Chapter 5

As Issei moved through the black void, coming ever closer to the purple beacon of light, his mind thought only of what was happening to Asia, as while he could only make out the beacon in the darkness, he could clearly hear a scream echoing through the void,

"Hang in their Asia, ill get you out of this, I promise" Issei yelled as he sprinted through the void, until he came to a horrific sight as at that moment eh void came to an end, and in front of him was a large stone cross, on bound to that cross was Asia, her hands and feet nailed to it with purple nails made of fallen angel light, as her body was bound in chains of the same make,, the magic bond Asia was so strong that it gave off a blinding glow.

"Asia!" Issei screamed as he rushed over to the chains and tried to break them, but as soon as he touched them he felt as if his skin had just caught fire.

HAHAHAHA... so the brave knight has decided to come and save the princess from the evil witch...how romantic."A voice echoed through the air, filled with venom and pure sarcasm, coming from Issei's Right.

"Raynare! let Asia, go or ill kill you right her right now!"Issei yelled as he turned to see Raynare come into view as a layer of black flog unveiled her form, which was sitting on a throne f black stone, carved with relies showing numerous unholy and unsavory images. As Issei focused on Raynare he noticed that some of her features where not her own, her heir while mostly black had streaks of blond still marking her, while and her eyes while predominantly purple, where showing flakes of emerald green.

"Its good to see you again Issei... have you missed me?" Raynare asked as she crossed her legs, and placed her hand under her chin, as she rested her arm on the arm of the chair.

what have you done to Asia?" Issei bellowed.

"Oh that well... I needed a way to stop Asia from being able to fight back, and whats better than crucifying a god fearing Christian, just like her beloved martyr

"Shut your mouth! You have no right to be here and I'm done with being pleasant, release Asia and leave now or ill kill you."Issei hissed, pointing Skofnung at Raynare.

Is that all you've got? I have twilight healing. Your puny blade wont do anything to me."Raynare scoffed as she looked Issei up and down.

"don't underestimate the wielder of the red Dragon of Domination, Fallen Angel," Ddraig bellowed as his gem glowed bright green, an Activated the Dragon Aspect form, enveloping Issei in a field of red energy, which began to mold the armour to Issei's body. Once the energy dissipated, Issei was shown in full battle armour, his entire body enveloped in Scarlet plates of Dragon steel, and Skofnung was now hand lines of red energy enveloped the edge of the blade, light blood red lighting. Issei's armour looked very similar to the Scale mail armour, but was far more form fitting, and his face was not covered by the helmet and was similar to a medieval Bascinet helmet.

"Ohhhh...I see you dress up for the occasion... it looks like ill have to do the same" Raynare grinned a toothy grin as she stood up from her throne, and raised her hand, clenched in a fist with the rings of Twilight healing shining.

"Hesperides protection" Raynare whispered as the rings began to glow bright gold, and the golden energy emanating from the rings enveloped Raynare's body, like a layer of molten gold, being poured over her skin, once the golden energy enveloped her entire body, it began to mold itself into armoured plates.

"This is the hidden gem of this sacred gear. The power of Twilight Healing comes from it being linked to the life giving properties of the garden of hesperides which the gods of Olympus used to obtain magical golden apples that they dined on to keep up their strength and keep them looking youthful, but it also granted those who at the fruit of the garden to be granted protection, from all harm." Raynare proclaimed as she walked towards Issei, as the armour took form, her legs arms and upper body where covered in heavily ornate golden plates, with the chest plate exemplified her feminine curves, and at that moment she unveiled her black wings, with the leading edge of the wings being covered in a layer of articulating golden plates.

"Oooookay... Ddraig, you think we can take her."Issei gasped as Rayanre got closer.

"Hahahah... no mere fallen angel can beat the Red Dragon Emperor,m not while I still live and breath" Ddraig chortled, as his Emerald green gem glowed brightly.

"Let's do this...ah! Issei yelled as he charged Raynare who also charged back, as she did so she summoned a golden light spear from her hand.

"The two did battle a blur of red and golden energy, with neither one giving up,

"Take this!" Issei screamed as he brought a mighty downward strike with Skofung, just catching Raynare off guard, landing a strike which managed to cut through her shoulder and the golden armour, causing blood to pour from the wound, Raynare kicked Isseo back causing the blade to slice further into the wound before it exited, but Issei stood their in shock for as soon as the blade was removed the wound and armour had almost instantaneously healed leaving not a scratch on her armour or her and she had not even flinched at the cut making contact.

"Is that the best you've got" Raynare snarled as she imbued the spear with more magical energy, causing it to grow in size and thickness,

"So...it seems you might be compensating for something" Issei mumbled, trying not to snigger.

"Issei, we're met to be taking this seriously and your making compensation jokes... get your head in the game!"Ddraig roared in anger.

"I'm just getting warmed up."Raynare snarled as the spear extended out and she swung it over head, like a Indian mace, its reach extending all the way to Issei, who had to dodge each swing or else be knocked out be the strike.

