Author's Notes:

Hey everyone! I hope your ready for a descent amount of development. In this chapter you will begin to acquire an understanding of Naruto's abilities and history. It will also gleam as to how he may respond and act in the future. Additionally, you may discover a few hints as to what may transpire next in the story.

Side Note:

So, I'm not sure as to why. But, for some reason I can't respond to a few reviewers. I can't tell as to why its doing it, but I've posted my responses below. As for the guest, if you use an account. I should be able to directly respond without fear of spoiling others.

Guest: I would like to answer your question concerning Chakra and Magic, but I believe that this chapter will give you an idea as to their relationship. If not, then the next will flesh it out concisely.

A Reader: When it concerns Salem, that is something for further down the road. But, for the grim, he is essentially was a beacon of energy and negative emotion in the forest. As for Naruto, he is not entirely canon, and you will see a glimmer of his past in this chapter. Though, it may provide you with more questions then answers.

Black Saber: I'm happy that you liked the chapter, and hopefully it's the same with this one. As for Kurama, his fate will be revealed in the in a few chapters. As for relationships, I have a few ideas. But, I'm not entirely sure about them. Nothing is set in stone. However, I can tell you their are going to be quite a few curve balls that I have yet to see in any other crossover fic.

Now... On to the story!

Within a small office, lay stacks of papers partially obstructing its windows and walls.

Sat amongst the heaps, Naruto scribbles some notes into a small notebook. Various kanji and mathematical formulas lay scrawled within. On top of his thigh rests an open children's book.

A few rays penetrate the panes to expose his honeyed and unblemished skin. Atop his head, blonde hairs have sprouted into a crown of fuzz.

His eyes glance down to the vibrant story contained within the picture book. Its pages depict the struggle of a team of four hunters.

The defenders were placed just before a castle. A pack of bipedal wolves encroaches from a dark forest.

His eyes trail the large words with only minor hesitation here and there. He grumbles to himself and returns to his little journal.

After a few moments of thought, Naruto jots down a few more numbers into the parchment. This proceeds till his eyes shift to the ticking clock on the wall.

"Hm. It should be enough." He mutters to himself as he looks out the window.

Outside the tranquil room, a flurry of steps precedes the opening of the office's door. The new arrival brings Naruto to a halt mid-rise. With a light grunt, the teen readjusts himself within his chair.

Oobleck shuts the door behind him with his foot and zips over to his cluttered desk. Naruto glances up from his book and observes as the man reclaims his seat.

The professor then hands him a mug of steaming liquid. Taking hold of it, he pays little mind to Oobleck while the man devours a few generous gulps from his cup.

"Ah. What a brew." He murmurs under his breath. Oobleck peers up from his cup and scrutinizes as his charge tentatively sips at his own warm beverage. "I hope it's to your liking. Hm. Tea may not be my specialty, but I do believe that I've used my understanding of Mistralan culture to good use. If I do say so myself."

"It's fine," Naruto states offhandedly. His eyes never leave the collection of notes. The boy's fingers deftly flip another page in the book.

Placing his mug down, Oobleck absentmindedly retrieves a few folders from a pile atop his desk. After a few moments of examination, he looks back up to the fellow before him.

"Hm. What are you doing there?" The professor questions Naruto. The teen's forefinger traces an equation before he marks a list of kanji below it.

"It's. Uh. It's math." He affirms with a nod to himself. Oobleck quirks his lip at the response and puts down his folder.

"Oh. I wasn't aware you were quite the enthusiast of arithmetic." Despite the passion in his voice, Naruto merely proceeds in his work. Occasionally, he would glance out of the window. "Your not one of many words, are you?"

Naruto pauses in his writing and peripherally looks to the man. "Depends. But. The uh. The language. It's Different. Difficult." Oobleck nods and repositions his glasses.

"Ah, yes. It can be quite challenging at times. But, you've improved considerably since we've begun. Just look at you. A few weeks, and you're nearly speaking in full sentences."

Naruto shrugs at the remark and crosses his arms around his chest. Leaning back, he glances out the window once more. "It doesn't matter. Soon. Hm. Soon. This'll be just a memory."

A small frown affixed itself onto the professor's visage. "I see." He mumbles under his breath. The man quickly brings up his cup for another swig.

After a few taps on to his wooden desk, the professor gestures to the book nestled on his lap. "Hm. Say, what'd you think of your latest assignment?"

