I slumped in my desk in homeroom while waiting for the bell. I put my earbuds in and turned up the music I was familiar with. I turned and saw my fratellino talking to a boy with tan skin and emerald green eyes in the front of the room. Those eyes have captivated me for about four years now. I scowled as Feli waved me over. I sighed and brought my supplies with me, with Feli you never knew what he was going to do, so it was better to prepare. For a minute he could be calm and the next he could be chasing you around with a bowl of pasta trying to make you eat it.
I sulked over, waiting for the bell alone was too boring anyways I thought. I was going to have to hide my crush from Antonio. I would do whatever it took but I doubted it took much since he could be so oblivious to the atmosphere.
"Hola, how are you?" The all too familiar boy asked. I hadn't talked to him in years but I bet my life savings that Feli has. I may or may not have a thing for him, but he hardly notices me anymore so what's the point? The only people I ever talk to were Mathew, Feli, Eliza, and Feli's friend Kiku. High school transforms people.
"Ciao idiota." I looked at him with slight curiosity. I have looked at him before but it wasn't like I checked him out or anything. I only saw him in the corridors and heard about the bad touch trio.
"Lovino that's not-a nice!" Feli sighed. Contrary to his belief, I don't care about much until my lunch period.
"Non mi interessa!" I fired back and looked at the poor kid with the handsome green eyes. I found my self staring at him and tried to think of something decent to say.
"What's your name sir?" Feli looked at me like I had 3 heads. I can be decent stupid fratello! I'm not mean all the time to everyone! I also wanted to see if he remembered me.
"Fuososo!" He chuckled, I looked downward and started to turn back to my seat in the corner of the room. "Oh sorry, my name is Antonio but I thought you already knew that, Lovino." As I stood near Feli and tried to think of something to say while also trying not to blush, he gasped as my wrist lit up in gold. Shortly after Feli had his turn. He looked so happy once the engraving finished. I saw gold writing on his wrist LB. I have no clue why he looked so happy but he's weird like that. I stared at my wrist AC. That boy's name was Antonio Carriedo it started with an A and ended with a C. I yelled at myself, he's not in your league!
"Looks like my soulmate is air conditioner." Trying to make a joke out of It I laughed nervously. I noticed the stupid Spaniard staring at me like I was a somebody and not only Feli's older brother. What was that idiota looking at? My cheeks started to turn red. Damn you face!
"What are your initials?" He purred. I was about to smack him on the head with my math binder but the bell blasted like metal over the speakers.
I hightailed it out of there and booked it to my first period. I looked to the ceiling and exhaled as I sat down. I was good at math so I just gazed out the window in the back of the class thinking about the initials on my wrist. I wish the letters were more helpful but they would only glow when your soulmate held your hand. If your soulmate was going to die they would fade from gold to silver a year before they died. Then to bronze when they were about to die until they turned white. My grandpa's letters have faded to white after my grandmother died. I just gazed out the window until the bell released us once again.
"Time for science." I mumbled to myself as I walked out of the classroom. I hoped Antonio's schedule hasn't changed, I don't want him in my classes.
