Are you READY?! Sorry, I love KoRn, so I did that.
Ehem.. So! Here we are, new chappie, and a bit more screen time for our mortal enemy, Makarov.
:D
"Where the bloody hell are they, Nikolai?" Price asked irritably as he came back from Soap's room. The Scotsman was pretty banged up from the fall, and they had sowed him up.
Nikolai shook his head. "I don't know. Yulia said they went to check out why the Skull was out at sea again. It was just a few hours before Makarov set you guys up, and no one has heard from Erikk or the others."
Zero closed her eyes, feeling suddenly alone. Reaper was gone, and she feared that only she was left in Skeleton Crüe. "They have to be alive.. Wolf wouldn't just die with no contact. That isn't him."
"I know, lass... They're probably caught up with something they had to do." Price placed a hand on her shoulder, looking as the feed suddenly came on. It was a recording of the Skull floating off shore, a Hind flying the colors of the Loyalists. "What the..."
"That's Erikk's chopper." Nikolai breathed. They watched as the Hind landed on the flight deck, dropping off two figures who slowly crossed the flight deck, heading inside. Then it skipped to about sunrise, showing Erikk's chopper moving around slowly.
"Who took the video?" Zero asked, watching as the video skipped again. They saw bubbles erupting from the water at the bow of the ship. The feed then cut to the inside of the ship, the American Captain running towards the bow. But he stopped, looking to the room the Crüe used like the room Zero, Price, and Nikolai were in. They could see him.
Vladimir Makarov.
"Bollocks! It was a trap.." Price growled, slamming his fist on the wall. He looked up at the feed as it went back to a handheld, the ship breaking apart and Erikk's chopper having to compensate.
That's when they saw Wolf, carrying Micro, jump just as the video cut.
Zero looked down, clenching her teeth and her pants, tears falling. "So I'm alone.. Fucking great.."
"You're not alone, Lass. Not by a long shot.." Price said, hand placed on her shoulder.
Reaper's dog tags were hanging from to the wall of intel with his auto mag, along with his vairous patches and photos.
Price sighed. "There's a clocktower in Hereford where the names of the dead are inscribed. We try to honor their deeds even as their faces fade from our memory. Those memories are all that's left, when the bastards have taken everything else."
Reaper soon was labeled KIA on the laptop, Nikolai tapping.
Baseplate was on the line now, listening to them. "What happened?"
"He killed them. Wolf, Reaper, Micro... They're gone, Mac." Price sighed. "Soap is busted up pretty bad too.."
Mac let out a sigh. "What do you need from me, son?"
Nikolai tapped on the board, images of a castle in Prague shown.
Price started. "A location. Our Russian says Makarov used to cache weapons at an old castle near Prague. He's got nothing more solid than that."
"Can you trust him?"
"What choice do I have? He's got his own reasons for wanting Makarov dead. Place ring any bells?" Price replied curtly.
Drone video feeds were soon uploaded
"Incoming Transmission. Complete - Run Drone Simulation."
"Aye. We ran drones over a suspect castle back in Zakhaev's day, but we never got wind of our targets visiting the area."
Price looked on. "What am I up against?" He asked as he analyzed the Castle in the video feed.
"The place is a fortress. Only one way in or out, unless you've learnt to fly." Mac stated security office and a command center were highlighted. "Security office on the far side of the compound, and a command center north of that. Both were heavily guarded. If Makarov's there, he'll be in that control room."
Price sketched up an equipment list, which he sent to Baseplate: helmet-mounted AN/AVS-6 vision goggles, standard issue parachute, C4 plastic explosive, frag grenades, MP5, P99.
Mac was quiet for a moment. "What's this you're sending me?"
Price smirked. "Equipment list."
"That's a lot of hardware, John. What'd you plan on doin'?"
Price looked at the video feed. "What you taught me to do. Kill em all."
["Stronghold"]
[October 12th – 22:48:12]
[Task Force 141 - Disavowed]
[Prague, Czech Republic]
Price, Zero and Yuri jumped out of Nikolai's Antonov, gliding with parachutes towards the castle in Prague. Using night vision goggles, they guided themselves to an open area and Price lit up the two guards. As they landed, their parachutes were detached, and they took out their MP5 Suppressed Red Dot Sight.
