Sadly, we are reaching the end.. *teardrop.. Its been so fun writing on this, and hopefully, I will write a Sequel. Check out my Poll, because I have one more chapter for THWST

Down with Makarov!

The TV news showed the United States and Russia had finally negotiated peace at the White House, which was still under repairs from the invasion months earlier.

"We cross now to the Rose Garden where the President is holding a press conference with Russian Premier, Vorshevsky, to formally announce an end to the hostilities."

Images of the New York Harbor were shown with damaged and sunken ships, the Statue of Liberty in the background standing Proud.

"On this historic day, the representatives of two great nations stand before you united..." The President declared

Images of Hamburg and Berlin were shown after the Russian invasion.

The phone rang loudly, Zero answering it.

'I got a number for you to trace. It's Makarov's.'

"Thanks, Rae." Zero said as it was sent to her PDA.

'Be careful. Good hunting.'

Zero tapped at her PDA, looking at the News. With the war over, they had one last loose end to tie up.

"There's a simplicity to war. Attacking is the only secret. Dare, and the world yields." Price said quietly, looking at the T.V

"...a new chapter in which we pursue peace..."

Volk's and Waraabe's pictures were crossed out by Yuri, but Makarov still remained the primary target.

Price looked to Yuri and Zero. "How quickly they forget that all it takes to change the course of history – is the will of a single man."

"...our very existence..."

As Price made a phone call, he linked and crossed out on the map locations and operations where Makarov was involved, not found, or escaped from: India, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Prague, and Siberia.

Makarov answered. "Who is this?"

Price looked at Zero, who took the phone. "Suka, kto khochet golovu na piku. I'm coming for you, Makarov."

"Haven't you heard, Liv. They say the war is over."

Zero smirked. "My war ends with you."

"Like it ended for Reaper? Tell me, Liv . How long did it take him to die?"

Reaper's belongings hung next to the Siberia part of the map with a picture of Alena. Price finally circled Makarov's location: Hotel Oasis at the Arabian Peninsula.

Zero hissed. "Less than how long your death will take."

Makarov chuckled. "I've destroyed your world piece by piece. It's only a matter of time until I find you, Price, MacTavish, and your lover. Then, I'll end you as well."

She turned to Price and Yuri. "You won't have to look far..." Zero hung up.

[Task Force 141, Skeleton Crüe- Re-Instated ]

[Arabian Peninsula]

Price, Zero, and Yuri sat inside a truck placing on Juggernaut armor. They were preparing to assault Hotel Oasis to find and kill Makarov.

"Step out of the vehicle!" A security guard yelled.

Yuri looked to the two, rolling his neck. "You sure this armor will protect us?"

"We're going to open fire!" The guard yelled again.

Zero looked to the twin AA-12s at her feet, atleast 80 rounds in the modified drums. "No. It'll buy us time. Nikolai, are you patched into their system?"

"Working on it. My Arabic's a little rusty." Nikolai said, sounding strained.

With a mighty yell, the Security Guard turned to his men. "Fire!"

Bullets impacted the truck's doors, Yuri looking up at Price. "Looks like they know we're here."

Nikolai uploaded a video feed showing Makarov inside the hotel's atrium to the trio's helmets. "I've tapped into their security feed. Makarov's in the atrium on the top floor."

Price looked at his companions. "This is it. Makarov doesn't leave here alive." he said as he picked up his PKP Pecheneg Red Dot Sight and locked it ready. "Get ready."

Yuri put on his helmet and taps ready.

Zero placed her own helmet on, picking up her's and Wolf's AA-12. "This is for The Ones we lost. For Reaper. Wolf. Micro."

"And For Soap." Came the Scotsman's voice. "If you three die, I'm coming to kick all your Arses! Hang that rat bastard for what he has done."

That earned a chuckle from them all.

