EXTRA PART II

Saturday. A day destined for rest since time immemorial. A day to stay home and rest after a hard week of getting up prior to 5:00 a.m. so that you can prepare yourself and have a calm breakfast before going to work. This was what Gar believed, and in a way he expected it for Raven too. When she stayed with him from Friday night to Monday morning, they laid together in bed with her in his arms until at least 10:00 a.m. They would get up, take a shower together or separately, have breakfast and spend the rest of the day together. They would watch a movie or take a ride on their motorcycles while chatting through the intercoms installed in their helmets. Sometimes, they would help Dick and Kory by choosing tablecloths, plates, napkins, etc. for the wedding reception. Other times, they would just lie on the bed or the sofa in the living room sharing nice quality time together. She read books with his head rested on her legs, Gar either playing one of his video games or reading comics while listening to music.

There were even occasions when he would lie between Raven's legs with his head resting on her

abdomen, hugging her waist while she read him one of the adventure, fantasy or science fiction books that belonged to his extensive and varied collection of literary works that covered all genres. Sometimes they took turns cooking lunch and dinner, other times they cooked something together, joking, singing a song they both liked or talking. The rest of the time, they just ordered pizza or whatever they wanted to eat using the delivery service. Finally, they would end the day making love until they were exhausted or simply sleeping in each other's arms, enjoying each other's company and warmth .

That's how it was on weekends for Gar until Raven met Victor Stone, a renowned automotive engineer and Gar's best friend for just over fourteen years. Victor was a 6"7 tall African-American man with a muscular and athletic body that made him look like an imposing giant, with expressive gray eyes and slight shades of light blue. But in contrast to his imposing appearance, Victor was extremely charismatic, pleasant and fraternal with those he appreciated as he was with Gar and now, Raven. She had quickly earned his approval and affection after talking for hours during the motorcycle show the musician had taken her to several weeks ago.

Since then, Raven visited Victor's workshop every weekend to work together on Victor's new project, which involved designing, building and assembling special prototype motorcycles to launch his own Stone motorcycle brand. Raven joined the project without a second thought after seeing several of the models on display that Gar's friendly friend had worked on either as a team member or as a team leader. And to Gar's chagrin this weekend would be no exception.

"Do you really have to go today too?" Gar snarled grumbling from the bed.

He watched his girlfriend put on a pair of simple, slightly worn-out blue jeans, a black flannel with an inscription in white letters that said "Black is my happy color," a pair of black leather biker boots and a black leather jacket in the same style.

"I mean, it's worth resting for at least a day, don't you think?"

"And you don't think it's enough to rest during the week?" Raven answered as if that was the most obvious thing in the world while she finished tying her bootlaces, "Besides, Vic needs me and I don't intend to let him down after I've committed myself to helping him with this project."

Gar snorted at the disagreement, frowning slightly and making Raven turn to look at him for a couple of seconds in a questioning manner. Then, she smiled a little mockingly as she finally understood what was happening to her boyfriend. "Don't tell me that you're jealous?" she said, widening even more the smile that adorned her face as she watched Gar confirm her suspicions with his bewildered expression.

"No... of course not! I'm 26, Rae, I wouldn't be jealous of something as ridiculous as..." he tried to deny, but it was too late because Raven had noticed and wouldn't let it go, "Who am I fooling? Yeah, I'm a bit jealous. Are you happy now?

"Don't be ridiculous Gar," she smiled shyly as she climbed back into bed, walked up to him and then leaned over. She kissed him in such a way that Gar, after a few seconds, reacted by grabbing her in his arms and turning quickly to change positions, leaving her lying on the bed while he stood over her.

"You know as well as I do that you shouldn't be jealous of Victor," she continued.

"I know, but lately I feel like you spend more time with him than you do with me," Gar finally admitted, looking her straight in the eyes in embarrassment and discomfort, "I don't mind you spending time with him and I know it's impossible for you two to fool me like Tara and that asshole Tommy did. What bothers me is that I can't spend as much time with you as I'd like. And the worst part of it is that at the same time I'm glad you two are as close as you are... it's weird I know, I know, but it's how I feel."

