A/N: Hey, guys. In the previous chapter, Little Mac decided to undergo some special training to face Bald Bull in the rematch. Now that the special training has finished, let's see how the match will end.

Chapter 11: Rematch with the Bald Bull

After resting for a day, Little Mac was ready to face Bald Bull again. ''If you managed to defeat Great Tiger, then you can also win against Bald Bull. Use your agility to your advantage and everything will be fine. I believe in you, Mac, and I know you can do it.'' said Doc, encouraging him.

Full of determination, the boy went up to the ring, where he saw Bald Bull. ''Are you back to lose?'' asked the Turk.

''I'll show you who the loser is, Bald Bull. I spent a few days undergoing special training.'' Mac responded confidently.

''If what you say is true, then prove it! Show that you can take down a bull like me!'' replied Bald Bull.

''Start!'' shouted the referee, and the match started.

Bald Bull started with feints followed by three jabs, as in the previous match, but this time Mac managed to counteract them all, hitting him in the stomach with three of his own punches, then dodged his jab and hit him four times in the face. Throughout the first round, it was evident that his training had paid off, dodging Bald Bull's attacks by jumping to the side and counterattacking with uppercuts on his chin.

''If you can't keep up with me, you won't go far!'' said Mac.

''Don't test my patience, or I'll start to get annoyed.'' Bald Bull warned him. He tried to hit with an uppercut, but it was dodged, leaving him exposed to a rapid series of repeated punches that almost made him fall. Very irritated, he turned red, and the young American knew what it meant: the Bull Charge. Time seemed to slow down as Mac closed his eyes and saw the opponent running towards him in his mind. ''A little more...'' he thought, realizing that he was approaching, and when he was close enough, he opened his eyes. ''Now!'' he shouted. He moved slightly to the right and tried to intercept Bald Bull's attack with an uppercut, but the opponent's own uppercut struck him with powerful force and threw him away. He saw that he was about to end up against a pillar, but this time, he was ready. He moved his body to the side so that his legs touched the wall and he gave himself momentum, hitting Bald Bull with an unexpected downward hook straight on his head, causing him to fall to the mat.(1)

''Woowee! Way to go, Mac, you used his attack to your advantage!'' cried Doc, amazed.

The referee started counting. ''1! 2! 3! 4! 5! 6! 7-''

At one minute and forty seconds at the end of the round, Bald Bull got up. ''That was a smart and unexpected move, but it won't happen again.'' he said. He then attacked with a hook, but was hit in the face four times. A jab hit Mac, but a subsequent uppercut was too slow, leaving him exposed to four more blows. The boy managed to avoid a series of attacks.

The commentator who commented on his matches was impressed by the young man's speed. ''This year's surprise, Little Mac, is too fast for Bald Bull!'' he commented.

The two boxers then began to exchange attacks, both eager to win. An uppercut struck Mac on the chin, but he remained standing and responded with a series of rapid punches, and Bald Bull could only parry a few of them. He then tried to use his Bull Charge, but the young American dodged the blow and hit him with a cross on his chest, causing him to fall for the second time. Now his nose was squeezed.

''1! 2! 3! 4! 5! 6! 7! 8! 9-''

It was just under a minute to left until the end of the round, and Bald Bull got up. ''Little Mac is in great shape today! He knocked Bald Bull out for the second time in this round and he hasn't fallen yet!'' said the commentator. After a series of blows between the two boxers, Round 1 ended.

''Doc, when Bald Bull uses the Charge of the Bull, he leaves his chest exposed. If I can counter it again, I might have a chance.'' said Mac.

''You're doing great, Mac, you're almost there! If you can win, you'll be the Major Circuit champion!'' said Doc.

The second round had started. ''Let's put an end to this match!'' said Mac determinedly.

''Well said! Let's finish this!'' agreed Bald Bull, who prepared the Bull Charge.

Mac, seeing this, made a star movement with his fists, and began to glow in a blue aura. He had now grown stronger. The two boxers exchanged blows in this state, and nobody wanted to give in.

''A powerful collision between the two boxers! None of them want to give up!'' shouted the commentator.

''Go for it, Mac!'' Doc yelled.

Mac was now holding both Bald Bull's fists, and they broke away briefly, then lunged at each other. The American fired an uppercut, while the Turk used his special attack again, and the two attacks collided, creating a thick cloud of smoke, through which the boxers hit each other in the other's stomach, but no one gave in, and still under the effect of their attacks, they jumped towards each other.

''TAKE- THIS!'' they both screamed, using their special attacks, which collided, and Mac's fist struck Bald Bull in the stomach, as their screams echoed in the room.

