"The solution is…. To take his strange grease and oil blood, and turn it into some kind of antidote by removing the human parts of it!"
Both Michael and KITT just stared at her.
"Bonnie. I am the smartest car in the world and even I don't understand what you just said."
"Well I tried to put it in simple terms, but it wasn't as simple as I wanted it to be."
Michael sighed. "Well, how long will it take to make this antidote?"
Bonnie looked nervous."A couple of months…."
"A COUPLE OF MONTHS!?" Michael yelled.
"Y-Yes! I'm sorry! But that's how long it'll take!"
KITT slowly took Bonnie into his hands and pulled her close for some sort of hug.
"Thank you, Bonnie." Suddenly, he kissed her, well, attempted to kiss her, on the forehead. It made her blush.
"KITT! You're such a flatterer!" Bonnie giggled like a schoolgirl.
"I am not a flatterer. I am a gentleman. Unlike some people..."
"Hey!"
"With some exceptions..." KITT grinned.
"Well...I better get back. I have to work hard to help KITT." Bonnie walked away.
3 months passed. The days became routine. If Michael wasn't on an assignment, he and KITT would talk or listen to music, which they would constantly fight over.
"What's wrong with 'Crazy Train!?'"
"It's nothing but guitar rifts and yelling that's branded as singing!"
"And opera is just a bunch of people blasting high notes!"
"Take that back!"
"Make me!"
"With pleasure!" KITT trapped Michael under his hand and used the other to very carefully change the radio station to a classical music station. "Ah, much better."
"I'm gonna get you one day..."
"I'd like to see you try..."
"Hi, boys…" Bonnie walked in, looking exhausted.
"Bonnie? What's wrong?" Michael asked.
"It's nothing. I've just had a lot of work these past few months. I have to juggle my regular work and the concoction to turn KITT back into a car."
"Bonnie, I think you need rest."
"No….I'm fine...really..." Bonnie insisted.
"No. Come here." Michael pulled Bonnie into KITT's hands, then put a blanket on her.
"Michael…."
"Not another word." Michael hugged her, then KITT wrapped his fingers around both of them.
"Close your eyes, Bonnie."
Bonnie rolled her eyes then closed them. She slept for over 12 hours. When she awoke, she found both Michael and KITT asleep. Before she left the room, she kissed both of them on the cheek.
A few weeks later, Bonnie ran in with a very large syringe.
"Gaaaah! What is that!?" Michael got nervous.
"It's a syringe full of the antidote. KITT?"
"Of course, Bonnie." KITT plopped his arm in front of Bonnie. She injected the antidote into him while Michael watched.
"Now we wait. Now I have to get back to work." Bonnie left the room.
"I will say, Michael, I'll miss this form. But it will be good to become a car, again."
"Yeah. I don't we've ever laughed so hard before."
"I never laughed at all until this happened."
"It's been nice, hasn't it?"
"Very."
"How about a little classical music, huh?"
"I'm sorry, did I just hear you right?"
Michael turned on the radio to the classical station. KITT grinned ear to ear and listened for hours and hours. Eventually both he and Michael fell asleep.
