March 28th - 2019

The day had barely begun and Harry Osborn already found himself being visited once again. The door of his cell opened with Fiers coming towards him while holding back in his right hand.

Fiers spoke, "Your friend is back in town."

"What are you planning to do about it? Harry was laid on his back, staring at the ceiling.

"... in due time. I need you to come with me, we need to speed things up."He dropped Harry's belongings onto the floor.

"Just like that?"

"The insane live here… and things here are easily set off the rails."

"What about the doctor? Will she be in any trouble?"

"She will be sent to a different unit, it's not of my interest to let the word out that Harry Osborn is free once again."

Harry sat on the edge of the bed and looked at Fiers beside him. "... then what are we waiting for?"

Spider-Man let go of the webbing and landed on the nearest edge of a building. He sat down and took his phone from the hidden pocket in his suit. "Let's see what people are saying about me." He opened the news on his phone while he waited for a police call or anything similar. He began reading the headlines.

A wild Spider-Man reappears after years.

One of them announced.

"This one is quite cool." He scrolled down the page and read the rest of the articles.

New York's vigilante is back, rescuing victims from a fire incident.

"Nice."

The old masked menace returns and again terrorizes the people from New York City.

"... The Daily Bugle back at it again." Peter sighed. "Gotta check on Gwendy."

He opened a chat box with his girlfriend.

PP: Hey Gwendy.

A couple of minutes went by and Gwen still hadn't replied so far.

PP: Gwen? Are you there? :0

PP: Heeeeeellooooooo?

GS: I'm working, Peter! I love you.

PP: Ohhh, sorry. Love you too.

GS: I'll call you back. Do you need anything?

PP: Nothing, just wanted to know how you are. Where are my kisses? xxxxx

GS: X I feel like kissing on messages is like, kinda old?

PP: They show that you love me xxxx

GS: XXXXXX

PP: Now that's better :D I'm sending you some links to the recent news about your ONE amazing partner ;)

GS: Yes, my amazing partner. I have to go now, honey.

PP: I love you xxx

GS: Love you more.

PP: Gwen?

GS: X!

Peter smiled to himself. He missed her.

"Assault in progress. Available units please head to 8th Avenue". The earphones in his ear informed.

He stood up and placed his phone back in his pocket. "Here we go!"

Spider-Man dove off the rooftop and kept falling towards the ground for a few couples of seconds. He fired a web-line to the closest building and boosted himself towards the crime's location.

It didn't take him much to arrive where he was needed. He landed on the edge of a building and searched for any signs of the thief. Eventually, a single male individual opened the grocery doors and rushed towards the alley.

Spider-Man followed the thief from above by jumping from the rooftop to spot the thief now hiding behind a green metal trash can, waiting for things to calm down.

The thief whispered to himself, "...ain't nobody here yet… I'm good."

The man stood up to check if everything was okay. He didn't notice Spider-Man right behind him, holding himself by a single biocable while hanging upside down.

I truly wonder why these bad guys never feel someone behind them? T

After a couple of seconds, Spider-Man finally greeted him from behind, "... hi."

"... what in the f-" The thief turned on his back and fell to the ground, shocked after discovering who had been standing behind him. "Spider-Man…?!"

"... it's good ol' me!" Spider-Man teased. "Did you miss me, mate?" He shook his head. "God… I really need to lose this accent."

The thief pulled his gun at him, aiming at Spider-Man's chest "I have a gun! I can shoot you...!"

I can see it's not even loaded.

Spider-Man tilted his head to the side. "Really? My girlfriend is going through that time of the month and you're now threatening me with a gun?"

"Go back! Let me walk away and I won't shoot you!" He ordered, standing on his feet.

"Okay… you have five seconds to run then. I'll count from one to five."

He can't be that dumb.

The thief quickly started to run towards the opposite direction from where Spider-Man was, hoping that he would succeed with his escape.

"Five…!" Spider-Man shouted, before firing a biocable towards the thief's feet and pulling him back towards him as the man fell to the ground and passed out. "Ouch, that ought to hurt... wow."

A few minutes later, Spider-Man knocked his hand on the store's door. "Hey!"

A short old man half opened the door. "Are you… Spider-Man? For real…?"