"I'd like to spend more time with you too, Gar," said Raven wrapping her arms around her boyfriend's neck as she smiled slightly at him who was now watching her expectantly, "I miss everything we used to do and that's why I'm working so hard on this project. The more we work, the sooner we'll finish... and when I do, our weekends together will be like before".

"Fine," Gar agreed resignedly, since he knew he couldn't convince her to make up some excuse to Victor and take that day off, "Just don't push yourself too hard. I'm worried about how little you're resting between work, band rehearsals and the project with Vic. I don't want you to collapse, especially when I'm not there to help you."

"All right, I'll take it easy," she agreed, finally getting Gar to step aside so she could get up. "I'll be back at 6:00 p.m. What will you do in the meantime?"

"I'll go help Angela at the flower shop," he answered simply, smiling amusedly at the perplexity reflected on his girlfriend's face at that moment, who expected anything but that answer, "She called last night after you fell asleep in bed while changing your clothes. She wanted you to help her today and tomorrow at the flower shop, but since I know you prefer mechanics to flowers a thousand times over, I told her you'd be working and I offered to go in your place".

"Gar, you didn't have to..."

"It's no big deal, Rae," he interrupted her, waving a hand in front of her face to dismiss the matter as he got up. He grabbed the gray camouflage military trousers he had thrown on his desk the night before, and quickly put them on, and then put on a navy blue t-shirt and a pair of dark grey hiker boots, along with a silver chain around his neck, his black sports watch and a black leather bracelet. "Plus I knew I wasn't going to convince you to stay and rest today. Are you ready?"

"Yes, I'm ready. Thanks for covering me with my mother," Raven said honestly. She followed Gar into the bathroom where he rushed to brush his teeth and comb his hair a little before leaving the house with her. "I promise to make it up to you when I get back".

"You don't have to do that, plus it's a good chance to get to know Angela better," he replied by playing it down again. He gave her a goodbye kiss and then headed for his beloved and impressive pickup truck as he had a feeling he would need it that day. "Give my regards to Vic and tell him he owes me a big one, he'll know what I mean. See you tonight."

"May the force be with you, Gar" she said to herself as she put her helmet on and got on her bike. Gar didn't hear her say this last one because she had already boarded her truck, but it didn't matter because it wouldn't make any difference whether he heard it or not considering that he would have to deal with Angela. "You'll need it to work with my mom."

After this, Raven turned on the compact player that she had installed in her motorcycle and began to march towards her destiny, listening and singing one of her favorite songs to travel on a motorcycle, Good Girls by Elle King, which was the only good thing that had left that dreadful adaptation of the Ghostbusters' movie in 2016.

I've been a-dancing in a devil's dirt
I'm a whole lot of trouble in a itty-bitty skirt
Well, the best kind of loving is the one that hurts
You can get your kicks, but I'll get my purse
I can take you down when the damned get wild
There's a whole lot of sinning but they're greener for miles
Three hits on the 6, there's a number that you dial
You can be like me but I'm a real brat child

Elle King, was one of her favorite singers along with Gin Wigmore and ZZ Ward. She really liked the style that the three singers had and as a fan, she had all their albums and knew all their songs. In fact, they always accompanied her trips on her motorbike except when she was out with Gar, being Good Girls and Where the Devil Don't go by Elle King her favorite songs when it came to riding on the asphalt.

I do, what the good girls don't
I do, what the good girls don't
I do what the good girls should never ever, never ever do

Hey, hey, hey
Since I'm gonna go to hell anyway
I'll go out with a bang, bang, bang
Crash and burn it all away
Hey, hey, hey
Since I'm gonna go to hell anyway
I'll go out with a bang, bang, bang
Crash and burn it all away

Raven couldn't help but identify with this song because she was like that, she didn't do what most girls did. She was tough, determined, independent and didn't care what others might think of her, because if she thought she was doing something well, then that's all she cared about. This didn't mean that she didn't know how to be considerate or that she didn't have anyone in her life that she cared about. It's just that she had always preferred to be true to herself than to live by the opinion of others. After all, it was her life and only she could decide how she would live it.

