Chapter 2-Is she home

It had taken him some time to do so 3 months to be exact, it had been so nice seeing his wife and they had caught up about what they had both been through and he had also told her about Eva. He loved her so much but he was with Chantel and she needed him. But three months was three months too long, and now as he stood infront of the Fabragase homstead he was about to see her again would she even want to. What if she had already moved on? He knocked on the front door and waited paitently there was the sound of footsteps and it opened up. Fernando gave him a smile as he greeted the first officer of his ship.

"Nicholas it is good to see you come on in, how is Chantel?" he asked as they headed into the parlour room

"Chantel is well, um is Eva home I need to talk to her?" Nicholas asked his boss. Fernando chuckled. "I didn't think this was a soical call Nicholas. Does Chantel know you are her?"

"No she doesn't, things aren't going to well with us at the moment ,it all feel strange like I don't know her anymore" Nicholas told him.

"These things take time you haven't seen her for two years of course you feel like strangers at the moment. As for Eva she hasn't been feeling well so she's at the doctors at the moment" Fernando told him. In truth that wasn't 100% true Eva had in fact gone to the doctors after seeing the publisher about her book and was now upstairs with Carolina, sharing what the doctor had told her with her sister. She had seen Nicholas from the window and told her sister that she didn't want to talk to him. She just didn't know what to say or how to feel esspeacally after what the doctor had told her. There were footsteps on the stairs and Carolina walked in.

"Nicholas, how lovely it is to see you. Fernando you should have told me we had guests" Carolina gushed hugging the officer.

"It is wonderful to see you aswell Carolina you are looking well and I hope that Eva is well, Fernando told me she is at the doctors"

"It's just a flu but she wanted to be sure" Carolina told him as she sat down. "How is Chantel?"

"She is well it feels strange but as your husband said these things take time" Nicholas told her. Carolina nodded "Would you like something to drink" she offered.

"Yes thank you that would be lovely" Nicholas told her. Fernando stood up and went to get some refreshments. "Carol can you come and help" he asked her

"It's the maid's day off Carolina explained to Nicholas as she went with Fernando. Carolina was lying Eva wasn't at the doctors she was at home and for whatever reason avoiding him. He followed her into the kitchen where the couple were talking "Hey, I'm going to go do you have pen and paper so I can leave Eva a note"

"Of course here you go" Carolina passed him a sheet of paper and a pen that was on the side. Nicholas quickly wrote a small note and addressed it to Eva "When she come's home give this to her for me."