Yuri picked up his MK46 locked it ready as Zero burst out of the truck, bullets thumping her armor as she placed the two AAs at her hips. "Eat this shit." She muttered as the spread of the shot shells, plus the rapid fire of the guns, was shredding all in her path. Yuri and Price opened fire at Makarov's mercenaries on the road, helping Zero as they slowly moved toward the hotel.

"We've got their attention. Second wave of responders will be coming any moment." Price warned.

A mercenary ran up to Yuri, but he beat him down mercilessly and shot him before two SUVs screeched into the road.

Price smirked, turning his fire. "Here they come, right on schedule. Shoot the cars, Zero."

Zero turned her shotguns to the cars, devastating them and wreaking causing havoc on the mercenaries. The mercenaries poured fire at them, mainly Zero, but the armor protected them from small caliber bullet damage.

"Makarov's got a small army in there!"

Price shook his head. "It won't help him. Take control of the lifts so he can't escape."

"I'm on it." Nikolai replied.

They moved up, getting closer to the turnaround at the base of the hotel. More SUVs dropped off more mercenaries, but were cut down by Zero's weapons. "Don't let up!"

Yuri looked up, seeing mercenaries armed with RPGs show up on the second floor and rain down rocket fire. "Second Floor, RPG's!" He warned, but Price took out the RPGs and they continued to plow their way through to the entrance.

Civilians poured out of the lobby as the three approached. "Civies. Watch your fire." Zero said.

"Nikolai, where's Makarov?" Price inquired.

Another video feed of Makarov is shown. "Still in the atrium, but he's on the move!"

"Don't lose him! We're almost there!" Zero called as they rushed on to the hotel lobby, Mercenaries moving down the escalators.

Yuri aimed up and let loose a burst. "Hostiles by the escalator!"

Price and Yuri took out the mercenaries on the left and moved up the escalators, Zero taking the right and firing her own AA while she let Wolf's drop at the small potted tree. It finally ran dry, prompting her to drop her now empty AA and swap to her L86 and let loose another barrage.

"Up the escalator! Nikolai, we need control of those lifts!" Price called.

Nikolai tapped furiously enough that it could be heard. "I've almost got it!"

"Push forward!" Yuri yelled as they went up to the second floor and cleared out more mercenaries.

"Okay, I've got control of the elevators. Sending them down to your floor."

They continued to move forwards, towards the elevators. "The lift's up ahead!"

As civilians ran away from the lifts, Price and Yuri board the elevator on the right, Zero on the left, which began to take them up the atrium. Nikolai showed them another video feed, showing Makarov with a group of hostiles. "Makarov's moved to the restaurant, same floor! He's got a large security detail with him."

Price looked over at Zero, nodding. "What kind of opposition is waiting for us?"

"Forty-plus foot mobiles! SMGs and Assault Rifles."

Zero chuckled. "Cake Walk!"

Helicopters outside buzzed around, gaining their attention. "Enemy choppers closing on your position."

Price watched closely. "One is heading for the roof, probably going for Makarov." A hostile Little Bird below them flew up and fired its guns at them, breaking the glass all over them. "Shoot it down!" The two fired at the Little Bird, the Little Bird leveling with them. "Keep firing!"

The Little Bird fires its rockets but misses, and then, suddenly, the heli's rotor was ripped by a bullet.

Yuri nudged Price. "Good shot!"

"That wasn't me." He said, basking in the victory.

Unfortunately, the Little Bird veered towards their lift. "Look out!" Came Zero's voice as the chopper collided with the elevator, slamming Price to the floor. Flames engulfed their armor, Yuri quickly strips off his pads and helmet. "Our armor's shredded!" He said while helping Price out of his armor, looking back at Zero, who had to take hers off due to it's smoldering.

She re-zipped her vest, her tattooed arms streaked with black. "Come on!"

The elevator beneath her lover and Price shook again. "This won't hold much longer!" Price warned.