Well, I walked in the light and I lived in the sun
Now I die for the night cause the days are done
I kissed a couple of angels but it wasn't much fun
Now I shake, shake, shake it with an evil tongue

This did not mean that she was contradicting Gar on a whim or out of simple defiance. In fact, on this occasion she had a good reason to do so and she was determined to do whatever was necessary to achieve her goal, even if it meant having to lie to Gar in the blatant way she had been doing for the past few weeks. A good girl wouldn't do something like that, but again, she wasn't a good girl.

I do, what the good girls don't
I do, what the good girls don't
I do what the good girls should never ever, never ever do

Hey, hey, hey
Since I'm gonna go to hell anyway
I'll go out with a bang, bang, bang
Crash and burn it all away
Hey, hey, hey
Since I'm gonna go to hell anyway
I'll go out with a bang, bang, bang
Crash and burn it all away

After this the pre-chorus and the chorus of the song would be repeated a couple more times and Raven would sing them with emotion as she turned to enter Victor's workshop, who was waiting for her at the entrance with a big smile as he had always done since they had started working together.

"Hey, sis. What took you so long?" Victor greeted her by clasping her hand with Raven's as soon as she stopped beside him, "Don't tell me the seaweed head suspects something?"

"No. I've been careful enough so that he doesn't find anything suspicious of what we're really doing here Victor," she replied with a slight smile after taking off her helmet, "Although he complained that I spend more time with you than with him lately."

"Boo-yah!" He celebrated with the brunette by raising his state-of-the-art bionic prosthetic arm, "I would have given my arm to see the little guy jealous."

"If you want I'll record it for the next one," she suggested innocently as she held Victor's hand. She wore a black cap that he had made for her, which had an inscription in white letters saying: Little Sis.

"I love your wicked mind, little sis," he smiled mischievously as he adjusted his own cap to match Raven's, which had an inscription in white letters that said Big Bro, "but it's time to get back to work or we won't finish on time."

"So what are you waiting for? Let's go," she urged, making her way to the workshop followed closely by Victor who simply couldn't help but laugh at the attitude and motivation to work of his best friend's girlfriend.

This and Raven's passion for mechanics were the two things that immediately connected them. And so, he couldn't help but invite her to his workshop to help him with the final finishing touches on one of the motorcycles he had been working on. He thought he'd dig a little deeper into getting to know her more while they worked. He didn't want his best friend to fall into another disastrous one-sided relationship that would make him waste more of his life as it had with Tara before. Let's just say it was his way of taking care of the one who had been like his little brother for so many years. He was actually quite skeptical about the relationship between the two at first, but as he learned more about Raven, not only did he like her more, but he began to understand all the things that had attracted Gar to her. By the time he realized that, he "baptized" her as his little sister and gave her that matching cap, which Raven gladly accepted and wore whenever she went to work with him in the workshop.

When he thought about it, Victor never believed that he would have to wait until he was 27 to see how his best friend would finally get a good companion. Although it was still too early to draw any conclusions, Victor hoped with all his heart that the relationship between those two would really last. If Gar was destined to settle down with someone one day, Victor sincerely hoped that Raven would be the chosen girl. This was not only because he really liked her, but because he could notice the affection she felt towards his friend, which was big enough to encourage her to propose and convince him to help her in the crazy idea that she had come up with a couple of weeks ago.

"If that idiot doesn't appreciate everything this girl is doing for him, I'm definitely going to put his ass in orbit for being an asshole," Victor said to himself as he put on some music to work on his rhythm.

While all this was going on in Victor's workshop, Gar was having one of the most uncomfortable and difficult moments he ever had in his entire life. Currently, he sat on a wooden bench next to the intimidating man that Angela had called to help her. He was there instead of Kory, who had to leave after being called to the jewelry store for an inconvenience that had occurred during the elaboration of the wedding rings. That man was just a bit taller than Victor, so he must have been a little over 6"7 feet tall, maybe as tall as 6"8 feet or a little more. It was hard to determine for Gar who was not used to feeling smaller than someone else since he turned 17 years old and suddenly grew up to be the tallest in the group after Victor and followed closely by Kory.