Zero looked back at Yuri, face blank, unreadable. "Keep up or we leave you behind."
They started their way through the castle grounds, Price spotting two guards with flashlights. He pointed at the ground, then the small wall. "Get down. Get caught in those lights and we're done before we've started."
The two guards patrol past them, oblivious to the three. "Move." Zero whispered.
They moved on behind another two guards and went down behind another wall.
"Wait..." Price held up his hand.
The guards passed, talking amongst themselves.
Price got up, looking around. "This way. Now."
Yuri stopped for a moment, looking around the perimeter. "You're fallin' behind, Yuri." Came the sharp, scornful voice of Zero. Yuri quickly caught up, looking around.
They moved on down to the edge of the courtyard, the area filled with vehicles and patrols.
Price crouched for a moment, looking at the two. "When we're down there, you move when I move. Do as I do. Understand?" he declared, seeing them nod. "Let's go." He said, leading on.
They moved on down and hid behind a truck, a single patrol ahead.
Price held up his fist. "Hold... Only shoot at what you can kill." He said as they snuck behind the guard. "Go. Under the trucks."
They went prone and crawled under the trucks, sneaking past several patrols. "Wait." Zero stopped as she turned over, planting a C4 Charge under the truck.
Price smirked. "Nice. We'll plant C4 to cover our escape. We'll burn this place down if we have to." Price nodded
They came out from under the truck and hid behind a jeep, a another single patrol just in front of them.
"Take him out, but don't get caught in that spotlight." Zero nodded at Yuri.
Yuri nodded as snuck up from behind and slit the guard's throat, the man gurgling on his blood as he drug the body and his it under a nearby truck.
Price looked up, watching the spotlight. "Wait for it..." He said, pointing up. The tower's searchlight moved across the courtyard, giving them their window.
"Now!" Zero whispered as they roadie ran across the grass. "Over here." she waved, pointing to a bunch of guards standing on a platform, talking. They went prone again and crawled under it. One of the guards held a flashlight, which he pointed down, the bright light shining through the platform.
Zero held up her hand. "Stop. Don't move." She whispered, watching the platform.
After a moment, the light passes as the guard move on..
"Whew... Alright. C'mon. Plant C4 on the platform." Zero said as Price moved on infront.
Yuri placed a C4 charge under the platform, crawling after them.
Price stopped just by the edge of the platform, a guard standing just above them. "Easy..."
The guard jumped off the platform and walks away after he tossed a cigarette.
"Clear." Zero nodded.
Price glanced around, nodding. "Go."
They crawled out from under the platform and quietly moved across the cleared area, hiding behind a few crates.
Yuri looked around, nodding. "We're good."
"Keep moving. There's the security office. C'mon." Price nodded his assent. They come to the door of the security office, Price looking to Zero.
"I'll handle this." She unslung her Suppressed M1014, switching off the safety and knocked on the door. The guard opened it and Zero stuck the silenced end between his jaw, sending a slug out the back of the first guard's skull and killing another before she shot the other two inside in quick succession. "Clear." She whispered as they stepped in.
Price looked at the security feed, cursing. "They've got cameras outside the command center. Both sides – here, and here. Eh, well, we'll just have to knock on the door." He then grabbed a dead guard's hand up to the number pad and opened the door. "Cheers."
The door opened, the trio moving down the stairs to the dungeons.
"Quiet... Night-vision on. I'll take care of the lights." Zero said, slapping her goggles down as they stacked up by the entrance. "Ready?" She asked as she knifed the fuse box and the lights burned out.
"Weapons free!" Price ordered as Yuri took out the first guards.
Price smirked at the swift moving. "Sweep through this area fast. They won't know how few we are in the dark."
Yuri and Zero moved through the dungeons and silently crossed out the guards. At the hall, a guard tossed a flare, lighting up the room and flaring up the night-vision.
"Ow! Fuck! They're using flares! Take your night-vision off. We'll do this the old way." Zero slapped her night vision up, using her shotgun in the hall to clean out the Russians in the halls.
Once they cleared the dungeons, Price looking to Yuri. "You're on point. Go."