Naruto briefly looks down and reflects on the text. His eyes trail back down to the team valiantly holding back the Grimm. He merely shrugs at the question. "Same as the last." The man taps a finger to his chin.

"Hm. I see. Then perhaps it's time that we move you on to something of a greater level. Yes? What if we start you on a higher elementary grade? I do believe that my last order of elementary literature arrived a few nights ago."

"Thanks, but no." Naruto asserts as he stands up from his chair.

"No? B-But-." The professor stutters as he makes to rise as well.

"I'm fine. Oobleck. Thanks for everything. But. Uh. There's no need. I have to go. You know. Home. My tribe. As you say." The man's shoulders seem to deflate at the response. His fingers twiddle with the mug within his hands.

"Oh, I see. Are you sure? Uh. What if we-." He pauses at Naruto's raised hand.

"I have a duty to them. Besides, they should be done by now." The teen muses the final part, quietly to himself.

Oobleck cocks his head and readjusts his spectacles. "Pardon me, but what was that last part?"

Disregarding the question, he shifts his eyes back to the wall. Looking up to the clock, Naruto slides his book's ribbon to a particular page and snaps it closed. The booklet then seemingly vanishes from within his palm.

"It's time, Oobleck. I've stayed long enough." Naruto finishes his tea with a few liberal gulps and dips his head to the man.

"Wh-Whoa, hold on there." Oobleck stammers on. Despite his attempt to converse with the teen, Naruto proceeds unobstructed to the door.

He steps over to the door and halts when he grabs the knob. "Hm. For what its worth. Thanks for the company."

He turns once more to the dumbfounded man and dips his head. "Good-bye. Oobleck."

"W-Wait! Your leaving? As in right now?" The teen didn't bother to acknowledge the man's inquiry and disappears past the door.

The instructor quickly dashes to the open door. "But-." Yet, the moment he turns to look out, nothing but an empty hall greets him. Only the low thrum of the building's air-conditioner welcomes him.

From within a clearing, Naruto reappears in a flicker of light. Before him sits a group of four duplicates.

He kneels beside two and examines the expansive seal formula in the center of the circle of clones.

"Have you gathered enough?" A clone to his right opens its eyes and sighs.

"It's hard to say. This Aura. It's similar, but it's not chakra?"

"Hm. Well, whatever you've got will have to do. Its already been too long." He walks around them to inspect the matrix before striding to the center of the seal formula.

The mixture of kanji and symbols form a large circular pattern inked atop of a large piece of parchment. Four tangent arrays diverge out from the seal and end before each clone.

Naruto sits inside the gap at the matrix's center. "Alright, hit me with all you've converted." The gathered of clones nod.

They each place a hand atop of a designated gap within their own lateral formulas. He grunts as the seal pulses and lights up. "Come on. Guh. I. I need more!"

Naruto opens his eyes at a cynical chuckle. "Sorry, chief. But that's all we've got."

At its words, each of the clones burst and dissolve into a cloud of vapor. Their chakra promptly is absorbed and circulates within the glowing seal.

A tetrad of holographic runic spires and rings begin to form around him. "P-Please be. En-Enough!" The seal proceeds to develop, yet they halt mid-construction.

"N-No. No. No. No!" He cries out as he begins to glow a soft gold. The seal matrix shutters and then collapses in an eruption of energy. The concussive force blasts him down and presses him into the compacted earth.

For moments on end, he merely lays there. "Huh. Heh. Huh." Naruto pants from the ground. "Damn. Fuckin, damn it!" He roars as he slams his fist into the ground.

The seal beneath him disintegrates into ash. "Fuckin Aura." He grunts out through grit teeth as he lays back on top of the burnt grass.

His eyes stare up to the alien sky. The pupil's trace the ring encircling the planet. Naruto allows for his breath to steady. As time stretches on, his surroundings begin to warp and dissolve away.

The heavens bleed from their light blue and lustrous ring to chaotically swirling clouds and an emerald sky. The lush forest around him vanishes into smooth canyons and hills of marbled scarlet rock.

Before him, a woman with three eyes soars back. Between her pale pupil-less eyes, a third vertically aligned eye lay nestled within her forehead.

Its scarlet and ringed iris throbs with power as the rings nine tomoe rotate maddeningly. A pair of large horns adorn either of her temples.

Her right arm and torso sports burns that penetrate past muscle and expose portions of bone. She snarls at the ablaze figure before her.