Thinking on her feet, she bashed in the window and kicked the glass away. "Jump for it!" She called. The two jumped across to Zero just as the burning lift fell, Price missing by an inch and grabbing the floor, holding on to the lift and pulling himself up. He unslung his M4A1 Grenadier w/ ACOG Scope, locking it ready while the lift continued to bring them up to the top floor.

"Makarov's chopper just touched down! He's heading there now!"

Zero hissed. "He's not getting away!" She locked her TAR-21 ready, aimed at the door with her Holographic crosshairs at the ready.

"Be careful, they're setting up barricades!"

The lift's floor counter counted up from 27 to T, the doors opening just as Yuri tosses a frag, Zero spraying fire to gain their attention. "Frag out!"

The grenade exploded, taking down multiple targets and they lunged out of the elevator, taking cover, but moving at the same time.

"Watch yourself, you two. Your armor's gone!" Price warned

Nikolai was with them, giving them heads up. "Multiple threats to your right."

"Keep pressing! We've almost got him!" Zero yelled as she turned right, taking out the hostiles before they made their way through the atrium and engaged Makarov's mercenaries.

Price launched an M203 round, killing a few and forcing a couple out of the windows. "We can't let him escape!"

"You're almost at the restaurant!" Advised Nikolai

Zero was in her zone, reloading quickly. "Keep pushing forward!"

They worked around the atrium, clearing the area of hostiles and coming up to the restaurant. "Restaurant's this way!" Yuri said.

"He's still there! You've almost got him!"

"Keep fucking running!" Zero yelled as they entered the restaurant.

Price saw Makarov running for a stairway, pointing. "There he is!"

The second Little Bird flew just outside the restaurant windows.

"Chopper!" Yuri warned as they tried to move across the restaurant. "Oh, Fuck, Rockets!"

The Little Bird fired at the restaurant floor, blowing out the columns, causing the floor to tilt. Everything began to tip over and slide out of the building, Price tumbling before he grabbed hold of a steel reinforcement pole sticking out of the floor and hangs on, catching Zero's arm as she and his weapon fell out of the building. "You're faster, Zero. Go get that Limey bastard. I'm right behind you." He swung her over, the woman grabbing ahold of the concrete.

As she got up, the helicopter hovered above them, about to land on the roof. Just as she began to run, she saw Yuri, wounded, impaled by a piece of rebar and bleeding, struggling to pull himself off.

"Yuri..." She whimpered, tears threatening to fall. Yuri shook his head.

"Leave me! Don't let him get away, I'll be fine!" He grinned.

Price got back on his feet and ran up to Yuri. "Go, Liv!"

"He's heading to the roof!"

Zero turned, running up piles of rubble and up the stairs to a doorway.

"He's dead ahead. Keep running!"

She reached the helipad on the roof, Makarov looking back as he was boarding the chopper beginning to take off.

"Run!" Came Nikolai's voice as the woman sprinted towards the ascending helicopter, jumping off the edge of the building and grasping the landing skid. As she climbed up to the cockpit, the pilot attempted to kick her, only for it to miss and allowing Zero to slug him, grabbing his foot and throwing him out. She climbed into the cockpit, the co-pilot taking out his pistol, but his brains exploded on the bubble window, causing the pistol shot to hit the control panels.

She grabbed the joystick and yanked it, moving it side to side but it was not responding. The helicopter spun wildly out of control and Zero closed her eyes as it crashes onto the roof of the hotel.

...

A few seconds later, she opened her eyes, seeing a cracked, bloody reflection on the cracked glass of the roof, looking at the hotel below. Zero looked up and saw the crashed and burning helicopter, and out of the wreck, came Makarov, coughing and stumbling. Her head snapped forward to a Desert Eagle in front of her and she tried to scramble to retrieve it. Makarov also moved towards the pistol, but stumbled from his injuries, coughing some blood.

Zero reaches the pistol, but Makarov managed to get up, stomp on her hand, breaking her middle finger and thumb, and take the pistol. He stood back up, leveling it at her as she looked up.