When the smoke cleared, the two boxers were on opposite sides, looking behind them, glaring at each other like in a western movie, and the blue aura around Little Mac's fists was gone. There was a big thud. Bald Bull had fallen prone to the ground, and there were spirals in his eyes, indicating that he was dazed.(2) He had bruises on his face, and his nose was squashed. Exactly one minute had passed since the start of the round.

The referee couldn't believe the outcome of the match, and he had tears in his eyes. He wiped them quickly and lifted Mac's arm upward as the camera framed them. ''Bald Bull is KO! That means Little Mac is the winner, and now he's the new Major Circuit Champion!'' he yelled, loud and clear.

(''Victory! Gym Leader- Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire OST'')

''Alright!'' Doc yelled, while the audience cheered loudly.

''An exceptional match! Little Mac just defeated Bald Bull in an upset!'' shouted the commentator.

Initially, Mac could not believe it, but on hearing the referee's voice, he felt great joy within himself. ''WE DID IT!'' he yelled, running to hug his coach.

''Mac, you were amazing!'' Doc shouted.

''I know, but it's all thanks to you!'' replied the young man, while he was helping his opponent to get up.

''Doc, you trained this guy well. He was really tough.'' Bald Bull said to Doc.(3)

Mac was a little confused. ''Doc, do you know Bald Bull?'' he asked.

''Yeah, for quite some time now.'' replied the black man.

Bald Bull then turned to Mac. ''Mac, I admit that you are a very strong boy. I have never seen anyone so young and at the same time so surprising. You countered all my attacks head-on without falling to the floor once. In this match, you made me feel emotions that I have never felt against other opponents before. Congratulations, you were really good.''

''Thanks. You know, sometimes I surprise myself. Losing against you pushed me to improve to beat you.'' replied the boy.

The Turk chuckled. ''And you made it. Take this, it's the title of the Major Circuit Champion.'' he said, giving him a belt with the logo from the Major Circuit: a pastel blue circle, divided by two smaller circles, with the words ''Major Circuit'' on the middle circle, a small crown, a silver star in the innermost circle and six other smaller silver stars in the outermost one. ''You deserved it, and you are worthy of it.''

''Thank you so much, Bald Bull!''

''Now that you have defeated me, you are promoted to the World Circuit, where you will face the five best boxers of the WVBA. If you manage to defeat them all, you will become the Champion. The headquarters of the World Circuit is in Washington.''

Doc didn't expect it. They will have to go to the capital of the United States. ''Washington? The capital?'' he asked.

''Yes. Among those present at the matches, President Ronald Reagan will also be here.(4)''

Upon hearing these words, Mac felt very excited just thinking about it. ''Wow! I can't wait to be here!'' he exclaimed.

''Yeah, everyone would like to be in this position.'' replied the Turk.

''You know, Doc told me about that incident with the paparazzi. I feel sorry for ya. I hope you won't charge people like a bull out of control.'' said Mac.

''It's nothing. I've always been short-tempered, but being disturbed by paparazzi is something I hate. If you meet them, you will know how they are. Same goes for the fans.'' replied Bald Bull.

''Good luck in the next matches.''

''Thanks, good luck to you too.'' The two boxers took off a boxing glove and gave each other a respectful handshake, while Mac raised his belt high.

That evening, Mac and Doc were on the roof of the WVBA headquarters, looking at the stars.

''I can't believe I got this far.'' said the boy.

''Me neither. I'm proud of you, son. Recently, the phone in the reception room rang, so I went over there and your mom was there. She said that she is very proud of you for your progress, and that she and your father are watching all your matches. They didn't expect that you would reach such a achievement, nor that I was your coach.'' replied Doc.

''You know, I have a feeling that Mark is watching me from up there.''

''If it's true, he would be proud of you too.''

''How long will the flight to Washington last?''

''It will last five hours. Tomorrow morning we will start training, then we will go to Washington after lunch. Now go home and get some good rest, you must be at your best for the World Circuit.''

''OK. Goodnight, Doc.''

''Goodnight, Mac. See you tomorrow.''

A/N: Little Mac has won the rematch against Bald Bull, and is now the new Major Circuit Champion! With his new discoveries on the World Circuit, he will head to Washington to face the strongest boxers in the WVBA! I hope you enjoyed this chapter and see you next time! See you soon!

(2): In the Pokémon anime, when a Pokémon is exausted and faints during a battle, it has spiral in the place of its eyes. I put this reference to show when a boxer is unable to keep fighting.

(3): In the series, Bald Bull already knows Doc Louis.

(4): Ronald Reagan was President of the United States from 1981 to 1989, as he was re-elected once. Since the story is set in 1987, Reagan is still President around this time.