The woman's limb begins to mend together a new forearm and hand. "You dare stand against me! I'm a God! I-."

Naruto's radiating frame flickers before the woman. He arcs his arm around with a cupped palm. A myriad of holographic seals manifests around his hand.

The ethereal runes create and fuse bands of Katon, Futon, and Raiton chakra into a bright swirling sphere of condensed Purazuma Chakra as it coalesces and forms, a blinding ring of plasma forms around its equator.

Its edges release faint violet and yellow wisps. He rotates and brings the burning mass around towards her. In its pass, the technique effortlessly vaporizes the crest of a nearby hill.

With wide eyes, the woman's scarlet center eye pulses with power. "Rha!' She roars out in conjunction with a globular and dark mass of chakra manifesting before her.

The Gudōdama warps and converts into a gargantuan Bijudama. The swirling mass of obsidian chakra and malevolent red heart compresses into a small orb.

She then catches it within her mouth and whips her head forward. The resulting explosion of pressure forces it across the terrain towards Naruto.

"Rasendisuku!" He cries out in response. Naruto's technique catapults forward from his outstretched hand in a burst of speed. The rotating disk, with a sphere at its center, darts forth.

In the span of a millisecond, the jutsus collide between them. For the briefest of moments, the two seemingly pause at contact.

Yet, it did little to hinder the Rasendisuku's searing core from penetrating the Bijudama.

The puncture forces the dark orb to destabilize into a ring and erupt behind it. Though, the Rasengan didn't breach the jutsu unscathed as it proceeds to tumble and detonate as well.

However, its eruption maintains its forward momentum and barrels toward the woman. The maelstrom of atomized particles and energy vaporizes the landscape ahead of her.

The woman's eyes widen then squint at the burning sun bleaching the earth. A tear promptly rips into the space behind her. She quickly makes to leave and covers her face with the remainder of her arms.

Her body reemerges a few hundred yards away in a steaming mess of exposed flesh. "Grah!" The skin of her limbs and torso having been charred. The liquefied flesh steams and bleeds from the extensive trauma.

Naruto once more flashes in front of her with his arm drawn back. "Last I checked, Gods didn't bleed," Naruto mutters beneath his breath.

"N-No!" She screeches out. Another obsidian breach in space opens up before her in reflex. In addition, an ebony hued ball of chakra promptly forms between her teeth.

Naruto narrows his eyes and flickers just past the obstruction. Without a lick of hesitation, he appears before her.

"Shlikt!" The sound resonates across the warped landscape. For a brief moment, the dimension stills as Naruto's fist connects with the roof of the woman's open mouth.

She remains frozen in place, attached rigidly to his extended limb. Then for the briefest of moments, she falls limp and hangs from his outstretched arm.

A blade of scorching plasma pierces through her skull and out of her third eye. The skin, bone, and flesh surrounding the protrusion having been vaporized at contact. Her eyes, brow, and sockets render them into nothing but a smoldering vapor.

The consequence of the attack effectively skewers the Bijudama confined to the roof of her mouth.

Then in a snarl and defiant roar from Naruto's throat, his world turns white as the sphere of destructive chakra detonates.

Naruto's eyes snap open from his reverie. For a few minutes, he merely lays there. But, a low growl eventually emanates from the shadows of the treeline.

Pairs of scarlet eyes dot around him. He shifts himself up onto his haunches and releases a raspy sigh. With a grunt, he pushes himself up onto his feet.

The charred grass crunches beneath him as the ashes of the seal array scatter off.

Then a howl cuts through the meager clearing. The call elicits the pack of Beowulf's to charge toward him. Naruto snarls and evokes a guttural growl from the depths of his being.

As the first lunges at him with a swipe of its claw, he sidesteps the assault. The Nin grabs and pulls the limb past him.

His other hand is quick to ensnare the beast's snout. In a swift application of force, he snaps the creature's head around. Naruto releases the wolf and allows for it to tumble to the grassy dirt.

"Graa!" The teen shouts out as a Wakizashi materializes from a seal on his palm. He then arcs his arm around and severs the subsequent Grimm's head from its shoulders.

Lunging forward, he twists around another adversary; his blade is prompt to cleave a furrow through the Beowulf's spine. At the twitch of his ear, he ducks beneath a clawed paw that carves through the air above him.

Naruto Swivels on his heel and enters the Grimm's compromised guard. As he makes to stand, he lashes out with his free hand and secures a hold on the beast's shaggy neck.