Makarov spat blood at her. "Goodbye, Olivia."

Before Makarov could pull the trigger, he is shot on his left shoulder by Yuri, Price moving to take out his own sidearm. Makarov turned, firing two shots at Yuri, one striking his left arm, right shoulder, and had aimed for Price's heas, but in a flash and spray of blood, Makarov's arm was blown clean off and Price was hit above the knee.

With the given time, Zero lunged off the ground at Makarov, tackling him to the floor, and punching him in the face. Spotting a cord laying on the glass, she grabbed it and wrapped it around Makarov's neck. With the terrorist struggling a bit more with his one broken hand, she then hooked the cord around into a noose.

Stumbling back, she fell to her knees as Makarov stood up, trying in vain to remove the noose. "Это где ты, чертов ублюдок умру, ты подонок!" With one final push, she tackled Makarov through the glass, breaking it, and they fell into the hotel, Zero screaming in anger.

As she landed on the atrium floor, the cord tightened and hung Makarov, instantly choking him to death.

Exhausted, but triumphant, Liv crawled away from the edge and looked at Makarov's hanging corpse in victory, grinning. "Fuck. You.." She rose up her middle finger. Price and Yuri limped down after a few moments, taking place beside her.

"It's done, eh?" Price looked over at the beaten, yet smiling Zero. He took out a couple cigars and a lighter, trying to strike it but it doesn't light. "Bugger." He sighed.

Yuri looped his good arm around Zero, keeping the wound on his left side pressurized. "You certainly know how to kill a man."

Price struck it again, same result. "Damnit." He struck it a third time and it finally lit , giving him a chance to light his and Zero's cigar. As sirens wailed in the distance, he puffed his cigar and gave Zero hers.

They sat in silence for a long while, watching the cord finally stop moving and Makarov's body cease it's swinging.

"I'm ready for a fucking retirement.." Zero said, coughing.

Price just grinned. "We can't retire.."

"We're too badass for that..." Came an American southerner accent, causing them to turn their heads.

It was Wolf, holding an M98 Bravo on his right shoulder and a cigar between his teeth. "Our friends are cleaning up.. I'm here to get you three some medical attention."

"You nutter.. I thought you were dead." Price chuckled, helping the wounded Yuri to stand.

Wolf helped Zero stand, shaking his head. "Can't kill what is already dead." He smirked. "I wasn't done saving my Pack."

"Whatever you say, Captain America. Remember what you said when we came to you?"

Wolf shook his head as they got on one of the working Elevators. "Not really."

"History is written by the victor.. And we just wrote history." Price smiled.

Wolf chuckled. "Yeah? I'd say we know the truth to all this."

"Like I said. History is written by the Victor." Price chuckled.

"And we are Victorious." Zero smiled.

They managed to find a working lift, all four of them climbing in and heading back to the lobby. Wolf smiled, waving at the medics to come over and help them, multiple stretchers rolling over broken glass to the quartet. They laid Zero, Yuri and Price on them, the medics working to stabilize the now war-heros.

"Make sure they get the best treatment you have. They just saved everyone from the terrorist, Makarov." Wolf said in Arabic, walking with them out to the Ambulances.

Zero looked over at Yuri, a smile on her face. "Я люблю тебя, Юрий." She reached over, squeezing his hand.

In return, a peaceful smile etched Yuri's face. "Я тоже тебя люблю, Лив"

Price shook his head, flicking his Cigar. "I'm fine, Bugger Off!" Price said half-hearted lay as they tried to place an Oxygen mask on the captain.

After the three were loaded up, Wolf nodded, the Ambulances taking off to get them to the hospital. A CIA Agent came up to the Captain. "Captain Desmend Volket, yes?"

"Aye.. You want to see the Body.." Wolf nodded at the man, waving him on as the Arabian Police flanked them.

I will have an Explanation next chapter, so, check out my poll! I would love some reviews and feedback.
