Athena's POV

"It would appear I've won" Hook greeted as I approached him.

"Oh did you?"

I looked to Excalibur in my hand.

"Last time we fought this sword ended up at your heart"

"You won the battle not the war" Hook sneered.

Man I really did not like Hook as a Dark One. He was one cocky bastard with dark magic.

"I must be off then" Hook went on. "I would make your last hours alive count Athena."

The pirate then disappeared in a cloud of smoke.

Zila's POV

"Zila you might want to slow down" David suggested. "We need a plan"

"The plan is to find Hook before he resurrects all of the Dark Ones"

"You mean there's more Dark Ones here?!" Leroy demanded.

He and his fellow dwarves joined us.

I suddenly came to a stop and looked to Emma.

"Emma I know this is painful for you but Hook must be stopped"

"I know Zila and I want you to stop him" Emma began and I could see she was about to cry.

I placed a hand onto her shoulder.

"He maybe a Dark One but I believe Killian Jones still exists, I'll try my best to get the man you love out of this unscathed"

"Zila are you sure your a Dark One because your not acting like one" Leroy wondered.

"Another story for another time my friend if we all split up we can find Hook faster" I suggested.

So Rumple, Dakota, and I would search for the pirate together. First stop was obviously Rumple's shop and said new Dark One wasn't there. Next the three of us looked in Athena's shop but no luck there either.

"Mom! Dad!" Dakota yelled from outside.

Immediately my husband and I rushed outside to see Nimue eying Dakota in fascination.

"Get the hell away from my daughter!" I roared and Rumple shot an orb of fire at Nimue. The blast hit Nimue hard in the back and she was thrown into the air and then she crash landed onto the ground.

"My jewel are you okay?" Rumple asked Dakota.

"Yes I'm fine just shook up she just appeared out of nowhere" Dakota reassured us.

I drew my child close to me as Nimue got back to her feet.

"That really wasn't necessary" Nimue stated. "I was simply interested in your daughter"

"Bullshit Nimue" I hissed.

Nimue smirked before eying Dakota again.

"She's a unique young woman and strong like her parents"

The first Dark One then disappeared.

"Okay something odd just happened to all of us" Regina announced as everyone regrouped.

"I think I might able to answer that" Athena interrupted as she joined us. "Check your wrists"

Everyone did as Athena suggested and they all had a golden mark on their wrist. Rumple, Dakota, and I did not.

"The mark of Charon" Rumple said with dread.

"I have it as well" Athena notified and sure enough on her wrist was the same mark.

"He's the ferryman of the Underworld" Henry pointed out.

Athena shot Henry a proud smirk before continuing.

"The Dark Ones have a temporary pass in this world similar to a tourist visa the only way for them to stay is to trade places with living souls"

"Meaning us" David said.

"I'm afraid so and when the moon reached its peek the ferry from the Underworld will come and drag us down there, it's a place you don't want to go I promise you that, unless this plan is foiled it's everyone's fate"

"Rumple has your gift of sight offered any solutions?" I inquired from my husband.

"I'm afraid not love" my mate replied with a shake of his head.

Later.

"Gah this f***ed up" I growled shutting a spell book.

Athena, Rumple, Dakota, and I were in the pawnshop.

"There has to be something we can do, something I can bloody do!"

Rumple brought me into him and Athena took Dakota out of the back room. Tears went down my face because not only would I lose Henry but Belle and Gabrielle too since they've been marked.

"I don't think there is anything we can do dearie" my mate said.

He then placed both hands on each side of my face so I could look at him.

"Despite our current situation Zila I'm still proud of you as is Dakota, you maybe Athena's successor but your heart still has light in it, as does mine"

Rumple then claimed a kiss from me and it was one hell of a kiss mind you.

"Zila, Rumple"

My husband and I separated from one another to look at Athena. Dakota stood next to her.

"I am willing to sacrifice myself so those who are marked can live"

Athena then walked over and placed Excalibur into my hands.

"The darkness will need to be put into someone and I want to be that person"

"But Athena" Rumple protested but his sister shook her head.

"I want to do this Rumple I've caused a lot of pain to countless people this is my way to redeem myself"

"Dad it's alright" Dakota added. "She really wants to do this"

Rumple sighed before he went over to Athena and hugged her.

"I'm sorry but I can't let you use that sword"

Athena got Dakota and moved her so she was behind me and her father.

"And why would that be?" Rumple hissed.

"I have my reasons Crocodile" Hook sneered at my mate.

Excalibur disappeared from my hands and appeared in Hook's instead. The pirate then disappeared in a cloud of smoke and I swore loudly. Rumple then used his magic and he transported us to where those who marked were. All of the Dark Ones including Nimue stood a few feet away.

"Ah so you decided to bring your family Crocodile to wish your loved ones goodbye?" Hook asked walking to us. "The ferry should be here any moment"

I looked to the pond and sure enough smoke hovered over the water and the ferry would be coming if something wasn't done. Regina approached Hook and told him something.

"It's time" Nimue announced.

"I don't think so bitch your not taking my loved ones!" I roared.

But before I could use my dark magic Nimue used hers to choke me.

"Get off of my Mom!" Dakota yelled and she sent a wave of her magic at Nimue.

This time Nimue deflected the blast but it was enough for me to be released from Nimue's magic.

"That's enough" Hook suddenly stated.

"Just what do you think your doing?" Nimue demanded as Hook turned to her.

"Being the man I want to be"

The pirate raised Excalibur and the blade glowed red as it began to suck all of the Dark Ones into it. Once they were gone Hook turned to me. Even being trapped inside Excalibur all of the Dark Ones were fighting back and it wouldn't be long until they were free again.

"Hook you can't!" I exclaimed realizing what he wanted me to do.

"There's no other way Zila" the pirate countered. "The darkness won't stay trapped in Excalibur forever"

Emma protested and she rushed into Hook's arms. While she hugged Hook I took Excalibur from the pirate. Hook kissed Emma on the forehead before pushing her away. Hook and I looked to one another and as several tears went down my face did I thrust Excalibur into him.

He yelped and I held onto his body so he wouldn't fall over. A few minutes passed and I pulled Excalibur out of him. The sword proceeded to transform back into my dagger and Hook clutched his neck where he was once injured.

Emma rushed over and took Hook from me as he proceeded to fall. Rumple placed a hand onto my shoulder and Dakota intertwined her hand into mine. They too shed tears for what Hook just did as did Athena.

Next Day.

"The whispering is annoying" I complained to Rumple. We were at his house and I had my head in his lap. I held my dagger in my hands and the damn thing wouldn't shut up.

"You'll get used to it dearie" my mate reassured me.

I sighed and sat up. I then placed myself in Rumple's lap and my husband was blushing. I claimed a kiss from my significant other and this included a tongue dance for dominance.

Eventually the kiss stopped and I gave my husband a smirk.

"To be honest I like being a Dark One and with you at my side Rumplestiltskin, my light, my heart won't lose control to darkness"

"Oh I look this new side of you Zila" Rumple purred before giving me another kiss.

Later That Night.

Athena called and explained there was a way to possibly save Hook. Since David and Snow shared a heart Emma would do the same with Hook. So we were going on a trip to the Underworld. So it was settled Emma and her family, Robin, Regina, Athena, Rumple, Dakota, and I were going to this supposed hell.

Athena sliced her hand with a knife and went to the water. She spilled her blood into it and smoke again hovered over the water. The boat then appeared and when it came to a stop one by one each of us walked into the water and boarded it.
