"We have to keep running" Ruby demanded from her teammates
"No Shit, I thought we could simply stop and take in the view as we are slowly eaten ALIVE" Weiss Yelled at her team leader.
"Guys could you save your relationship issues until we get back to the dorms" Blake quickly remarked towards the bickering pair.
As the four Huntresses run though the forest dodging Grimm attacks from left and right, they see an opening. They all sprint to the opening jumping at the final trees and sliding down a slope tumbling down the dirt covered slope. When they all stop rolling, Ruby and Weiss landed on each other in a rather suggestive position. Ruby stared at Weiss in her eyes with a blush as red as her hood and Weiss was no different. They look deep into each other's eyes not knowing what to do.
"wow Weiss you literally got my sister to fall for you" Yang interrupted them in all her pun glory. At this Ruby jumped off Weiss with the speed of her Semblance.
"YANG don't say things like that" Ruby screamed at her older sister while the blush on her face only deepened. As Weiss finished brushing off her outfit, she slowly made her way to Yang and Ruby.
"will you two stop yelling the Grimm will hear us and we would have to start running again and I don't know about you but I'm tired of running" Weiss's tone was serious and you could see from her posture she did not want to start running again. Both the sister's agreed to be quiet and start moving.
"guy I don't know about you, but this place wasn't on the map and is it just me or does this place remind you of a place you have been before?" Blake State in a deadpan tone as the other's moved closer to her the began to look at their surrounding and in turn noticed that same as Blake.
"I'm going to be honest here I feel like I've been here before but more like in a dream" Yang said with her normal amount of joy in her voice.
"Yeah I must agree with you their Yang" Weiss said
"Guys stay focused we need to complete out training task and get back to Ozpin" Ruby Stated towards her teammates. They all nodded their heads in acknowledgement and began to look at the surrounding area. After a few steps they passed a sign which read 'welcome to Riverwood village' the name seemed familiar to the girls, but they pushed onwards into the village.
As they went further and further into the village they soon realized that the village had been overrun by Grimm indicated by the scratches on the woodwork and the lake of ant copses in side the blood ridden houses soon they found themselves splitting up int the whiterose and Bumbleby pairs and each went to look for a way back to beacon. "so, think Weiss and Ruby have decided to ditch the mission and make out?" Yang said with a cheeky grin
"come on Yang this is Weiss we are talking about Ruby would try too get a kiss and Weiss would Swat her away" Blake retorted. This got a giggle from the sunny blonde.
"yeah I guess your right they cant even hold hands in public without Weiss getting all defensive" Yang then began to impersonate the Ice Queen " Ruby w…what are y…you doing we are in….in public" this little joke by Yang only increased he giggles and even got a smirk from the Black Beauty.
"Don't let Weiss hear you trying to talk like her" Blake Quickly commented both knew that if Weiss found out it would be a day and a half of her screaming at you about it to which neither liked. The
structure. Slowly, as they moved to the broken door Blake pushed It open with Yang standing at the ready for anything that might jump out as the door opened, they both entered. When the door opened the was a heavy gust of wind both had to regain their balance "well good thing the door only winded us" Yang chuckled, and the pun only made Blake sigh
"Yang come on focus this is serious" Blake retorted, though she would never say this out loud she secretly enjoyed the pun especially when they break the tension.
"come on Blake you know I can't resist" Yang simply smiled at Blake and Blake deep down knew that Yang could never resist a good pun even when the situation never called for one.
They slowly moved into the building which from the looks of the furniture, or what's left of it, it seemed to be a church. The chairs were broken and all over the place, but the altar however was completely intact. Yang tapped Blake on the shoulder and indicated towards it, Blake acknowledged this and they both slowly moved towards the altar. As they slowly approved the altar Blake started to hear something. "Who's there!" Blake demanded, sifting her eyes back and forth though out the room slowly she scanned the room but the noise was gone as soon as it started as she slowly started to back up toward Yang she heard it again but there was nothing there. Both Yang and Blake was on alert and neither wanted to get jumped by Grimm.
"Can you hear people talking" Yang stated and Blake nodded in agreement they was right by the altar now and from the looks of things it looks like "blood " Yang looked inside the altar and Blake also look inside after the comment "or just very dark strawberry juice" Yang tried to make light heart of the situation.