They moved to the next room, where a Russian attempted to use a prisoner as a shield. It didn't work well as Yuri killed the guard with a well placed Headshot. They kept moving through the castle until they came to a door that leads back outside.
"Well.. We have about ten minutes until they find their dead. Let's get going, eh?" Price smiled as he opened the door and moved out, rain pouring. They climbed up the construction ladders, seeing areas that needed work. "This bridge is the only way in or out of the base. Plant some C4 on the column."
Yuri looked for a good place to put it, the process taking a minute as they waited.
"Plant the damn C4, Yuri. Hurry."
Yuri sighed at Zero's angry tone, but planted a C4 charge on the bridge column. They began to move, checking their surroundings, as the me to a narrow plank and practically tight-roped across.
"This whole thing looks like it's about to collapse...so take it slow." Price looked to his companions as he kept his back to the wall.
Zero's foot slipped, the Loyalist Bug leaning to compensate the sudden change, but nearly falling completely over. That was when she saw a tattooed arm shoot infront of her, keeping her steady.
"I got you, ребенок." Yuri smiled as he nodded. The woman nodded back, a slight smile on her face as they crossed behind Price
They continued moving on the bridge, up another ladder, and up a flight of stairs, encountering no one as they did. "Hold on... Change of plan. The control center is just above us. Looks like we won't have to shoot our way in." Price spoke as he spotted a line of cables leading into a wall and pointed it, smirking.
Zero pulled out a line of det-cord, making a hole about the size for Price and Yuri to get through. "That's certainly big enough for you fat asses to squeeze through." She joked as she finished placing the charge and gets to a wall.
Price shook his head, chuckling. "The thunder will hide the sound of the blast. Wait for my signal." He gave Yuri a nod, the Russian man chuckling slightly. He pulled out the detonator, Price and Zero waiting for the thunder. The lightning flared angrily, and soon after, thunder boomed across the land as Price signals.
"Blow it."
Yuri pressed the clicker, the wall charge exploding and demolishing the area made by the woman. "Dusty." Said the man as they moved in, noticing logs holding together between two walls.
"Heh heh...C'mon. Think you boys can keep up with me?" Zero giggled as she placed her weapons on her back, quickly scaling the logs and wall with ease.
They looked at one another, sighing as they began climb the logs up the walls and come to a boarded hole that opened into the control room. Zero held her hand out, palm down and slowly rose it from her position. The two men slowly rose to see what the woman saw, a barely audible growl escaping Price.
The guards inside were watching a live video feed of Russian President Vorshevsky held hostage by Makarov.
President Vorshevsky was beaten, but nobody could mistake the fire in his eyes. This was the president Zero looked up to, who she was really fighting for. "For the last... time...I will not bow...to the demands...of terrorist thugs! I will die before I surrender the nuclear launch codes." He spoke in Russian.
Zero saw the man who took everything from her. "Makarov." She whispered.
Makarov was on screen, slowly circling the President. "I see... This is what we are dealing with, brothers. A stubborn old man, hopelessly out of step with the changing world. You too, will change."
A guard walked in, a slightly worried look on his face. "Sir, still no response from the security room."
Alexi, someone Yuri knew, nodded. "Get down there. Find out what's going on."
"Alexi, has your Intel been confirmed?" Makarov asked, looking on.
Alexi nodded, smirking. "Yes sir. Our men are already on their way to Berlin."
Makarov turned to Vorshevsky, his own smirk forming. "Are you listening?"
"The daughter is there. We will have her in a matter of hours." Alexis stated. The President begins to struggle, fearing his daughter's fate.
Makarov turned to them, nodding. "Keep me updated." He ordered as the feed shut off.
Zero looked to the men, sighing. "Time to go." She spoke before an alarm sounded, prompting her to look around.
"They must have found the bodies. This should buy us some time." Price said as he and Yuri pulled out frag grenades, pulled the pins, and tossed them into the control room.
A guard looked down, eyes wide. "Граната!"
"Down! Now!" Price warned as he nudged his companions, all three sliding down the walls and landing on the bottom as the grenades explode, shell shocking them. The impact knocked down a wall into the kitchen, both Zero and Yuri pulling out their MP5s and sending rounds at the hostiles, Yuri's burst hitting a stove and burning one of the hostiles.