The strange man sitting next to Gar had not stopped looking at him impassively with his peculiar platinum grey eyes. He seemed to be upset with Gar for some reason and took the opportunity to make him notice every time Angela got absent minded. This fellow was white with slightly tanned skin, his body was solid and well defined like that of a professional wrestler. He also had large hands that seemed to be ready to close over Gar's neck if ever he became careless. Gar definitely did not like the attitude that this guy had towards him at all, which was causing the discomfort he felt to gradually turn into anger and displeasure. His muscles tensed and faced this jerk with his best grimace that made few friends. Now, Gar was upset and didn't care if it offended the guy or not. After all, who was he to look at him that way? If he had to resort to fists to make him understand, then Gar would gladly do so. He was tired of such hostility towards him, especially when he had done nothing to deserve it.

"Okay guys, in about two hours I have to open the store and all orders have to be ready to go in the covered parking area," Angela suddenly said, interrupting the fierce duel of looks between the two men. In fear, they quickly turned to her as if she were their superior in the army and they were the cadets under her command, "Gar dear, I want you to take care of placing all the arrangements with the blue ribbon on the left side of the parking lot. They should be arranged in line in groups of five rows by three columns. Edward, I want you to stop bothering Gar and order the red ribbon arrangements on the right side of the parking lot as well. When you're done doing that, come back here and I'll tell you what else you need to do. Got it?"

"As you wish ma'am / As you wish Angela" They both said in unison, turning around to look upset when they realized their synchrony and how they had said almost the same words.

"How charming. Now go to work as time is pressing!" Angela ordered loudly and impassively, forcing the two men to run and do as she had instructed.

Before they knew it, that simple task turned into a competition to see who could finish their assignment the fastest and without spoiling the elaborate flower arrangements. It ended in a surprising draw to the displeasure of both of them. They rushed back to Angela who seemed to be very busy making another flower arrangement that looked much more complicated than the previous ones.

"Now I want these materials moved from the warehouse to the cargo van in the parking lot," she said, pointing to a couple of lists on the store counter, "Be careful not to mix up the bags of dirt, gravel and rocks or it will be more difficult to discharge them later. Gar, dear, everything on your list goes first, so sort everything out so that it's easy to get them out later. Edward, your list is next, the instructions are the same as Gar's."

"Got it," said the two men again in unison cursing in their inner selves at the damned synchrony.

With a snarl, they both turned around and went to the warehouse to look for the things that Angela had placed on their lists. It took a while to find everything and place it in such a way so that later, they would only move it to the cargo van without wasting time looking for each item. This work was undoubtedly more demanding than the previous one since the amount of sacks that they had to move was considerably large. It took Gar and Edward a couple of hours to get everything to the parking lot even though they carried two large bags on their shoulders on each trip and did not stop to rest or hydrate.

It was all part of the competition that Gar and Edward had established without a word. If it wasn't for Angela who stopped them, they would have started loading everything into the Van Chevrolet N300 Cargo in the parking lot at once. She dragged them back to the store for a refreshing drink and to get some rest, then forced them to wash their hands and arms. Afterwards, they helped load the flower arrangements into two vans that picked them up an hour late and therefore, they needed to load everything quickly. Once they had finished doing that, the two men returned together with Angela who watched in consternation at everything that had to be loade. Her beloved van could only withstand about 550 kg without forcing it and about 700 kg by forcing it.

"At this rate we'll have to make three trips to get everything," she thought aloud, drawing the attention of Gar and Edward, "but I can't waste time with so many trips because I'd have to readjust the whole work program I did."

"We can put the rest into my pickup." Gar suggested, drawing Angela's attention, that she now saw him as a divine messenger or something, "my SUV has a gross payload capacity of one ton and a towing capacity of 3500 kg, we just have to secure everything well and it won't be a problem. What do you say?"

"That you're the best son-in-law I could have asked for," confessed Raven's mother as she did the quick math in her head. "Well, then let's pack up and get going. Edward, you'll drive the van and I'll go with Gar in his pickup. Got it?"