Without breaking stride, Naruto hefts the Grimm from its feet and promptly slams it into the ground. Just as the creature makes contact with the dense earth, Naruto flexes the muscles within his forearms.

A wet pop reverberates out from its vertebrate. The act instantaneously renders the bone plated wolf limp. Its crimson eyes gradually lose their light as its fur began to dissolve to ash.

Once a few consecutive seconds have passed without incident, Naruto relaxes his stiff shoulders. He takes a moment to observe the evaporating pack of Beowulfs.

The shinobi then rises to his full stature and reserves a minute to gaze at the ringed heavens. "Huh. I need to figure this shit out."

As Naruto meanders past the treeline, he stares out to an ever-expansive ocean skyline. Whispy alabaster clouds pepper the cerulean sky.

Pressing onward even further, he gradually comes to a stop before a sheer cliff-side. Below, the crests of waves beat against the rocky coast.

A cool ocean sea breeze whispers by and ruffles his loose attire and short golden hair.

"Leaving so soon?" Ozpin's voice careens across the plateau. Naruto partially turns to discover the man standing atop a rocky rise. A small grin adorns his lips as he props himself up with his cane. "The least you could've done was said goodbye."

The teen merely turns back to look to the churning ocean. A small sigh escapes his weary lips.

"I don't belong here. My home, it calls me." The headmaster dips his head in understanding.

"I see. Well then, I suppose that I can't interest you in attending Beacon?" Naruto raises a brow at the man's proposition.

"Attend?" Stepping up beside the teem, Ozpin gestures back to the way they came.

"Right. It means to join and stay. Beacon's a combat school for others your age—hunters in training. Something, I believe, that you may have a knack for. The students, they'll be here by the week's end."

Naruto shakes his head in the negative and steps closer to the cliff's edge. The action forces a crease to form on the elder's forehead.

"Thanks. But I've stayed too long. I have a duty to my people. Not to you or anyone else." Just as Ozpin makes to speak, Naruto tenses and bends at his knees. "Good-by, Ozpin."

He states right before he dashes forth and leaps off of the ledge. "W-Wait!" Ozpin bellows as he darts forward. His feet force him to skid to stop at the brink of the cliff face and watch in a mild stupor.

The blond quickly flips and careens down to the rocky shore below. However, he deftly positions his feet underneath him and lands on top of the water.

The ocean shore burst on either side and surge away from him at contact. Yet, Naruto didn't sink into its depths or hesitate. In a flicker of speed, he charges ahead in a sprint.

The water does little to hinder his forward progress. Its surface solely ripples and splashes as his feet step upon it as if it were the solid earth.

Up at the top of the rocky bluff, Ozpin narrows his eyes at the shrinking silhouette. Then in a faint exhale, he draws out his scroll from his breast pocket.

After a few quick taps on its screen, he brings it up to his ear. "Ah, yes. Glynda. If you could do me a favor and keep an eye out for our wayward friend. It would be much appreciated. Hm." He muses out and peaks back over to the figure racing across the sea.

"Well, from what I can tell. He's headed straight for Patch." Ozpin remarks partially to himself. Then with a shake of his head, the headmaster turns around and heads to the eastern coast.

Off in the distance, the peak of Beacon's highest spire peeks over the forested hills. "I know. I know. You'll have plenty of time. Look. Just watch him, and I'll have someone take over in a few days. Alright? Hm. Okay. Thank you, Glynda." At that, he proceeds to hobble back from which he came.

End Notes:

Hey, so I hope you enjoyed chapter three.

Though, I have a question. How was the flash back? It was my first attempt at one. So, I have no clue if it worked out or not.

On another note, I hope you guys are excited for chapter four. If Patch is anything to go by, then you might have an idea as to a few people he may run into.

Additionally. I've somewhat decided to increase the size of Remnant as well as blend it with Earth. I've always felt that it was kind of small and a few of the continents seemed weird to me if that makes sense.

So, I have basically modeled the Remnant continent of Sanus to be a blend of the United Kingdom, Western Europe, and Africa. With Vale in Liverpool England, Beacon on the Isle of Man, and Patch as Ireland. So... Expect a bigger Patch.

Either way, I'm intrigued to see as to what you all think the latest chapter as well as theories or thoughts on later chapters, relationships, and etcetera.

Well, I think that's it. See you all in a week or two!
