Part One

Axel stood beside the bed as Roxas lay upon it, his breathing having become slow and was less shaky than it had been.

Shortly after arriving, Ienzo was able to give Roxas a Hi-Potion via injection. The room was mostly silent as Ienzo went over his notes.

Xion was at Roxas's side side, gently holding his hand as she tried her best to comfort him. Sora and the others waited anxiously for any possible answer that could help Roxas.

Ienzo soon turned to look at them.

"Well?" said Sora, becoming impatient.

"You are aware of the use of replicas, correct?"

They nodded before he continued.

"Well, you see, a replica is a synthetic copy of another and will take on the physical form of-"

"We KNOW what Replicas are," Axel snapped bitterly. "Just tell us what's WRONG with him!"

Ienzo recoiled a little but spoke in the same calm manner.

"When we had begun reconstructing Roxas using one of the replicas, he had vanished from the laboratory before we could properly stabilize him."

"So.. What does that mean for him?" asked Sora.

Ienzo hesitated but was soon interrupted as Roxas let out a groan, causing everyone to look at him as he began to stir.

"Roxas!"

"Xion?"

Xion smiled and pulled him into a hug. After a few moments she pulled away.

"Are you okay? We were WORRIED!"

Roxas slowly began to sit up, and though his head still hurt, it had now become more of a dull ache.

"I.. I-I think so.."

"You gave us quite a SCARE, Roxas." Axel smiled, breathing a sigh of relief.

"Uh, sorry.. I.. I don't know what came over me.." Roxas muttered.

Ienzo made his way over to the bed.

"You are not well, Roxas.." Ienzo frowned. "When you had vanished, your replica body had yet to be stabilized."

"But.. I'm okay now right?"

"We have not yet completed the Replica's functions.. There is a possibility that if these functions go unchecked.."

As Ienzo trailed off, Axel was the first to work out the implications.

"Don't you dare even THINK that!" he shouted. "Roxas is NOT gonna-.."

He stopped, unwilling to finish his thought.

"Look, Roxas is fine now.. It has NOTHING to do with your scientific bull****!"

"Axel, LANGUAGE!" Isa scolded.

He went quiet as Axel shot him a hard look.

"Axel, all I am saying is we need precautions to ensure Roxas-"

"Roxas is FINE." Axel said, the tone lowering to an almost threatening level. "He just had a sick day and he'll be FINE."

Before anyone could react, Axel helped Roxas stand up and led him out of the room. Sora hurried after them.

"Hey! WAIT!"

As Sora and the others left the room, Ienzo let a sigh as he looked over the notes of his research, telling him the results of the Replica not being stable would be undoubtedly fatal.

Axel was heading down the main hall dragging Roxas toward the exit.

"Axel, s-slow down," Roxas begged. "Where are we going?"

They had made it outside when Axel finally stopped and let go.

"Axel, what was THAT about?" asked Roxas confused.

Axel refused to look at him.

"It's not true.. It CAN'T be.."

"W-what's not true?"

Axel took a deep breath as he turned to look at him. He opened his mouth but stopped as Sora and the others soon joined them.

"Axel, what the heck was THAT about!?" asked Sora.

"I can't BELIEVE this!" Axel growled. "How could he even THINK that!?

"Axel, what're you-?"

"It's not TRUE!" Axel snapped, cutting Sora off.

"Axel.."

Axel spun to look at Roxas, his eyes blurring with unshed tears. He however blinked them away.

"I c-can't.." he choked out.

Roxas made his way toward Axel and hugged him tight, tears filling his eyes.

"It's.. O-okay.." he sniffed.

Axel took in a shaky breath as he soon returned the hug with a choked sob. Sora made his way closer, soon joining in the hug. Riku, Kairi, and Xion soon joined in while Isa hung back, unsure if he would be welcome in the union. However, Roxas took notice and smiled as he held out an arm to allow Isa to join in. Isa hesitated but soon made his way over and joined in the hug. After a few moments, they let go, leaving only Roxas and Axel.

"You're gonna be okay, Roxas.." Axel vowed, still hold Roxas tight.

"I know.." Roxas smiled, feeling tears slipping down his cheeks.

Axel soon pulled back.

"L-let's go," he said.

"Go where?" asked Sora.

Axel turned to look at him, his eyes still misty as he smiled.

"To make this the best week of Roxas's life."

With that said, the seven friends made their way through the city, intending to give Roxas the best time of his life.