Both men nodded to avoid another annoying coincidence and went about their work.

After they had finished packing everything into the two vehicles, they set off for the house of a wealthy family living outside the city where Angela was in charge of designing and building the main garden. If what he had done so far had seemed demanding to Gar, that was nothing compared to all that he and Edward had to do the rest of the day. One of them carried the sacks from one place to another, pouring them with great care into the places that Angela indicated. In the meantime, the other helped level everything and took care that not a single piece of material went outside the areas marked out by Raven's mother, who led them in a Spartan manner while working with them. She marked out the gravel, pebble, and sand paths with stones carefully placed on the edges of the path to separate it from the grass and the areas where the flowers that would decorate the garden would go.

By the end of the day, both men were so exhausted that they didn't even have the strength to look tough for each other. Neither of them objected when Angela arbitrarily decided that on the trip back to the flower shop she would drive the van, while Edward would have to go along with Gar in his SUV. Both men only realised what a dirty trick Angela had played on them when they were already on their way back, which would no doubt be a long and uncomfortable moment if Gar didn't do something. Without a second thought, Gar opted for what he thought was the best way to deal with the situation...

He turned on the music player, turned up the volume, put on Outlaws & Outsiders by Cory Marks feat Ivan Moody, Travis Tritt and Mick Mars, turned his eyes to the passenger seat and faced the jerk who now occupied that seat.

"Hey, what's your problem with me, man?" Gar attacked directly, not caring that the man was old enough to be his father.

Got a gypsy soul I`m a rabel and rogue
And I`m always on the run
With a fire inside ain`t ever gonna die
I`m a locked and loaded gun.

"You're the problem, kid," Edward reluctantly replied while smiling slightly arrogantly, "I don't know what the hell you're hoping to get out of Raven, or why you're trying to win Angela over so badly. But if you're just playing with them, then you better stop and go back to that rat's nest you came out of or I swear I'll tear you apart with my own hands. Do I make myself clear or do I repeat it to you with drawings?"

When the matches strike and gasoline lights
It`s only just begun
One thing I learned is you can watch it all burn
But the flame ain`t ever done

"I want to see you try, old man," Gar grunted in reply, challenging him and clenching the wheel so as not to knock his teeth out at that moment, "If you want to keep me away from Raven, you'll have to force me."

Rise`em up a litle higher your lighters
Outlaws and outsiders
Some call me a renegade the enemy
Throw your hands up if you feel the same.

Wo oh oh
Living life at the edge
Just say what you wanna say or walk away
I`ll stand tall when there`s hell to pay
Ain`t no power higher we`re the
Outlaws and outsiders

"As you wish, girl." Edward roared in anger at the irreverence and stubbornness of that stupid hormonal blonde who was trying to look like a man. "When I tear you apart you will leave Raven and Angela alone once and for all or I will kill you with my own hands next time."

I was born in the dark with a fearless heart
And a taste for the other side
I was crazy ass kid withall the all the shit I did
I`m amazed I`m still alive
They trought I`d change with a little bit of age
But you know I never will
Takes too much time just to walk a straight line.

"Don't get ahead of yourself, man, you gotta beat me first," Gar refuted by pointing to the flower shop parking lot as soon as the headlights on his truck illuminated the entrance to the flower shop at the end of the street, "and that ain't gonna happen."

"You're gonna regret this, kid." Edward threatened him with his hand ready to open the passenger door as soon as Angela's van crossed the threshold of the flower shop's grand entrance.

Rise`em up a litle higher your lighters
Outlaws and outsiders
Some call me a renegade the enemy
Throw your hands up if you feel the same.

Wo oh oh
Living life at the edge
Just say what you wanna say or walk away
I`ll stand tall when there`s hell to pay
Ain`t no power higher we`re the
Outlaws and outsiders.

"Same to you, old man." Gar replied as he parked his truck next to Angela's van.