"The one and only. Here's your money." Spider-Man handed him the bag the thief once held under his arm. "Also, the cops should be here anytime soon, tell them that the thief is..." He turned on his back, checking if he was still in there. "... webbed to the pole would be the most accurate description."

"Thank you, Spider-Man." The old man extended his hand.

"Always a pleasure to clean the rubbish." He continued, greeting the owner before firing a web and disappearing into the buildings.

Colorado's Power Plant

The three men, all wearing dark suits, stepped out of the car that had just arrived at the power plant. They looked for any sign of Max Dillon. Eventually, one of them noticed the unsettling figure sitting on the ground while wearing a black hood that hid his face from any unwanted visitor.

"He's right there." He pointed towards the location.

They headed towards the figure, one of them held a gun behind his back, just for precaution. They approached who was supposed to be Max, the many light poles around them instantly began to flash repeatedly.

"Max Dillon?"

"...maybe." The hooded figure spoke with his weak voice. "Who are you?"

"A person of interest." He continued, "We're looking for you, Mr. Fiers, to be more precise."

"Fiers…" Max asked, still gathering what he could of his energy. "Why would I care?"

"I think you will. I can tell you that we need you… for a gathering of sorts."

"Gather? For what purpose?" He remembered what happened the last time he teamed up with someone.

"The main goal is... conquer Spider-Man, sounds appealing right?"

Max quickly looked up as soon as he heard the name Spider-Man. He revealed the weak flashing blue waves in his face. "Conquer..?"

Spider-Man...

The person who humiliated and defeated him more than once. Someone who was supposed to be at his side but once again, it was all a lie. He wouldn't allow himself to ever trust anyone again, his best friend and mother never actually cared about him, so why would he ever care for anyone again.

"What you said… are you truly sure?"

"We didn't come all this way just to mess around with you. Fiers will provide you with everything that you want. Are you in... or out?"

Max rose from the ground and closed his fists, taking a moment to examine the three men in front of him. They immediately took a step backward. He could easily deal with them.

"If you are lying… I'll make sure your family won't be able to identify your ashes."

Empire State University - Manhattan

"Come on, Peter, come on…"

Peter rushed down the hallway that led to the door of his class that had already started. He slowly opened the door, interrupting his teacher's explanation while doing so. Everyone from high above the stands looked down at him. "Erm… sorry." He whispered.

"Late again… Mr. Parker." His biochemistry teacher stated.

"Sorry, I-I… I had to catch the bus since… um, my girlfriend took the car? The traffic was very intense, I can swing but not fly, you know? I-I mean swing as… swing my hand for the bus."

His teacher was puzzled. "Last chance, Mr. Parker. Otherwise, you'll have to wait outside."

Peter nodded. "Thanks."

Peter silently climbed his way towards his seat while being careful to not interrupt the explanation once again. He sat down and grabbed the books from his backpack, being careful enough to not allow anyone to spot his suit.

Gwen should be leaving her work anytime soon.

Some mere hours away from her and it seemed like centuries to him. His girlfriend had him crossed around her finger, he knew that very well.

He recalled what Aunt May had said to him, about marrying Gwen. He wanted to ask her sooner or later, sooner if he could. They were together for so long, he felt like they could take the next step. He could assure her for good that she was the one to him, she always had been.

"Peter? Are you still with us?" His teacher questioned.

"Huh? Yes, yes, of course." He opened his science books.

"Glad to hear."

Oscorp Tower - Manhattan

"How are we so far?" Harry questioned, sat next to the holographic table, similar to the one he once had in his office when he was CEO of one of the biggest companies in the United States. He moved his legs over it.

The specific room they were in was locked away from Oscorp's ordinary employees. Oscorp was a maze.

"Aleksei, Quentin, Max Dillon." Fliers changed the candidate's images by slipping his finger over the table.

"Dillon? I thought he was dead."

"We were tracing sudden spikes of electricity across the country. He materialized himself again about a year after he was defeated by Spider-Man and Gwen Stacy."

Gwen Stacy.

Harry shook his head and changed the subject, "Who's this Quentin?"

