The Weyland Security units made their way through Bishop Tower, ensuring the building was secured. Baldwin was promptly discovered in the stolen vehicle and already apprehended by the time Meyers was killed. In the meanwhile, Kira and Kai got on their knees and held their hands atop their heads, fingers interlaced. Aster, Sugarcube, Star, and Chase all hid in the ventilation duct Aster came through.
If their plan was to work, they needed to make it clear that they were not a threat, and that Meyers had been dealt with. Sure enough, after a short while, WY Security made it to the roof, where they surrounded the two young adults, issuing verbal commands.
"Don't move!"
"Stay right where you are!"
"Keep your heads pointed down!"
After a few minutes of being held at gunpoint by armored men with assault rifles, a senior officer, escorted by a film crew, made his way up onto the roof as well. He stood in front of the two young adults, folding his arms. Kira and Kai both looked up at him as he gave both a stern glare.
"Explain yourselves, both of you!" He ordered, the film crew behind him pointing their cameras at the two.
"Y-yes, sir..." Kira responded.
"Now, listen..." Kai began, "...we knew that Dr. Meyers was a threat since his escape from the Ares colony prison. We did everything we could to stop him."
"And why didn't you just inform the local police?" The officer spoke. "You shouldn't take matter into your own hands!"
"But protocol of law enforcement is too slow with how clever he was!" Kai responded. "If we didn't do something, then this world would be..."
"Also," Kira spoke up, "he was after us in particular after we indirectly stopped some... well, illegal experiments he was conducting under Weyland's nose."
"How so?" The officer spoke.
Kira sighed. "Alright, now... I know this is gonna sound ridiculous, because, well... the truth can sound ridiculous sometimes."
Kai nodded. "But that doesn't mean it's not the truth."
"Yeah," Kira continued. "So... I'm going out on a limb to assume you saw the... creatures up here that helped us fight Meyers before your men finished him?"
"We certainly did," the senior officer spoke. "Care to explain what we saw?"
"Now, please..." Kai said, "...have your men stand down, and not shoot them when we call them out. Because they're docile, and also... they're our..." his face went red, "...f-families..."
The officer rubbed his chin, his eyes narrow. It seemed like he was having trouble trying to piece together everything that was just explained to him. However, he eventually raised his eyebrows as he activated his radio.
"All units, stand down," he spoke. "Do not engage specimens as they appear. POIs claim they are docile."
Once all the unit leaders acknowledged the transmission, they lowered their rifles. Kai and Kira then stood, facing the duct the xenomorph drones all hid themselves in.
"Aster!" Kira called.
"Sugarcube!" Kai also called out. "Come on out, and show them how you really are!"
Slowly, the four xenos all emerged, one after another. Several of the security team stepped back, partially raising their rifles, but not training them on the aliens themselves.
"Reminder," the senior officer spoke, "do not engage. We need to see what exactly happens from here. All units, standby."
The xenos all slowly made their way over to their human companions, Aster placing his hands on Kira's shoulders from behind, and Sugarcube lightly taking hold of Kai's arm. Clearly, they were trying to show the WY Security teams that they genuinely cared about their human lovers.
The officers and agents, needless to say, were quite confused at what they saw.
"What the hell?"
"Why aren't they mauling those kids?"
"Do those xenos have... gender-based organs?"
"See?" Kira spoke up. "They mean no harm! We've actually kept them hidden at our residences for a few years now, ever since the underground WY programs they were involved in was shut down!"
"Years?" The officer said. "And... how did you come to know about a classified experiments program?"
"It's a long story," Kai said. "But, it started with the eldest male xenomorph, here, escaping from a lab, and finding his way to her," he motion to Kira. "From there, Dr. Meyers tracked him down... but in the time between then, they became very... affectionate for each other.
"A little while later, when the lab was raided by Meyers, we went to investigate and rescue the drone, and that's when I met the older female, here," he turned to face Sugarcube. "And well... the same thing happened with me and her."
"And what about these younger two?" The officer said.
Kira's face went red. "Well... s-see... they're our... children..."
There was dead silence in that moment. No doubt, Kira and Kai both knew the agents and officers were all wondering how exactly humans and xenomorphs could possibly crossbreed, but no one asked them any question on the matter.
"Hmmm..." the senior officer said, rubbing his chin, "...curious... very bizarre set of circumstance. Ordinarily, under these circumstances, we would send out a specialized team to reclaim the xenomorph specimens... but..."
"But what?" Kira asked.
"...Thing is, I imagine this would entail a whole set of moral implications, particularly in court..." the officer said, pacing. "...Given the level of sentience you claim these specimens possess, there would the matter of the rights of all intelligent beings, established once interplanetary travel was established.
"Similarly, we would have you all detained for knowledge of classified information... but given the timeframes, we no longer have that ability, either. And personally, I'm not ready to fill out a novelsworth of paperwork for such a situation. But, in light of what happened, and how you contributed to the situation... I think there is a solution that will benefit you both greatly."
Kira and Kai stared with narrow eyes.
"What do you mean?" Kira asked.
The senior officer continued: "Since you both went out of your way to stop a would-be terrorist from devastating our world with nuclear fallout... we may be willing to grant you, and your xenomorph family members, special immunity from any legal repercussions. But only under one condition."
