeated to herself in the mirror before she had mustered up the strength to finally leave.
She had almost made it all the way to her locker without seeing Joey. Being back at Degrassi made her feel better, she knew where to hide if he did come near. She was almost lucky, but then we saw the fedora peaking from a locker not to distant to hers.
She turned and ran outside wanting to leave and go back home, she wanted to avoid him. She didn't want her anger to run through her. She didn't know what it would do. She only made it outside to take a few breaths before the baby decided the running was to much. She felt the dry-heave coming followed by the acid before she just reach the closest bathroom. In it she emptied her stomach of today's morning meal. She also made a mental note to herself, apparently the kid didn't like exercise.
She has just splashed water onto her face when she heard the familiar sound of the warning bell. She looked one more time in the mirror and repeated it to herself, "Let's go"
She made her way to the two empty chairs in Math. There was no hope, everyone had heard, she can hear their whispers to each other.
"I guess it's not Tessa the Tease anymore," one boy said to another
"I heard Caitlin caught them,"
"Joey's the man,"
The last one made her wince. Joey's the man, please; more like the pig. What else would someone call him, she thought has she sat down.
The final bell had wrung and there he stood at the door locking eyes with her. Fedora over his beautiful hair, the same hair she would run her hands through, the chest she would lay her head of after he left her beyond satisfied. The only man that can make her have contempt and still want him to want her. He made his way to the seat next to her and she silently cursed herself for not getting here sooner, even siting next to an ass that would try to hit on her would be better then this.
Her eyes never strayed from the chalk board but she can tell his glances at her. It made her blood boil, anger seeping through ever pore. She stroker her stomach hoping to calm her down. Thinking about Her growing child would usually calm her but not now, not when he was inches away from her.
The bell rang and she knew he would say something.
"Tessa," his voice sounded venerable to her ears like the day the took each others virginites, how it came off his lips when he came. "Can you please talk to me?" He was now standing up leaning over her his signature set looming over her giving her flash backs of summer.
She felt the bile in her stomach rise up again snapping her out of it, snapping the anger inside of her.
"No Joey, we can't talk." She thought she had thought in her head; "You used me, cause little Miss Perfect wouldn't put out. Well now I'm pregnant, you fucking asshole."
"Miss Campanelli, here now." Mr. Garcia yelled.
Oh no, she hadn't just thought those words she had actually said them. She looked around, everyone has heard. She can see on their faces, the whispers to one another, the giggles; her bile worse even more
But she didn't make it to Mr. Garcia's desk, the bile and the whispers were to much for her. She ran to the nearest trash can to empty it all out again. That's when she felt the familiar tug on her hair holding it back while she threw up over and over again. Has she finished one of his hand moved to her lower back rubbing it. She tried to fight back with tears running down her face but all she could do was cry. He pulled her in closer to his chest.
"I hate you, Joey." She manages to say between her sobs.
"I know."
