The Chrimson Devil looked out over the ridge.
Miles away, clouds of dust, smoke, and ash were forming.
Sounds of distant explosions and waves of power were felt for miles as two of the strongest beings in existence fought for the fate of the world.
A hand landed on his shoulder, Sirzechs cast one glance, then turned back.
"I know how much you worry, the kid will be fine"
"You don't know that, Azazel" he brushed his hand off and fully turned to the Governor General. "He old us himself, the chances of him coming back alive are low"
"That idiot better not die, I'm not helping out when Serafall goes on a rampage"
"H-he wont die...right?"
"Don't worry, he'll come back to us, i'll kill him if he doesn't"
The ground suddenly rumbled violently, everyone who was standing was knocked to the ground.
Sirzechs turned back to the fighting and saw the largest mushroom cloud he's ever seen, then something flew out of it.
It was heading right for them!
"Everyone move!"
Everyone who could move grabbed the ones who couldn't and dragged them away just as whatever it was landed.
It tumbled and slid to a stop, when the dust cleared, several hearts sunk.
"*cough cough* ok...that one hurt…"
A boy covered with half red and half green hair, ripped clothes, and a smirk tried to sit up.
"Shiro!"
Rias ran to him, she was the only one who wasn't injured.
"Are you ok!?"
"Yeah *cough* I'm fine, princess. Just a bit sore"
"Baka…"
Azazel got beside him next, his face dropped quickly.
"Kid...you're dying…"
"what!?"
"*cough* yeah...I know"
"WHERE IS HE!?"
The boy shakily got to his feet.
"Get behind me"
"Kid, you can't fight anymore"
"I can, just get everyone out of here"
"Shi-"
"Go! Get out of here!"
Sirzechs gathered everyone together and teleported them out just as something hit the boy, his cry of pain was the last thing they all heard.

"AGH!"
'Well, we had a good run, right partner?'
[yes, you will definitely be remembered as my best host]
'Damn right'
Shiro got up again, refusing to die on the ground.
"I'll give you one thing, boy" Trihexa emerged from the smoke, her body just as bad as his, though she wasn't quite dying. "You had me worried for a while, I thought you might actually kill me"
"I'm definitely going to die here, but i'm taking you with me"
'Ready, Ddraig?'
[no]
'Good, neither am I'
"What could you possibly do at this point, anything could kill you"
"I've been saving one last trick up my sleeve, see this?"
The beast's eyes widened, then reached up to her head to confirm that one of her horns were gone.
"Tch, what do you plan to do with that?"
"Something that might not even work, but i'm going to try"
The Boosted Gear formed on his arm once more, he took the sharp horn, and stabbed it into the gem.
A bright light blinded them both, the pain would have caused him to black out if he wanst numb to it.
[WELSH DRAGON: APOCALYPSE OVERDRIVE]
"Hmm hm hm hm, ha ha ha ha!"
The light died down, the Balance Breaker Scale Male was back, but it was a mix of green, orange, and black.
"What is this!?"
"Something I never thought would work, i'm going to die in exactly ten minutes, but that gives me more than enough time to make sure I outlive you"

"Rias, have you ever known Shiro to let anything stop him from returning to you?"
"..."
"I bet you all the money in the world that he will come back to you"
"He-"
A magic circle opened, the topic of their discussion stepped out.
"...Shiro?"
"Heh...hey princess, I did it"
He then fell forward, collapsing into her arms.
"Shiro!"
"I'm dying, and it cant be stopped this time"
"N-no! There has to be something!"
"Heh heh, not this time, Ddraig is the only thing keeping me alive right now, and his power is not infinite"
"You cant just die here!"
"I'm sorry, but make sure you tell Ajuka-*cough*-tell Ajuka and Azazel they were wrong"
"I-mhh!?"
She was pulled into a kiss, it held for a minute.
She could feel him go limp in her arms…..thats it.
"He's gone…"