"Former illusionist who joined the criminal career after killing his former employer, something to do with his wife, for revenge. He's now a mercenary and he knows how to mess with people's minds by using fear toxins he developed by himself. How? You should ask him yourself. If money is involved, he'll do whatever you want."

"Good. When will he be here?"

"Quentin couldn't wait for us so he… decided to… let's say he's moving things forward with Peter."

"Today?"

Fiers nodded.

Harry cleared his throat. "He should have waited a bit longer."

"What do you mean? Are you… having second thoughts?"

"No… I'm not." Harry changed the subject, "About that project you mentioned before, is it working?"

"Project Venom, it's been in the works since your father experienced his first symptoms. We've given the sample to Quentin and he will deliver it soon, like I said… he was eager to get things going."

Harry couldn't help but remain alert about the new member. "Run a background check again, I want to make sure he doesn't have many reasons to double-cross us in the future."

Fiers nodded. "It will be done."

"I want Peter to… be aware of the damage he has inflicted on people's lives, I want him to confess... for everything he has done."

"If the symbiote works as intended, you might not even be needed to collect his… confession."

"He's - as always - the cause of his own suffering and everyone around him, it runs in the family. He needs to know this, then… we'll see what happens." Harry stood up from his chair and walked past Fiers. He entered the elevator and eventually reached the special project's floor.

He finally stepped out of the elevator, seeing all the tech stored within the many chambers. Aleksei's torn armor from his past encounter with Spider-Man remained sealed. The large, pointy wings and robot tentacles were inside of their own respective chamber.

He approached the power armor chamber and the green lightning appeared over his figure, revealing to him the now finished armor and glider.

Empire State University

Gwen held a couple of folders from her new work under her arm as she strolled through the corridors of the university. She wore a white blouse, dark skinny jeans while taking pride in her light makeup work. She searched for Peter so that they could finally go home.

She was also extremely hungry.

Gwen entered the mess hall and instantly landed her eyes on her boyfriend, he was sitting next to a table, eating a sandwich while watching the news and listening to some music through his wireless earphones.

She approached Peter from behind and slipped her arms across his neck. She leaned down and planted a soft kiss on his warm cheek. "Hey."

"Hey, you." Peter smiled and kissed the delicate skin of her pulse.

Gwen joined him and leaned her head on his shoulder. He snaked an arm around her waist and rested his hand over her belly.

"... want some?" He offered his sandwich.

"God, yes. I'm starving." Gwen replied, taking a bite from his sandwich. "... hmm… it tastes so good."

"It must since you just ate half my sandwich."

She licked her lips. "You didn't put any limits regarding where I could put my mouth on."

Peter was caught off guard. "That's… it's still early, you know?" His girlfriend giggled. He then looked around and spotted the ketchup standing on the table in front of them. He shot a bio-cable towards the ketchup and brought it into his hand. He began applying it to his sandwich.

Nobody noticed it.

Gwen was amused. "Speaking off that... do you want to know what my mom questioned me when I visited her?"

"Shoot, babe."

"If we… are being safe… to avoid an unexpected child. She even gave me some tips on how to… you know."

Peter almost spilled the food in his mouth but managed not to. "She gave you what?" He mumbled, coughing lightly.

Gwen smiled and tilted her head to the side, playfully.

He cleared his throat "She gave you… tips? No, no… you're kidding, aren't you?"

"I'm serious, Mr. Parker."

Peter buried his face in his left hand. "This is so awkward..."

She smiled once again. "You're cute when you're blushing"

"I'm not cute." He stated, firmly.

She insisted, "Yes, you're."

"Spider-Man can't be cute or else how will the bad guys fear me?"

"Both of you are cute, you know that I'm right. No wonder all these ladies fall for someone that they've never seen his face."

"Tsc, whatever. I'm not falling into this trap again."

Gwen laughed. She allowed him to one last bite of his sandwich. "Um… but I mean, well… would you… ever want it?"

Peter was surprised by her question. They never had got in-depth about such subject, about having a family together. "Do you mean like… having a baby…?"

Gwen nodded, she dreamed of what her future with Peter would've been like.

"Well... um, Gwen, I think so. I… I would love to have children with you, one day in the future. I don't see anyone else in this world that I would like to spend the rest of my years with."