Price helped both of them up, yelling. "On your feet! We are leaving!"
They engaged hostiles and move through the kitchen.
Zero tapped her comm. "Nikolai, the daughter is in Berlin! Makarov has men on their way!"
"'ll contact Sandman
"Vorshevsky will break if they threaten the girl!" Price warned as they continued to devastate the defenders.
"Da, Captain Price. I won't let you down!"
They moved through the cellar and back up outside, the familiar clatter of a grenade landing in front of them.
"Flash-" Zero started as Yuri knocked her back, a flashbang going off, but Yuri still managed to take out hostiles.
Price got Zero up on her feet. "Keep moving!" He smiled.
"Left side!" Yuri called.
They went up the stairs and into the next floor inside the building, engage more hostiles inside.
"Don't slow down now! Sort 'em out!"
They quickly eliminated the hostiles in the room and moved on to an office room, Zero throwing her now empty MP5 before taking up a SCAR-L EO-Tech Holographic and a fore grip, checking the magazine, before looting the body of five more.
Price pushed on up. "Through here, On me!"
They cleared the office and pushed outside. "RPGs!" Yuri called as they split up, quickly moving through the courtyard and crossing out more hostiles. An Mi-8 arrived, troops rappelling down into the yard. The trio swiftly dispatched them all.
Price looked around as he moved, waving. "Stay with me, you two."
They moved through another part of the building and outside again. On the bridge are a group of infantry and a BTR were trying to get across, slowly but surely.
Zero grinned. "They're just in time. Hit it
Yuri took out the detonator, clicking it. "Das Vidanya!"
The C4 on the bridge detonated and the BTR fell off the bridge and into the river, exploding.
"Move!" Price ordered.
They came to a window above the bridge, looking around. "Jump." Zero said, looking to Yuri. "Go!"
Yuri sighed, jumping out of the window and safely landing on the truck below, Price and Zero following. They crossed the bridge and took cover, engaging hostiles and a BTR at the courtyard.
Price cursed. "That BTR is blocking our way out!" He looked around, grinning as he pointed. "On me!"
They sprinted across, avoiding the enemy fire and leapt in a jeep and Price began to drive, pulling out his detonator. "Detonating C4! Now!" He clicked it.
The C4 planted all around the courtyard exploded, killing and disorienting the Inner Circle troops, allowing them to break out of the gates and escape. As Price drove, he neared the side edge of the cliff road.
"Oh Shit! Hold on!" Zero cried as she heard BTR cannon fire hit the jeep and the engine bursting into flames.
Price cursed. "Hope you're still carrying your reserve! Get your chute ready!"
Price past the BTRs and drove off the cliff. They jump out of the jeep and deployed their reserve chutes just as the jeep crashed and exploded below them.
"Nikolai, get us out of here." Price commed, guiding his chute.
Nikolai replied quickly. "Roger. I'm on the way."
They glid safely across the river, landing on the bank and dropping their chutes, and retreating into the cover of darkness.
Zero leaned on a tree, looking between the two. "That was fun."
Price chuckled. "Welcome to the 141, lass."
"I can officially say that I jumped off a jeep and lived." Yuri grinned.
Zero waved. "That ain't nothin'.. Should have seen what we did back in Anaaba. That was my fault though."
"What happened?"
"I, uh.." Zero rubbed her neck. "I kinda drove an F-250 with about a hundred or so pounds of C4 and PE4 into a building and it detonated.. I killed all the guards, but.. That was my favorite truck."
Price patted her beanie covered head. "Because you were compensating for that shortness of yours. How'd a muppet like you pass selection anyway?"
"Wasn't easy. But I had the skills, so, they took me anyway." Zero smiled, swatting Price's hand.
"Let's go home." The Captain said, leading them to their extraction point.
I think this one was shorter than most, but full of action. Yes, I do like the SCAR-L, but I'd prefer the Black Ops 2 SCAR H.
Also, I'll have two Polls up, so check my Profile for them.
Until Next Time, Stay Frosty. Wolf, out.
