This chapter's going to be short... I just know it... Because the episode only contains small parts of where Envy, Ling and Ed are featured. So this chapters just a filler... Sorry guys! Anyways, I hope you like it and thanks for the follows, favorites and reviews, they absolutely made my week! Enjoy!

Envy jumped, letting out a roar and landing practically on top of Ling and Ed. That was all the sisters could see before another wave of blood knocked into them. Ed went flying into a different direction, stumbling while trying to catch himself. However, as soon as he landed, Envy's tail smashed into him, knocking him down again. Ling ran underneath Envy, taking his sword and slicing his stomach, causing Envy to yell in pain and collapse. "Run Ed!" Ling yelled, scrambling to get away from the homunculus who was rising to his feet.

"Bastard!" Roared Envy, turning to run after the prince. Ling quickly turned around to face him, only to get hit in the chest by his tail, sending Ling flying across into a pillar.

Slamming into it, causing blood to fly from his mouth,"Ling!" The rest of the group yelled. Ling fell to the ground, laying still.

Ashley looked at her sister, "we have to help them", she muttered, attempting to stand.

Emily just looked at her apologetically, "we can't sis, you're hurt and I know I can't do much at the moment."

Ed got up, racing towards Envy to attack him, "Alright Envy, time to die!" Ed suddenly paused, looking at one of the faces on Envy's body.

"Help me..." It pleaded, "kill me! Help me die!" What he thought were tears, streamed down his face, "I beg you, please kill me! Please!" It opened its mouth to speak again, but another head was coming out of it. It laughed maniacally, getting louder by the second. Ed backed up eyes wide looking at all the heads on the monsters side and hearing their voices calling out to him. A sword suddenly plunged through one of the heads, looking up, Ling was perched on it.

Envy's head turned to look at them, taking his giant hand and swiping at Ling to get him off. Ling quickly hopped off running at Ed and grabbing him as Ling kept on running. He skidded to a stop, setting Ed down, "Come on, snap out of it you idiot! Why didn't you attack him?"

"The person..." Ed told him, struggling to get the words out and not sounding like a mumbling mess, "those are people, they need our help... They are trapped inside him..."

"That's a trick Ed! He's a monster!"

"But they ne-" Ling grabbed him by the collar, cutting off what he was going to say.

"Listen to me! Those things are monsters!"

The sisters were slowly making their way over to the alchemist and the prince, trying to avoid being seen or hit by either Envy or a flying object. So far, it wasn't working out to well. They have had to dodge his tail at least three times, only missing two by mere inches. Pieces of stone and dirt were getting hit everywhere and the only way to avoid those were to hid behind other pieces of debris. They kept of getting hit by waves of blood, which weren't that easy to evade, seeing as every wave that went at them always knocked them down.

"I'd never think I would ever say this, but when is Ed going to get eaten?" Emily whined, ducking behind yet another pillar with her sister, peering out from it to see what the guys were actually doing.

"Shut up! Stop it!" Ed covered his ear, trying to block out the noises coming from the creatures on Envy's body. "Stop!"

"Big brother?" Ed suddenly stopped, "wanna play? Let's play", Ed wouldn't move, it seemed as if everything around him stopped and he could only hear one thing.

"I'm done playing with you," Envy growled behind him, eyes seemingly glow white. Ed suddenly turned to look at Envy, however he was too late. Envy grabbed him, and slammed him on the platform the group was once on before. Ed let out a painful scream, stones flying up beside him.

He landed, too weak to get up and turned his head, looking at a decorative stone, "Al... I'm sorry..."

What looked to be Envy's tongue, separated into vines of mush and slime. There were heads attached to partial bodies with hands that wrapped around Ed, carrying him up into Envy's mouth. "Open your eyes Ed! Please, wake up! Wake up- agh" Ling clutched his chest in pain, beads of sweat glistened on his face. Envy tilted his head up, allowing his tongue to roll back into his mouth, carrying Ed with it and clamped his jaws shut, some of the tan mush being bitten off. "Ed, no!" Ling yelled.

Even though she wanted it to happen, Emily was still mortified by what was happening, even her sister had to admit, it was disgusting to watch. Emily ran up and Ashley followed behind her to the still kneeling Ling looking like a little puppy that had gotten kicked, staring at the spot Ed was last at. "He can't be gone", Ling murmured, "He's not gone!" The Xingese prince stood shakily, glaring at the homunculus in front of him.

Envy just laughed, "tough luck kid, but he isn't coming back." Envy was about to lunged at him until his tooth popped out and a leg stuck through where it once was.

"Open up Envy, your breath is killing me!" The four of them heard, "I think I've got a way to get us out of here!" Envy's eyes widened, "Come on Envy, let me out!" It was slightly muted, but they could clearly hear the alchemist.

"Here, it should heal properly now." Ashley told the alchemist in front of her, tightening the bandages Ling has given her to make a splint. A fire sat in the middle of the four, providing a good amount of light for wrapping some of the injuries obtained.

"Thanks Ashley," Ed replied, looking down at his arm.

They heard a crash and looked behind them, "I collected all the fragments that I could find," Envy told Ed, dropping the last one in front of them.

"So this stuff, it's all from Xerxes?" Ling asked.

"That's right, they're pieces of a large mural from what remains from they're temple. I saw the ruins of the mural up close, I thought it was identical the transmutation circle from the fifth laboratory, the one they used to create philosopher stones. But, it's actually different. The sun represents the soul, the moon symbolizes the mind, and then there's the stone canvas of the mural. This represents the body."

