AN: When someone is addressing Percy by his title it will be Commander Percy/Perseus. Someone saying Supreme Commander Perseus kinda sounds weird and is a lot to type out.
KOA= Kingdom of Atlantis
EOO= Empire of Olympus
ROA= Republic of Athens
EOD= Empire of Darkness
(3rd POV)
Percy stood behind his desk at the military command center for all Atlantis military operations. As Supreme Commander of Atlantis' Military he was in charge of everything that went on. In terms of power it was the second most powerful position in the Kingdom, right behind his fathers' as King. He held more power than his slightly older brother Prince Triton. Perseus himself was a Prince of Atlantis and second in line to the throne of his father; however, his father, mother, siblings, and relatives were all immortal so ascending to the throne would take something drastic to happen. Not that it bothered him or anyone else in the kingdom as King Poseidon was the most beloved person to his citizens. At the moment Percy was doing large amounts of paperwork, his go ahead and signature were needed for operations and guidelines throughout the military. He also had to approach his Aunt Hestia about the captured spies, he needed to organize an unbiased trial and who better than Lady Justice of the Kingdom of Atlantis. The trials of Annabeth Chase and Thalia Grace would make galactic news since they were the first born daughters of of the leaders of Athens and Olympus. Everything had to be perfect to avoid a mistrial although with all the evidence found against them it would almost be impossible to deny guilt.
Percy was about to contact Lady Hestia about the trials when his assistant came into his office. Sir the ambassador of the Republic of Athens is here to see you. She said the meeting was of the utmost importance. Percy nodded for his assistant to show the ambassador in and the assistant quickly made to do so. The ambassador strode into the office confidently and stood in front of Percy's desk. Percy looked up from his paperwork and started to file it away after signing off on it, he handed it to his assistant who turned with it and left the office.
Percy motioned to one of the seats in front of his desk and the ambassador sat in one of them. Percy was the first to speak up, Ambassador Daedalus to what do I owe the pleasure of your company today?
I think we both know the reason of my visit today Commander Perseus. Nevertheless I am here about the imprisonment of one of our citizens, Annabeth Chase. The Republic of Athens respectfully asks for her immediate release into our custody. The ambassador replied.
And I think we both know that that's not possible anymore. I just signed off on the papers for a trial with Lady Hestia, Annabeth and Thalia are going to be charged with espionage against the Kingdom of Atlantis. I am to meet with Lady Hestia to discuss the punishment if convicted and the use of capital punishment. Percy trailed off after that.
Ambassador Daedalus visibly tensed after capital punishment was mentioned especially considering who the defendants were related to. You can't seriously recommend capital punishment. Athens won't stand for one of its citizens to executed by a foreign power, Olympus won't either. It could mean another galactic war is Atlantis really willing to go to war with Olympus and Athens?
Atlantis is already more than willing to go to war with anyone who threatens the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Atlantis. Our kingdom is no longer the weak and powerless kingdom from after the Titan War. We are stronger than ever and are more than willing to prove it on the field of battle to anyone who threatens us. The days of Atlantis being submissive to the other galactic powers are over and I would advise you and your government to take this under advisement. At this Percy had stood and was looking down at the Athenian ambassador.
Daedalus sat in his seat and didn't move, he just sat in his seat calmly and waited for Percy to return to his seat. Once he did was when the ambassador decided to respond to his outburst, The Republic of Athens has seen and knows very well of how strong your military has gotten Commander Perseus and we are not questioning it. All we are asking is that you please return one of our citizens to us.
Percy just sat back in his seat and replied straightforward to the ambassador, I'm sorry Ambassador Daedalus but it is out of my hands now, the only way that Annabeth Chase is going back to Athens is by being proven innocent in her trial by Lady Hestia or by receiving a Royal Pardon signed by the ENTIRE royal family. Not only would I have to sign it but also my father, mother, siblings, and lastly Lady Hestia. If that is all we have to discuss than the meeting is over, I have other things to do than to argue with you for the rest of the day.
The ambassador stood from his seat and nodded to Percy as he left from the office. After a couple minutes Percy left the office as well and headed to his meeting with Lady Hestia. It didn't take long for his transport to take him to her office, and even less time to meet with Hestia. In the end Percy recommended against capital punishment for the two spies and a trial date had been set, the prosecutor would be a aspiring politician and lawyer named Octavian. Percy couldn't really care less who was the prosecutor and left to go back to his office to go over the rest of his paperwork. He worked on paperwork for the rest of the day, after he was done he left to go to the palace to have dinner with his family.
When he arrived at the palace he went to his bedroom to change and get ready for dinner. The entire royal family would be at the dinner as the behest of his father as he said he had something important to say. Percy was the last one to enter the dining room as was usual when they all got together. Just like all the other times his family were just sitting around the dining room table talking while they were waiting. His father Poseidon sat at the head of the table with Triton to his right and Percy to his left. Percy had his sister, Estelle (Stella), next to him and his youngest sibling Tyson was sitting next to Triton. His mother, Queen Sally, was sitting at the other end of the table directly opposite of her husband. Food was served to the royal family and they ate in silence as was per usual. Only after desert was served was when Poseidon began to talk.
As you know I have gathered you all here as I have something important to tell you all. It concerns everyone here so please pay attention to what I have to say. I am sending Triton to the Empire of Darkness once more to meet with Emperor Hades about more trade and research agreements. Although this time I wish to send the 4th Fleet with him, I don't want any other disturbances to happen this time around. Poseidon paused and looked to Percy and Percy nodded his head in acknowledgement seeing this Poseidon continued.
I have also been approached by the ambassadors of both Olympus and Athens about the two spies that Percy caught. They both wish for the return of their citizens. I have decided to engage in negotiations with them both personally and will be travelling to Athens and Olympus with both Percy and Stella. During this time Sally will be in charge should anything arise while Tyson is to continue to assist Lord Hephaestus with his research. All was quiet around the dining table as the royal family thought this over, King Poseidon hardly ever left his own kingdom to meet with other galactic leaders. This only really happened when he went to meet with Emperor Hades to begin the negotiations between the two galactic powers. Percy's mind was going in overdrive about all the planning and security that would be needed for the trips. Sure the royal family always traveled with the royal guard except for Percy. I mean he was the head of the military and always surrounded by soldiers so he was never really alone.
I will begin preparations for the trips immediately father. The 4th Fleet is free and will accompany Triton on his journey to the Empire of Darkness; however I will have to spend some time to gather a fleet for us to travel to Athens and Olympus. While I assume the royal guard will accompany us I will also gather some of the Elites for additional security. Percy said to his father, his father nodding in acceptance.
After the dinner Percy went to his room to prepare for the upcoming trip that would leave as soon as possible. He would have to meet with the ambassadors of Olympus and Athens in the morning. He would also have to gather a fleet for the upcoming journey along with prepare a garrison of Elites to move with the army.