After that, the two men got out of the vehicle, closed both doors tightly behind them, and turned to the rear of the car. They collided brutally with each other in a brutal exchange of punches that almost made them both fall to the ground. They quickly recovered and stood in front of each other again with their fists raised, measuring each other before venturing out to attack again. Edward was the first to attack this time, throwing a combination of jab-cross-left hook that Gar blocked. He responded with a combination of jab-cross-left uppercut. Edward deflected the first punch, but the second unbalanced him and made him retreat a couple of steps. This was an opportunity that Gar took advantage of to violently pounce on him ready to smash his face with his fists. But Edward recovered faster than he had expected, dodging Gar's right hook by bending his legs and lowering his head enough to get under the blow. As the older man advanced with the momentum he had, he rammed the musician across the abdomen and pulled him to the ground, where he quickly positioned himself over Gar and began to beat him savagely in the face.

Gar managed to block most of the punches, but couldn't help but take a few good punches while trying to get the mastodon that was Edward off his chest. At one point, he was able to take advantage of Edward's tiredness and leaned over him. Gar reacted quickly enough to block another punch and immediately counterattacked by connecting a powerful jab to Edward's nose, breaking it and making him fall back to the ground. He began to bleed profusely from his nose and he held it with both hands, writhing on the floor in pain.

Gar stood up with difficulty and watched him from above as he tried to catch his breath, sure that victory was his from the moment he felt that idiot's nose crack with the direct impact of his fist. After all, in a real fight if you break your opponent's nose or a jaw, you have already won because there is nothing they can do while they're in pain. In the case of a broken nose, you have to deal with the despair that comes from feeling that you are drowning in your own blood and with the tears which inevitably start to flow. Yet Edward, after several minutes, dared to straighten his own nose by crunching it again while releasing a curse. He then spat out blood and stood up from the ground, watching Gar fiercely as the blood still flowed freely from his nose to his chin. You could tell it was not the first time something like this had happened to him.

Gar's nose was also bleeding, one of his eyes was partially closed and slightly swollen while the cut on his eyebrow was still bleeding non-stop, soaking his swollen eye and cheekbone in blood. The two looked at each other for a moment, then raised their fists again in a defensive manner. But before they could even think of doing anything else, a couple of buckets of ice water fell directly on their faces, surprising them and drowning them for a brief moment. Annoyed, both men turned to the place from which the sudden attack had come. In less than a second, their angry expressions turned to bewilderment and then to genuine terror at the icy sight of the two women standing before them holding a pair of buckets in their delicate hands.

It was Angela and Raven, who had appeared from who knows where. At that moment, they watched the two men in such a way that if looks killed, they would both be more than dead and buried.

"What the hell is wrong with you two morons?" Raven's cold, emotionless voice left both men frozen and babbling incoherencies that only added to her anger, "Silence!"

Gar and Edward felt a knot forming in their throats at the harshness of the young Goth girl's voice, which was well known for its iron character and for the little, almost non-existent patience she had when she was angry.

"Go to the shop, wash your faces, and wait for us upstairs without a fight. Was I clear, or am I going to have to explain it to you in drawings so that you understand?"

Not wanting to make Raven and Angela any angrier, Gar and Edward quickly nodded and made their way to the shop looking at each other in a bad way. Once they were both out of sight, Raven turned her attention to her mother, who most naturally opened the door of Gar's pickup truck to the passenger seats and took out a tape recorder she had stored there before they left the huge house after finishing the first part of Angela's assignment.

"Are you satisfied now?" Raven asked, watching her mother impassively, who approached her with a triumphant smile on her face, "This could have ended very badly and you know it. It's a fortune that Gar knows how to fight, otherwise the other idiot would have sent him straight to the hospital, like he did with Eric when I was dating him."

"Eric Forrester was a jerk who just wanted to have sex with you, daughter," rebutted Angela by tapping her daughter on the forehead with her index finger while smiling funny, "and Edward is very good at dealing with jerks like that. Remember that thanks to him, you discovered the truth in time and avoided suffering needlessly, even after having ignored my warning about that young man. I know it was part of your teenage rebellion, but it could have hurt you badly."