His words made Gwen's heart melt. It was relaxing to be aware that he dreamed about the same things she did when it came to the future of their relationship.

Peter leaned in to kiss his girlfriend, closing his eyes and stopping a few inches from her lips just so that he could brush his lips against hers.

Before kissing, Gwen whispered, "... when the time is right."

He whispered back, "... when the time is right."

Later in the night, Gwen had already fallen asleep on the couch and in Peter's arms while they watched an interesting movie about a girl named Olive who lied quite a lot to gain popularity at school. He found the actress to be a look-alike of his girlfriend.

After noticing that she was already gone, Peter gently carried Gwen in his arms and to their bedroom, before placing her in their bed. He covered Gwen with the covers and planted a soft kiss on her forehead.

As inviting the bed looked to be, Peter decided to do some late-night patrolling so he opened the wardrobe and suited up again, only leaving his face uncovered. He kept looking at his reflection found in the mirror inside the wardrobe.

Peter Parker or Spider-Man? Both?

What I do know… is that both of us have seen a lot, experienced a lot. I wonder where this whole thing will lead me to.

Peter shook his head, forgetting such complex thoughts, and finally wore his mask. He headed to their window and looked over his shoulder to check one last time on his girlfriend.

Gwen wasn't moving, she was hugging his pillow that he used to fake his chest whenever he needed to go out for a while.

Alright, Parker. You will be back to her soon.

Spider-Man jumped out of the window and allowed himself to free fall for a couple of seconds before quickly firing a biocable to the nearest building, making him ascend to high heights.

This never gets old.

Spider-Man let go of the webbing and spun in the air, before landing on a flagpole on top of a building to survey the city. He searched for something that needed his intervention but so far, everything was quiet. He started to regret leaving the comfort of his girlfriend for the windy nights of New York City.

Man… I could be in bed and with Gwen wrapped around my arms.

He was ready to head back home when he noticed a suspicious man wearing a black leather jacket following a woman from a distance down back in the streets. He didn't try to hide his intentions much.

It was obvious what was about to happen for someone experienced as Peter Parker, or in this case, Spider-Man.

Bad guys need to take better acting lessons.

He followed the suspicious man by jumping off the flagpole and landing against some wall. He began crawling against the building while waiting for the suspect to finally reveal his intentions.

The woman entered a dark alley while the man began to close the distance between them.

Spider-Man joined them in the alley, but much to his surprise, there wasn't a single soul near him, but only darkness and some gas coming from the manholes. He landed on the ground and searched for any clues regarding the whereabouts of the two individuals.

What is this? Spider-Man grabbed two breathers on the ground.

He finally noticed that the entire alley was now covered by the green smoke that was getting out of the manholes. Large clogs began to appear through the smoke and replace the buildings around him, a shattered ceiling could now be seen on top of him.

What is going on…?

Spider-Man kept turning around in circles to see what was going on. Seconds ago, he was inside some alley and now he was back at the Clocktower from Oscorp's power plant.

He stopped himself from moving due to the shock of seeing the sight above him.

Harry Osborn stood in his glider and above him. He had had one arm around Gwen's waist and another around her neck, keeping her close. They both stood still in his glider.

Spider-Man yelled. "Stop!"

Harry spoke, "You took everything from me…" He moved his hand to Gwen's face and smiled.

She begged for her life. "Harry… please."

"No…!"! Spider-Man jumped towards them. He heard the 'snap' and before he noticed mid-flight, he dove straight to the ground, as if the world had reversed.

He shook his head in pain and got back on his feet only to spot the lifeless Gwen Stacy lying on the floor. "Gwen!" He yelled as he hurried towards her.

Spider-Man raised Gwen from the cold floor and sat down on the ground with her head now resting over his lap. He held his girlfriend closely.

"Gwen?! Hey!" He tapped her cheek, gently.

"Not so complicated anymore…!" Harry cackled from outside the clocktower as he flew around the ceiling.

The sound of a door opening interrupted him and George Stacy was now inside the clocktower. He stood beside the open door, staring deeply at his daughter's boyfriend.

