Its been a week since the dinner at the Italian restaurant. The whole week is a blur and it's like auto pilot for Olivia. Rafael still doesn't know about Olivia and Haden's dinner, it wasn't important...

It wasn't important. That is bullshit. Of course it matters. The love of her life, although she wouldnt admit it, has just come back into her life. When she got home they texted for hours but he still never told her the reason. It felt like 6 years ago when they used to talked for hours on end. Call. text. Even skype from time to time. Olivia hadn't realised how much she misses him.

But a week on from the meet at 1PP she has barely spoken to him. The day is quiet and after some pizza delivery the team are getting back to the paperwork. Olivia is sat in her office when Fin knocks on the door.

"Hey Fin. What's up?" She says as he shuts the door.

"Liv. Chief Dodds is on the phone. He wants to talk to you about something but won't tell me what."

"Okay... shit. Wonder what he wants."

"No idea. Want me to put him through?"

"Yeah. Please. Thanks for giving me the heads up."

"Well I always look out for you." He says with a chuckle as he leaves. He shuts the door behind her and a couple minutes later Chief Dodds is on the phone.

She gets a text from David as she is talking to the Chief. She opens her messages and taps on the unopened message.

2:32PM: Hi. Hope your day is going okay. I know you might not be able to but if you can... Would you like a drink at some point this week? If you don't want to go out that's okay. I'm sure there's a movie or two at mine you might like.

She can't help but smile. He wants to see her again.

Olivia. What about Rafael? Her brain screams.

"Olivia. Are you still there?" Chief dodds says.

"Yes. Sorry chief i just got an email that I had to read quickly."

"Okay. You are busy so I'll let you go. By the way you seemed a little distant on the meeting are you okay?"

"Yes. Just been busy recently and not alot of sleep."

They end the call after a few more minutes of taking and she texts Fin.

2:40PM: I don't get that man some times. Seriously what was the point of that. He litterally said that I was "off" at the seminar at 1PP. Ugh.

She sends the message to Fin and texts David back.

2:42PM: Sorry. I would have texted you sooner but my Chief wanted to talk to me. Still not sure what the point of that was. I'll see how this week goes. To be honest, and i hate to admit it, I'm exhausted. Honestly I can't remember the last time I got more than 3 hours of sleep.

She hits send and a couple of minutes later the buzz of her phone goes off and she smiles and looks at her phone. Her smile lessens as she sees it's only Fin.

2:46PM: Chief Dodds could talk at his own funeral. If you ever feel "off" though just remember that I'm here for Liv.

She sends a quick thanks. As her phone buzzes again and she smiles more as she sees it's David.

2:51PM: Fall asleep anytime you need to on me Lieutenant. Just as long as your not driving. If you feel up to it the offer is there. If not thats okay too.

If Olivia Benson's heart goes any quicker it could compete at a horse race. There is something sexy about him calling her by her rank. There's just a thing with him and she likes it.

2:53PM: Shall we say lets aim for friday at yours?

Its a bold statement but she wants to see him and although being taken to a restaurant or the theatre by him sounds fun... she would love to spend some time alone with him. She hasn't thought about Rafael and apart from cases they have barely spoken. He knows nothing about what she is planning with David and she doesn't care about that.

3:02PM: Yes. That's okay. Thankyou.

She smiles and a couple of hours later goes home. She puts her things away and changes into some black leggings and a top and sweatshirt. She relaxes on the sofa with her drink and puts on the radio. She falls alseep and ends up being woken up 45 minutes later by a knock on the door.

She unlocks the door and pays for the Chinese takeaway and goes back in her apartment. She eats and watches a couple of movies after the last one goes to credits she hears her phone ringing. Sighing she picks it up and answers it.

"Lieutenant Benson." She says hoping that it isn't another case.

"Hey. How are you?" David says with a smile. "To be honest i thought you'd be with your boyfriend." He continues.

"No. I have barely spoken to him over the last couple of weeks. However he is away in Boston for another week on work."

"How are you?" David says.

"I'm okay. I am just so fucking exhausted. I feel like I've been on auto pilot for a few days now and I feel like everything with Lewis will come back and I'll go back to being a mess like at the beginning of this... Fuck. I'm a fucking mess." She says. She has no idea why she is telling him this, however she needs to tell someone, it's the truth.

Currently only Cragen, Fin, Rafael and now David know how she is really feeling.

"Olivia if you want me to go..." However he doesn't get to finish that when she cuts him off.

"David. Don't go. To be honest I am kind of wishing that you were here." She says.

She has abosulty no idea why she said that. Fuck it. She does know and she knows that she does. She loves him. She feels safe with him. She wants to just feel intoxicated by his aftershave and his strong arms around her holding her close.

"Sorry. It's been a heck of a long week. It's only Wednesday."

"Please do not be sorry. Wednesday for me is the longest day. Listen Olivia and listen well. You are amazing at your job. I know that. You are an amazing person who I will forever admire and you are smart, funnny and kind. More important you care. You are an incredible woman. Don't let that bastard or any of the other bastards get to you."

"Thank you."

"Olivia if you need me. Just remember that I'm here. Sure I've got work to do. However... My phone will always be on for you Olivia."

"Thank you. Same for you David. I may be busy but if you need me. I'll try. You have me."

"Okay. Well I've just seen the clock and I know how tired you are. You've yawned 3 times in the space of 5 minutes. So I'll let you go get some sleep."

"Okay. I'm sorry for just whining tonight."

"You told me how you feel. Olivia... that is perfectly okay with me."

"Thank you David. I mean that." She says. Her already large smile increases and she notices it. She feels happy talking to him.

"Good night. Lieutenant."

"Good night." She hangs up the phone she sees a message unopened. She opens it.

10:54PM: I'm sorry we have barely talked. Work has been hectic. I hope your okay Liv.

She texts Rafael back and gets into bed and puts her phone on charge.

10:55PM: I am going to go to bed. Talk to you soon. I am just really tired Rafael.

10:56PM: Good night Liv.

She messages a quick goodnight to him and shuts off her phone. Alot was going through her mind however she knows one thing, seeing David on friday would be interesting.
