Epilogue
The glistening lights, crowds of people, power speakers capable of deafening someone standing close enough and the largest stage they were to play on. Finally, their music. Afterglow was done with their part, and people in the audience were already screaming.
"Don't fuck this up, Minato-san." Ran addressed Roselia's leader politely.
"You know I won't." Yukina was quick with the reply.
She was already intensely concentrated, when she noticed Lisa was looking rather unsettled. Her legs weren't shaking, but if it happened on stage, it could go downhill. Yukina grabbed her hand.
"Lisa, it will go as planned. I'm certain it will." Vocalist temporarily forgot about restraining herself and approached gyaru.
"Yu-Yukina!?" Lisa's attention was undeniably all hers.
"That is because when I was with you, I felt how tattered your fingertips were from all the practice." She whispered, so that only Lisa could hear.
"In case it won't, Minato-san will remove you from the band." Sayo joined in with a mocking smile.
"That's not encouragement!" Bassist protested.
"Wait. No one will be leaving Roselia. Well, perhaps except Sayo." Yukina read the mood.
"What would be the reason?" Guitarist seemed like she was anticipating a reply in jest.
"Not bringing the cookies to rehearsals, naturally." Yukina concluded.
Lisa was laughing, just like Ako, Rinko and Sayo. Since it seemed like they were all less dense now, Yukina tried to give them, as well as herself, a little boost of motivation.
"Alright, let's get a bit more serious. We worked hard for this moment. So let's give the audience what they came for."
"Let's share the passion of the blue roses with them!"
Among the uproar, they took the stage and started the awaited show with "Erased Past".
Afterword
Thank you so much for reading!
If you've managed all the way through, you have my respect ;). This story started out as a simple LisaYuki, but then evolved over time into a longer piece about Roselia in general. I kept writing and it ended up growing quite a bit. You probably noticed I also ship AkoRinko, so that made its way, too.
The whole theme became slice-of-life with some subdued yuri, even though the focus was supposed to be on the relationship between Lisa and Yukina, since that pairing is a real classic, I just love them so much ;O It was also important for me to show the difficulties of maintaining the band as you pile up the responsibilities. Hopefully it was kind of bearable ;-o
The real Roselia had an excellent run in 2019 and continues to play, plus people are actually picking up stuff after seeing them. Now that's neat if you ask me!
Oh, yeah, sorry for no chapter titles. Maybe I'll have it figured out next time…