"And that condition is...?" Kai asked.
"You are both to keep this a secret from the general public," the officer spoke. "We cannot allow word of these specimens to cause mass panic among the civilians."
"Oh, believe me," Kira said, "last thing I want is everyone panicking because of something I'm involved in."
"Excellent," the officer said. "We'll send word to CEO Sir Peter Weyland to make arrangements, and from there, the two of you will be free to go about your lives as normal, under the terms of secrecy we outline in the formal agreement."
"Great!" Kai said.
"But, only thing... how do you even communicate with them?" The officer said.
"It's their telepathy," Kira said. "We're among only a handful of people who can pick it up."
"Hmmm, I see..." the officer said, turning to the film crew, "...ensure that this recording remains classified to the highest degree," he then activated his radio again. "Prep all units to move out, and have forensics come to clear away the corpse of the mutated perp."

With that, Kira, Kai, and their xeno family members were all free to go, being escorted back to their homes in special opaque-walled vans that would not draw attention. The damaged SORIA unit was taken by the security team to be repaired by technicians free of charge, as compensation for their effort to stop Meyers.
Sam, however, panicking and thinking they were apprehended, went straight back home to try and figure out what to do from there, only to be surprised when Kira, Aster, and Sugarcube all turned up back at the house.
"Holy shit!" Sam remarked. "You got out of that? How?"
Kira shrugged. "Took a bit of bargaining... and we were pretty lucky that there are some kind, understanding people who work for Weyland."
Sam laughed. "Y'know, Kira... you really got a knack for getting yourself out of some deep shit!"
Kira also laughed. "What can I say? I would go to any lengths for my family and friends!"
"What happened to SORIA, by the way?" Sam asked.
Kira frowned. "Unfortunately, she got shot by Meyers. And even though she can be a bit annoying at times... she still did what she could to help me. I really hope WY can fix her."
"They will," Sam said. "That's what their technicians do all the time."
"Yeah, you're right," Kira said, nonchalant.
"And also..." Aster said, coming up on Kira from behind and hugging her, "...I'm glad that we get to stay together, and live a happy life."
"Me too," Star said, "especially since... I-I thought... I lost you, D-Daddy..."
Aster placed a hand on his daughter's shoulder. "Nothing will ever keep me apart from my little girl."

It wasn't until a few days of laying low that the Ripleys decided to meet back up with the Sykes. They still, of course, wanted to start meeting up regularly again. And also... Chase had something really important he wanted to get off his chest.
"Listen, Star..." Chase began, his nerves starting to get to him as they often when he spoke to his female friend, "...I need to say... how much I've really... e-enjoyed being friends with you..."
"Yeah," Star responded. "And, Chase... I really need to say it myself... I've really come to like you... as more than just a friend."
Chase's heart leapt upon hearing this. "Y... you really think so...?"
Star nodded. "And... I just feel like... like I want to spend the rest of my life with you."
"So..." Chase began, "...how should we explain to our parents?"
Star pondered. "...Maybe the best way is to just explain it to them directly. Besides, I know my mom would be most understanding of it."
Chase sighed. "I sure hope so..."
So, the two young xenos left Star's bedroom, and met back up with their parents in the living room. Apparently, they had been so wrapped up in deep conversation, they didn't even notice their children disappeared momentarily.
"Oh," Kira said upon seeing Star and Chase enter the room, "where were you two?"
Star nervously fiddled with her hands. "Listen, Mom... Chase and I... we've been thinking... about something... for a little while now..."
"Oh?" Aster chimed in. "Like what?"
Taking a deep breath, Star finally decided to quit holding back the truth from her family any longer.
"...Chase and I would like to become mates," she said.
The room fell silent for a good long while. Everyone exchanged nothing but glances. Chase approached Aster, holding one arm in his other hand, and holding his head down timidly.
"King Aster... Your Excellency..." he spoke, "...with your daughter being of royal blood... I know I'm hardly worthy, but... with your permission... I give my word that I will fulfill her every need, and protect her from any harm."
Aster smiled, placing a hand on the younger xeno's shoulder. "Any who promise to fulfill such an obligation, and one with such a strong resolve is more than welcome to court my daughter. There is, however, one condition."
Chase picked his head back up. "Anything..."
"...Never make her upset," Aster said, tauntingly.
"Oh, believe me," Chase said, "I ALWAYS want to make her happy."
Chase then turned back toward Star, before he walked back over to her, and the two held each other very tenderly, their tails coiling together, and lightly touching their heads, crooning softly.
"Oh, Chase..." Star said, "...I can't even begin to TELL you how happy I am!"
Chase, however, could get a pretty good idea of how she felt, just as he felt so himself.
"...I love you, Star," he said.
"And I love you, Chase," Star responded, gently caressing his dorsal tubes as she continued to hug him.
"Aww... how sweet," Sugarcube commented.
"I guess ending Meyers wasn't the only good thing to come out of this whole mess," Kai said. "I guess all's well that ends well, right?"
"I guess so…" Kira said, looking out the window, "...but it's kinda weird, knowing we basically saved the world, and yet... no one will ever know."
"Think anyone would believe that a couple of xenomorphs helped to save the world?" Kai asked.
Kira looked at him, grinning. "...The world will never know. It's our little secret, right? All we can do from here is keep on keeping on."