"You must get within her guard are else you wont get near her or Asia!" Ddraig bellowed as issei nodded in agreement and charged, directly towards Rayanre ducking under or jumping over her spear swings and he almost gets to her but she clicks as to his idea and using her wings she flies up into the air avoiding Issei's attack until she charges up a large bolt of angelic light and brought it down where she had been standing, the bolt sent issei flying into the air, his armour cracked and shattered by the blast and his sword was wrenched from his hand by the force of the blast, and he flew through the air ...until he hit the ground with a resounding thud.

"Uhhhh, I think i've...broke my ….ribs" Issei gasped as he aged to get air into his lungs.

"Your okay Issei, your armours badly damaged but nothings broken...just had the wind knocked out from you" Ddraig sighed as he began to repair the armour, as he did so Issei looked up in his dazed state and realised he was at the base of the cross where Asia was mounted. Issei slowly crawled over to the cross, his arms and legs where weak and where having difficulty moving him across the ground. As he crawled over an idea popped into Issei's head.

"Hey Ddraig I think I have an idea, that if it works then we get out of here."Issei whispered in his head to Ddraig who listened closely to Issei's plan. Issei managed to get to the base of the cross and using all the strength he managed to grab hold of the magical nails impaled into Asia's feet, and he tried to raise himself up, but Raynare was having other ideas.

"So you've decided that this will be a fitting place for you to die, beside the woman you love."Raynare whispered as she grabbed Issei by the scruff of the neck and lifted him effortlessly into the air, and with a hard slam she smashed Issei's face into one of the nails that bound Asia's hand, the angelic energy caused issei's face to burn and Issei clawed at the nail trying to resist the force of being pushed into the nail by Raynare.

"How does that fell Issei hmmmm... how about this" Raynare purred, taking great pleasure as she pulled him over to Asia's other arm and began to slam his head into the nail, causing the skin of Issei's scalp and forehead to tear, causing him to scream in agony.

"This feels so good...i've missed this" Raynare told herself as she then turned Issei around and wrapped her hand around his throat, as she slammed him up to Asia's body wrapped in angelic chains, which burned like molten iron on bare flesh even which the redments of his armour covered his skin.

"Ahhhhhhhh! Issei screamed clawing at the chains, only to burn his hands in the process.

"So this is my final reward for you Issei, you get to be close to your lover as you die, at my hands."Raynare growled as she saw that Issei's eyes were filled with fear, pain and hate, and she savoured it, it made her feel warm inside at the thought she had the chance to torture Issei all over again.

"Any last words?"Raynare whispered as she paced hr mouth to his ear. And she summoned a dagger of angelic light to her hand and began to push it slowly between Issei's ribs.

"Yes... dress...break" Issei gasped as he felt the dagger enter his chest, as he finished speaking he clicked his fingers and in a matter of seconds the chains and nails exploded, catching Raynare of guard.

"What...how did you do that you bastard" Raynare hissed as she saw Issei stretch his hand out, and out of no where the sword her had used was spinning to his hand like a buzzsaw, which to Raynare's shock, cut through the arm she was using to hold Issei up. She stumbled back and looked at the stump which was beginning to grow back, but she hadn't predicted what happened next.

"I'm going to kill you...No... wait, you can't to do that."Raynare snarled as she saw that Asia, was awake, and holding her arm, and was pulling the rings of her fingers, deactivating the Twilight healing effects, leaving Raynare with a stump. In an act of blind rage, she charged at Asia, who slipped the rings on Issei stood in front o her Skofnung in hand, as Raynare summed a spear and tried to impale Asia only to be frozen in her space. Issei saw this and noticed a purple light out of the corner of his eye and turned to see that Asia had frozen Raynare in place.

"You are a monster Raynare. All those months you spent in my head, breaking my soul, having me question who I am. You tried to kill the only family I have, and I almost let that happen. I can't let you get away with this. "Asia hissed, with malice that did not fit her voice. Asia then began to pull the lifeforce out of Raynare who was still frozen. Raynare's form began to change from that of a beautiful women with wings as black as coal, to that of a woman worn down by time, her wings now a shade of dirty grew.

"You...bitch, you cant...do this to... Me." Raynare gasped, every word more difficult to say than the last.

"You deserve everything that's happened to you Raynare. But I wont kill you, because I'm not a monster like you" Asia snarled as she turned her back to Raynare who attempted to summon a spear to throw but the magic simply failed to summon.

"Damn it" Raynare whispered as Issei stood over her, Skofnung in hand.

"I can't let you stay in Asia's mind any longer Raynare..." Issei said coldly.

"You don't have the guts...do you Issei?"Raynare sighed as she attempted to transform into Yuma, hoping this would make Issei reconsider but instead she simply molded into a form that was a mix of her haggard form and that of a young school girl.

"Good by Raynare" Issei whispered as he brought down the sword with a might swing which on contact with Raynare turned her into ash. Issei took a deep breath and turned to see Asia, her eyes wide with worry as Issei knees gave way and he collapsed to the ground blood spilling from his mouth, his sword stabbed into the ground propping Issei up.

"Issei!" Asia screamed.
