A few days pass and David is walking through Manhattan. He stops off at a coffee shop and as he's leaving with his drink and David goes back to his office. He isn't working but the mountian of paperwork isn't going to leave if he doesn't get it done.

It gets to 3pm and David gets a call. Without looking he answers it.

"Haden."

"Hey..." Olivia says. Her voice is shaky and it worries him.

"Are you okay?"

"I feel like I'm being followed. Could we meet?"

"Yeah. Where are you?"

"Near the donut..."

She can't finish her sentence before a loud bang. Almost like a gun shot.

"OLIVIA." David says louder.

"She's gone. Your girl has gone." A voice says.

"She had better not be."

He hears the voice tell Olivia something before the person talking ends the call and David grabs his stuff. He looks at the paperwork and leaves. He tells his secretary that he probably won't be back today. He grabs his car and drives to Olivia.

When he gets there, an ambulance and a few cop cars are blocking the path. He gets out of his car and goes past the crowd. He sees a woman being strechtered off into the ambulance. She takes off her mask and looks at him.

"Excuse me. I know that woman." He says to the cop.

"Sorry. I still can't let you through."

"My name is E.A.D.A. David Haden. Let me through." He says showing the officer the badge.

"Okay sir. I need this job." The officer says before letting david under the tape. He runs over to the ambulance and gets in.

"What happened?"

"She got shot twice."

Olivia tilts her head to look at David. She opens her hand and he his hand in hers and smiles. "I'm here. Liv... I got you."

"Listen sir... I'd really appreciate it if you could follow in a taxi or something."

He shows his badge. "That's Lieutenant Benson. I'm riding in this ambulance. If you like it or not."

"Okay. But I have to stress she can't answer questions. We need to keep her calm."

"Okay Idiot. I don't know if you just missed the last 6 seconds or not but a blind man could tell you that I am not here as a fucking attorney." David snaps.

"Sorry Sir. I didn't mean to cause any offence."

"I know. I understand."

They get to the hospital. David calls Manhatten SVU.

"This is decective Rollins how can I help you?"

"Hey. Erm.. Could I speak to Fin Tutuola? Tell him it's Haden and its urgent."

"Sure."

"Tutuola."

"It's David Haden. I need you to get to the hospital as soon as you can. Olivia has been shot."

"What the hell happened?"

"She called me. Said someone was following her and then 2 loud gun shots and a voice that said your girl is dead."

"Is she?" Fin says. Amanda is looking at him.

"No. Just get down here."

David stays outside the hospital room and fin shows up. "Where is she?"

"She's just got back from a small operation. The doctor will give us the results soon."

"Shit... okay. Should I call Barba?" Fin asks.

"I don't know. I don't exactly think I should be here if you do."

"I'll call his secretary."

Fin calls Carmen and David talk a to the doctor.

"Barba is in court still. He has to stay. Apparently there isn't anyone to take it. When he gets out the secretary is going to get him to call me."

"Okay. The doctor advises that she might wakeup in the next hour or so. The bullets didn't hit anything vital and the fragments have been removed."

"Okay. Can we go see her?"

"Yeah. You go. If you want? It isn't really my place. Your like a big brother to her... me well..."

"You are the man she loves. Yeah... I know. Listen Haden. I didn't like you to begin with but that woman in there means the world to me. She hasn't had it easy."

"I can't have her. She's with a guy who really doesn't like me. I fucked up something massive for his carrer. It's one of a few reasons why he is only ADA and not a judge."

"Okay. She cares alot about you."

"I won't fight him though. If he wants her. I'll go. I'm not going to fight."

"She loves you."

David goes to the window of the room. He looks through it and Fin goes next to him. David has tears in his eyes. "I love her. I wish it... I wish it was me. We need to find the bastard that did this."

"Yeah... we do. Go see her. I ain't sure how much time you'll have before he gets here."

David just smiles. "I'm sorry. I know I hurt her back then."

"Make up for it now. And... Don't lie to me."

David gives him a confused look. As fin opens the door to the room for him he says. "You will fight for her. Your nearly in tears now. I'll let you know when hes on his way."

"Thanks. Detective. I really mean it."