"I know, but he's too extreme with his tests," sighed Raven, resigned to her mother's triumphant smile that didn't seem to want to go away for now, "Let's hear what you have there and hurry back to those two before they try to kill each other again."

Only three minutes and twenty seconds were enough for those two to stupidly decide to act like animals, Angela found the argument between the two very amusing. Raven just felt more eager than before to strangle them for being stupid enough to let their high testosterone levels dominate them like that. Although she could easily have expected this sort of thing from Edward, the fact that Gar ended up falling into his game was something totally unexpected and new for her. Until now, the most aggressive thing she had seen was when he put Tara in her place, but now she had discovered a new facet of the peaceful and pleasant musician. If it weren't for Edward, she would probably never have known this side of Gar existed.

After this, the two women looked for the first aid kit and a couple of bags of ice before joining the two men who were each sitting on one of the chairs in the living room of Angela's apartment. They were forced to sit on either end of the large couch there while Raven and Angela sat in the middle and began treating their injuries.

"Just so we're clear, this must never happen again. Do you hear me?" Raven ordered as she cleaned and disinfected the cut on Gar's eyebrow, feeling him staring into her eyes trying to get her attention, but she ignored him, "I don't want to be worried all the time thinking that my father and boyfriend might be fighting savagely again."

"Wait a minute. What?!" exclaimed Gar, surprised, turning abruptly to Edward who now smiled, amused by his expression and by the way Raven abruptly forced him to look back at her. "You said your father's name was Trigon!"

"Trigon is my nickname, you idiot," said the big man with a loud laugh that made Gar angry again, "My real name is Edward Adler. So what? Do you regret fighting with me now, kid?"

"No, and I'd do it again if I had to." Gar firmly declared, stealing a slight, fleeting smile from Raven without realizing, "I am a man after all, and not a kid, sir. And if you want a fight, I'll give you as many times as you need to leave me in peace."

"Watch what you say, son, you never know what might happen in the future," Edward warned him seriously, receiving a threatening look from his wife, "However, you passed the test for now. I like you as a man, but not as my daughter's boyfriend. So don't tempt your luck with such bold declarations of war".

"I believe you know how I think about that," Gar replied, closing the conversation as he felt Raven's grip on his jaw tighten in a threatening way.

After that, the two men both smiled slightly before sinking into a deep silence encouraged by the pressure and the threatening look that the women threw at them at that moment. Once Angela and Raven had finished tending to their respective partners' injuries, Angela invited them to dinner. However, Raven decided that it would be best for her and Gar to return home for now. Since Gar still had one eye partially closed, Raven was forced to leave her motorbike and drive the van in order to return home.

Silence reigned between them during the whole trip back to Gar's house, where finally the musician decided to speak again. He stopped his girlfriend in the living room before she could climb the stairs that connected with the second floor.

"I'm sorry, Rae" finally said the musician in a soft and resigned voice, "I know I acted like an idiot today by fighting with your father, but it was something I had to do and..."

"Gar," said Raven raising her voice above his, interrupting him abruptly, "there is something that you have not understood and that is that I am not upset with you for fighting with my father.

"But you..."

"Let me finish Gar," Raven raised her voice again, silencing him on the spot, "my mother called me when you finished your work and told me that my father had also gone to help her and that on the way back she had forced you guys to ride in the same car... I got really scared and scared because I knew you guys would end up fighting and he doesn't know how to stop himself. In fact he has sent several of my previous boyfriends to the hospital..."

Gar watched her silently, waiting patiently for her to finish speaking.

"I was afraid you'd end up like them, but it turns out you're one of the few idiots who could put up a fight," she continued to squint for a brief moment and then connected her gaze with his, "I'm glad you're willing to stand up for us with such passion, but I'd rather you avoid doing something so stupid again unless it's strictly necessary... because unlike my previous relationships, I care about you enough to worry about you as much as I did today.

"I understand and... I promise to do everything I can to never make you worry about me like that again," he replied with a sincere smile before embracing her, "although I admit I love the idea of having a sexy personal nurse like you every time I get hurt."

