As soon as those word were spoken, Issei knew exactly who it was.
"Raynare...you bitch, what have you done with Asia!" Issei yelled as he pulled away from Asia's body.
"Oh, come now Issei, id thought you'd love my new look." Raynare chuckled, as she stood up from the ground and brushed any dirt that had contacted her dress.
"What have you done with Asia!" Rias snarled
"Oh Asia, she's gone and had decided to give me free use of her body, for the foreseeable future." Raynare grinned.
"But how is this possible... I killed you, back when we save Asia from you a few months backs." Rias gasped.
"Oh that... well you see, as soon as I realised I was going to die, I had one last failsafe, I was going to transfer my soul into Asia's dead body and escape with the sacred gear, but while I did this you managed to sever my connection by destroying my body, and what was worse was that your resurrected Asia, trapping my soul in her body, like a prison.
"But how did you take over, as you said it yourself, Asia's soul trapped your soul, leaving you powerless." Akeno interjected.
"I may have been trapped but I was not powerless, I realised that I had to weaken Asia's resolve, in order to break free, so I used my magic to warp her mind, whispering in her ear trying to make her doubt herself, I gave her nightmares for months, she hasn't slept comfortable in a long time, and as every day passed she grew weaker, and I grew stronger, until she pushed herself to far, and I took control." Raynare whispered menacingly.
"You return Asia to us right now or ill..." Xenovia roared summoning Durandal to her hand until she heard Raynare started laughing.
"Ahahah...you'll do what... hit me, if you kill me then there is no chance of getting Asia back...so I'll ask you. What are you going to do?" Raynare chuckled and her voice became as cold as ice and as hard as stone. When she stared down Xenovia who stabbed Durandal into the ground.
"The rest of Rias's peerage summoned their weapons and spells, waiting on Raynare to make the next move. As she saw this her eyes widened and her a toothy grin painted her face, as the thought of tearing the team apart, in this form brought her great joy.
"Oh, I almost forgot to say... you see this?" Rayanre raised her hand showing the two rings that were the form the Twilight healing took.
"Yes, that's Asia's Twilight healing, you tried to steal it from her when we stopped you." Issen snarled.
"Well, since I was trapped inside Asia for so long, I decided educate myself on the sacred gear she wielded, and discovered that Asia, hasn't even cracked the surface, of the sacred gear she possessed" Raynare turned her hand to admire the rings.
"How so, twilight healing is specifically designed for helping heal the wounded" Kiba called pointing his holy devil sword at Raynare.
"Well, knight of Rias Gremory, you are sorely mistaken. Twilight healing works by manipulating the lifeforce of the people it has been cast on, which in Asia's case meant it would only heal, those it was used on but I have uncovered its other functions...like this. Life drain!" Raynare walked slowly back and forth as she monologued until she raised her hand to her chest and the light from the sacred gear appeared, and changed from emerald green, to ruby red, as it shot out tendrils of magical energy that attached to rias and the rest of her peerage, draining them of their life and magic, dropping them to the knees
This is life drain, a variant of twilight heal that steals the lifeforce of others o enhance the wielder which I used to give, me the boost to fully take over, it also allows me to do this. Life forge." Raynare whispered as the gem changed colour, this time to a dark orange, and the tendrils disappeared, and instead a ball of orange energy formed round Raynare's hand and began to stretch out into a long orange light spear.
"Life forge, allows the wielder to shape energy into a physical form, so I used the energy I stole from you all, and forged into a light spear." Raynare smirked as she saw the team slowly get back to their feet, as they rose, she charged them.
"Be careful, we can't hurt her, or else Asia is at risk!" Rias yelled as she saw Rayanre move at near superhuman speed, so fast that Gasper couldn't see her even with his vampiric senses enhanced with his demon physiology. And knock Xenovia to the ground, by sweeping her feet away with the haft of the light spear, and using this she slammed the spear like a mace into Gasper, hitting directly on the top of his head, knocking him unconscious, blood pouring from his head.