"Slow down, try to keep it simple ok?"

"Basically, the mural was a summoning circle, for human transmutation."

"I do know that one... Well I think I do. Is it used to bring back dead people?"

"Not quite, alchemy is based on the rule of equivalent exchange. You can't transmute a life form from a soul that no longer exists in this world. You can trust me on that one." Everyone stood behind Ed, the girls knowing what will happen next. "So, this is where I got the idea to get us out of here. I can't transmute the dead, but what would happen if I transmuted myself?"

"You mean a living person?" Ling asked.

"Exactly, I can use this transmutation circle to deconstruct myself, then I just put myself back together. That's human transmutation, and it will open the portal." He turned to look at Envy, "You said that Gluttony is a defective portal of Truth. I bet that if we pass through the real portal then we will end up in our own reality. I will open up the real portal, and then you all need to jump through it."

"What happens if it goes wrong?" Envy looked at him, the green heads on his form swaying around.

"Then it will ricochet onto the one who actually performed the transmutation, right?" Emily asked him.

Ed nodded, "I'm not going to act like I know anything about alchemy, but this is all yours." Ling told the alchemist.

"Right. Hey Envy," Ed looked up at the homunculus, "I've got something else that I wanted to ask you."

"Hmm?" Envy glanced at him, watching as he dipped his hand in the blood and began to create a picture of sorts.

"The partial mural I saw in Xerxes, it would've looked something more or less like this." He pointed to a symbol, "this is the first thing that caught my eye, the symbol for God is written upside down, and beneath it is the two headed dragon, the alchemical symbol for a complete life form. Which means, this basically translates to 'I will strike God to Earth and become a perfect being'."

"Well that's certainly an arrogant concept," Ling muttered.

"It's not a big deal to talk about it, but then there's this," Ed walked over to a piece of the stone, "this takes it to the next level, an image of a lion swallowing the sun. Symbolizing the philosopher's stone. The philosopher's stone is made with living humans, isn't that correct Envy?"

"Yea, that's right," Envy replied.

"How could a nation as advanced as Xerxes fall, let alone in a single night? What happened to all the citizens? These stone fragments of the mural, you put them here to hide the evidence! You killed them." Ed murmured darkly, "you sacrificed all of Xerxes, you turned them into a philosopher's stone! Who was it? I want to know who used this to transmute himself. Who slaughtered a population of a whole country? Who created all of you? Who's trying to make himself powerful enough to surpass God? It was your father wasn't it? Tell me Envy, whoever this guy is he's been using you homunculi to try and recreate the destruction of Xerxes here in Amestris, hasn't he!" Ed yelled at him.

Envy get closer to Ed, "you get us out of here and I will gladly tell you everything. You've spent enough time beating around the bush, I am tired of waiting for you to ask. You need to pay a toll right? To open the portal?" He opened his mouth, and a philosopher's stone was held on his tongue, "this should work."

"No body, those are the citizens of Xerxes, aren't they?" Ed asked, looking at the mass of heads that were attached to Envy.

"At one time, but their minds and bodies crumbled long ago. All that's left is energy to be consumed, they don't even remember what they look like when they were alive." Ed clenched his teeth from what looked to be sadness and anger, "is that pity? How childish are you? You're desperate to see these things human because you want to believe that your brother still retains his humanity. Would you hesitate to throw a bundle of logs onto a fire? Because you pity the tree they came from? These souls can never go back to being human, you have to use logic if you are to determine what a human is. Don't let your emotions decide!"

"Alright, Ling," the two turned to look at each other, "it might not work out for me, if so you better warn people about these guys plans." Ed pointed at Envy, who gave him a weird look.

"I'm not that concerned about the fate of Amestris, it's not my country."

Ed gave him a disbelieving look, "are you serious?"

"You've got people you love waiting for you, don't you? So just make it back alive and tell them yourself," Ling told him.

Ed stood up taller, a more confident look on his face, and turned to look at what was let of the people of Xerxes on Envy , "I'm sorry, but I need to use you." He got in position to clap his hands, trembling and holding back slightly, looking as if he didn't want to do it. "Get ready," he told everyone.

"That pose he makes when he transmutes, I knew it reminded me of something." Ling thought, watching Ed clap his hands, "he almost looks like he's praying." Ed placed his hands on the circle, which glowed blue. Black wisps of something circled around it almost looking as if they were hands.

"Long time no see, too bad this isn't why I planed on opening you again." Ed thought, "Guys! Jump in it!" He yelled, the blue alchemic light still flared around everyone.

"You better know what you're doing, I'm trusting you!" Ling stepped in the circle, following the two sisters, who's bodies started to deconstruct.

"It's exactly like when Gluttony swallowed us!" Ling was having a hard time not getting knocked back, the force being hard to stay in the circle.

"Thank you," Ed turned to look at what was speaking to him, "Thank you." The rest of Envy's body disappeared, along with the sisters and the prince. White light surrounded Ed, blinding anything he was trying to see and shut his eyes. He heard an explosion, the liquid around him being pushed back, and he disappeared. No light remained inside where they use to be, it was all black.

Was it good? That took me 5 hours... But oh well! Reviews are appreciated, but you probably already know that. Thank you guys, really, you make my day! Hope everyone's week goes well! Again, thank you!