"You know? We had a moment here and you just ruined it," she complained by punching him in the chest before she turned around and started to walk up the stairs, "Just for that, you get to make dinner tonight."

"But... but I'm hurt, Rae. And it was me who cooked dinner yesterday!" he complained, ready to get her to come round, but any other argument he could try and use to convince her died when Raven's winding, provocative walk up the stairs got all of his attention.

And how can you avoid it when your girlfriend has a sexy, provocative ass and legs like Raven's? You just can't help it, you can only see, fantasize and bite them when you have the chance. Or you could always create the opportunity, something which Gar could boast that he was very good at when he proposed.

"Somehow, you have to compensate me for today and also for having ruined the moment," she replied, turning to him with a sly and mischievous smile on her face, "and if I were you, I'd start cooking at once. I'm hungry and I want to eat after I shower."

Having said that, Raven went straight to the bathroom because after having been working all day in the workshop with Victor, she felt that she stunk of sweat. She was really dying to take a good and relaxing shower, eat some of Gar's creative dishes while watching some movies to relax before going to bed. After everything that had happened today, she was physically and mentally exhausted.

However, her plans would not go as she had hoped, as only a few minutes after she had entered the shower, she felt a pair of arms surrounding her waist from behind, grabbing her and gently drawing her into a male body that she knew well.

"What are you doing, Gar?" she asked, smiling slightly as she rested her head on her boyfriend's shoulder. "Shouldn't you be in the kitchen by now?"

"I should, but I also need a bath and you need some company," smiled Gar depositing a kiss on Raven's cheek. He pressed her body against his as he turned around so that the water from the shower hit his back, "With me here we both win, don't you think?

Understanding the message between the lines in what Gar had said, Raven leaned her neck to one side, implicitly inviting him to turn his words into actions. Gar agreed to his girlfriend's silent request, separating himself from her a bit to slowly start tracing a path of kisses from the beginning of her thin shoulder to her earlobe. He travelled and tasted every inch of his girlfriend's smooth skin as he caressed her belly and breasts with his hands. He pampered her with his touch and kisses until she turned towards him to wrap her delicate arms around his neck, kissing him as she had been waiting to do all day.

"I admit that this is a good way to reward me too," said Raven, separating herself from him to get back under the water of the shower. Gar just glanced at his girlfriend's body as he took the soap ready to wash every inch of his girlfriend's slim, chiseled body, "but you still have to prepare dinner."

"And you have to go back to being my personal nurse, Rae." Gar countered by pointing to the cut on his eyebrow and his bruised face, Raven just raised an eyebrow inquisitively looking at him as she let herself be "helped" by him, "So. Why don't you just let yourself go and then we'll see what happens?"

"I think we both know that," she replied by skillfully sliding one of her hands across her boyfriend's chest until she reached out and grabbed his manhood, which he couldn't help but be a little startled by the sudden movement, then smiling mischievously as he continued his work while she started hers, "You'll make me dinner."

The two laughed at this last comment before exchanging a kiss and going back into the warm water of the shower where they would continue their little "game" while they bathed, enjoying another moment together in spite of all they had had to go through that day. After this and putting on something comfortable to sleep, Raven returned to attend to Gar so that he could go prepare dinner while she chose a movie to watch. However, they were so exhausted that they couldn't help falling asleep on the couch with Raven using Gar's arm as a pillow, her body completely attached to his as he hugged her from the waist with his free arm.

Well, I hope you liked this second extra chapter. As you can see Edward Adler (Trigon), Raven's father appeared in this chapter, so tell me, how did you like the interaction between Edward and Gar? What do you think is the secret that Raven and Victor (Cyborg) might be hiding from Gar? And why are they so determined to keep it a secret?

Now, I'll respond to the comments:

Thatonereader1228: Great. I'm glad you liked it. As you can see in this chapter, Raven's father provoked Gar to see how he would react and Gar defended himself properly. Tell me. What do you think of this chapter?

Well, again, I hope you liked this chapter. If so, we'll see you again next Sunday. The next special comes with a couple of surprises too.

Anyway, we'll see you next weekend, until then everybody take care for now.