Gasper, Xenovia!" Akei screamed as she summoned bolts of lighting and threw them at Raynare, who dodged and deflected the bolts until she closed the distance. At that Moment Kiba ran in and blocked a stab that was aimed at Akeno, and he started to duel Raynare.
"Asia if you can here, me, please fight back! Your stronger than her, you can't give up..." Kiba yelled, until his block was broken by a strong strike from Raynare, as the haft of the spear struck Kiba opening hm up for a quick thrust to the leg, dropping him to the ground, at that moment.
Raynare rushed at Issei who had been boosting this power since the fight stared and had just activated his scale mail form, while Rias, Koneko, Akeno and Xenovia who tried to get to her before she met Issei, however as she rushed in she drew the Sacred gear close to her and change to the colour to a dark purple hew and it began to mold and warp like a miniature black hole.
"Soul blocker!" Raynare screamed as a wave pf dark purple energy exploded around her, freezing everyone in place, with Issei, being frozen in a semi complete state his scale mail armour covering his arm and legs and part of his face, but his chest and stomach were unarmoured.
"Ddraig what the hell's going on!" Issei screamed in his head as he looked to see that the entire peerage was frozen in place.
"She seems to have used some sort of soul spell to freeze us in our current form, and I can't do anything because we are stuck in the transformation faze." Ddraig bellowed.
"Well that great, I'm going to get my ass kicked by the same bitch who killed me!" Issei yelped to Ddraig.
"My My, the great red dragon emperor, and his wielder are frozen, what's a girl to do in such a situation" Raynare purred as she ran her hand around Issei's semi-armoured face.
"I've have planned this day since you had me killed Issei, I know that deep down you took pleasure in seeing me die, because of what I did to you... well now it's my turn." Raynare snarled as she knelt to stare into Issei's frozen eyes, as they stared at her, unmoving and unflinching. Raynare stood up ran her light spear across Issei's unarmored midsection, the sharpness of the blade cutting into Issei's, flesh, and with a mighty thrust she ran the blade through his stomach. The wound didn't bleed.
"That was for the terrible date, and this is for you having me killed" Raynare pulled the spear out of Issei's stomach and raised the spear to strike at his heart, However unbeknownst to Raynare, Koneko has been summoning her sage arts magic while she pursued her, and in doing so she had weakened the effects of the soul blocker spell, breaking free.
Issei! Koneko yelled as she charged at Raynare who stopped her thrust only to turn directly into a devastating right cross from Koneko, knocking the spear from her hand and sending her flying. As his happened Koneko used her magic to close the wound to Issei's stomach, as she did so Raynare got up, but felt some form of resistance as she moved.
"What's going on... you bitch I'll kill you for... that" Raynare roared, but she felt something fighting what she said, trying to stop her from finishing her sentence.
"I won't let you get away with this." Asia called as she regained some control.
"Let go you bitch this is... I can't let you win Raynare" Raynare and Asia took turns as the battled one another with Asia/Raynare grabbing her hair trying to pull it out, as they did this they inadvertently deactivated the soul blocker spell freeing the peerage.
"Akeno, now!" Rias bellowed as Akeno summoned a large bolt of magical lighting and with as much force as she could muster, she struck, Raynare who never saw the strike coming.
"AHHHHHHHHHH!" Raynare and Asia screamed, their voices in unison as the power of the lightning bolt surged through them. As the spell came to an end they slumped to the floor, Asia's school uniform was charred, and her body was covered in numerous burns.
"Asia!" Issei screamed as she ran over to Asia's body to see she was still breathing but wasn't responding.
"Akeno summon portal, we need to get her back home, I'll call Azazel, he might know how to get Asia back. Rias ordered as she walked over to Asia and helped Issei take her in his arms. Once the portal was summoned the peerage, now battered and bruised, walked through the portal, hoping a solution would arise.