"I mean it doesn't smell like strawberries Yang and doesn't look like the color for it either" Blake deadpanned.
"hey, with the color I said it could be very dark strawberry juice" Yang retorted in her normal upbeat self. They both stared at it not knowing what to do but they didn't want to leave. Something about the altar that just kept them staring at it almost like they couldn't move from it and take their eyes of it. Almost mesmerizing.
"What are we going to do about them" a deep Demonic voice spoke.
"oh, don't worry about it my love they wont notice" a soft Angelic voice.
"it isn't whether they notice it's whether or not they are ready for it" the Demon growled.
"My Dearest these two will be just fine and I mean the power is already transferring why else do you think they are staring at the altar for so long" the Angel responded with a calming tone In order to calm him down.
"I know the power is transferring I can feeling it but these girl are the one's who are meant to have great power but I just wondering if they are not ready yet what if they are easy to use the power for their own gain and create more chaos, I mean their teenagers" The Demon stated though the Angle had calmed him down his was still worried about the future.
"My Love you must have faith plus I feel like these two have a certain…connection towards each other so I feel they will keep each other in check, kind of like you and me" the Angel simply spoke "now we much get out of here before the transfer is over and notice us or everything will be for nothing" the voices began to fade becoming more silent almost as if they were walking away.
"Yang I think we sh…. should… ca… carry… on…s…. searching" Blake said in a daze. Blake was losing focus in her vison and when she looked at Yang.
"Blake do you f…. fee….feel…weird" Yang almost struggled to get the word out as she moved, she lost her balance and fell right to the floor.
"Ya…...ng" Blake tried to reach for her but fell also in the process both lying on the floor they slowly lost focus on everything around them and feeling like their about to pass out. As they slowly lost consciousness, they suddenly felt fine.
"Blake what just happened" Yang asked.
"I have no idea Yang, but I think we should get going I don't feel comfortable here anymore not that I was to begin with" Blake shifted clearly not liking the place.
The duo makes a straight shot to the door almost knocking over any left standing furniture. They made it outside and straight into the opening. After a few minutes of collecting their thoughts, and breath, they concluded they should find Ruby and Weiss…. but where were they. Then the pair noticed something else it was later in the day they started this mission it was late morning coming up to midday now it looked like a few hours from sunset.
"Blake how long where we in that Church" Yang asked she looked at Blake with concern in her eyes.
"I thought we was only in there for a few minutes" Blake looked at Yang completely shocked and Yang hummed in agreement. They both figured if it was this late Ruby and Weiss would have headed back to Beacon on account of Ozpin telling them to head straight back if anything happened.
The started heading in the direction of beacon (wasn't hard to miss on the account of the giant tower) as the started to run the hot sun started to take its effect on them and neither knew why it was effecting them like this as it wasn't like this earlier. They decided to stick to the trees it would have more danger on account of Grimm, but it meant the sun wasn't on them.
They reached Beacon after a hour of running but when they got to the main entrance they realized they would have to go into the sun. They decided going slow would be better at conserving energy. They both stepped in the light together and both felt the effects immediately, but they could still move and make it back to the doors.
When the entered the doors, they were spotted by Ruby who look very worried and looked like she had been crying.
"YANG, BLAKE!" Ruby screamed at the top of her lungs and used her semblance to crash into Yang to which Yang had to grain her balance after she had been smashed into "Where the hell have you two been we looked everywhere for you and we started to thing…to…think" Ruby could get the words out and she started crying in Yang's arms and Yang held onto her tightly.
"we started to think you had died" Weiss said as she finished walking over from where her and Ruby just were " we search everywhere in that Riverwood whatever place and could not find you" Weiss look angry but also relived
"We were in the church inside the village and we were only in there for a few minutes we swear" Yang explained still holding onto the now stopped crying Ruby.
"Yang there was no church" Weiss stated.
Well this is my first ever chapter and first ever Fanfiction. I'm really bad at writing (that why I've failed English lol) but I've really wanted to write a story for a while now. please share you opinions and tell me where I could improve as that would be much appreciated. thanks to everyone who reads and I hope you enjoy.