Spider-Man stared at him back. He began to panic. "No… no…" He covered his face with his free hand, trying to wake up from such a nightmare. He felt movement from behind and turned his chest around only to feel Harry bury a spear on his heart. The spear came through his back and drops of blood fell into Gwen's coat.

Spider-Man locked eyes with Harry. He held the spear with his free hand but failed to struggle against his foe.

Harry spoke. "The heart, Peter… the heart."

Spider-Man began to lose his strength while they looked at each other. Eventually, he felt something sticky move itself over the suit. He looked down at the suit and realized the suit's webbing was gone and was then replaced by a complete black pattern.

"Stop…" His strength began to grow back. "Stop…!" Despite having the spear across his torso, he moved his chest towards Harry and grabbed him by the neck.

"Yo, yo! I'm sorry…!"

Spider-Man closed and opened his eyes. He was holding some beggar by the throat and against the wall. He was now back to the alley.

The beggar was terrified. "I-I… I haven't done anything wrong! I swear!"

"What is going on here…?!" Spider-Man questioned, furiously.

"I don't know! I was looking around for some booze and then someone screamed. I-I just came to check what was going on, I swear!" He looked down at Spider-Man's suit. "... d-did you change your costume?"

He saw his hand now covered by a darker tone, a shade of purple. The red and blue were gone. He checked his suit further and noticed that his chest had a fat and white spider around it.

"Look man, just let me go... I swear that I haven't done anything wrong."

Spider-Man looked up to the man, he was still trying to sort out what had just happened to him. He released the man from his grip who quickly ran away.

The suit… oh no… Gwen.

Spider-Man was ready to leave to check on Gwen but he started to feel dizzy. His head was about to explode after such an experience, breathing became harder to accomplish after each second that went by. His insides felt like they were being torn apart.

He then lifted his mask slightly, exposing his mouth so that he could breathe easier. His heart raced. "Home… Gwen..." He gasped before firing a biocable to the nearest building.

Peter slowly climbed the wall for his bedroom. He could feel his body failing him and he wouldn't forgive himself if something had happened to Gwen. Not again.

He reached the window and took a peek. Gwen Stacy was fine and slept comfortably on his pillow.

"Gwen… thank… god." He gasped as he fell right onto the floor, waking up his girlfriend due to the noise.

Gwen instantly opened her eyes and became terrified because of what she was seeing. Her boyfriend was lying down on the floor and desperate for air.

"Peter!"

Gwen hurried towards him, noticing the suit's sudden color change. She slowly helped Peter to lie down in their bed, before taking his mask off.

His face was covered in red and he was breathing rapidly like never before, fighting to not close his eyes, to make sure she was truly fine.

"You are... okay," Peter whispered, touching her cheek with his glove.

"Yes, Peter. I'm okay… but stay with me," She replied. "What happened?"

"I..."

Aware that he wouldn't talk much due to his condition, Gwen hurried to the kitchen and later to their bathroom. She now held a glass filled with water in her right hand. She also carried a pill to calm him down.

She sat beside him. "Here, drink this. It will make you feel better, honey."

His sight began to fail him.

Gwen gently put the painkiller on Peter's mouth and helped him drink the water. She put the glass over the counter beside the bed and hugged him close.

"Don't fight it..." She whispered, worried. "I'm here for you"

He finally gave up and fell asleep, being held by Gwen's arms in their bed. 'I need you more than ever' was the last thing he heard.

Back at the alley...

"It's done. He has it."

Quentin announced the success of his first task through the phone. He held in his hand the pod that once contained the symbiote.

"You can come back, time shall do the rest for now," Fiers spoke.

"I could have just killed him."

"Your job was to just make him one with the symbiote without raising any alarms. "

"What good will that do?

"I don't want him dead now."

"Then what's the point-"

"The point is: you're going to do what I want you to do."

"Alright… you don't need to get all bossy on me."

Fiers ended the call without any warning.

"Idiot." Quentin carried the pod back to his chair.

A/N: Sorry if this one felt rushed. I wanted to finally introduce the Black Suit and focus on the gathering of S6. The next one will be heavily focused on Peter and Gwen. The black suit will play a big role in the current plot.

10/02/2021: Light changes in dialogue and improved scenes.
