He's Only Mine
Lisa Turpin believes Draco Malfoy is hers, but Draco tries to get rid of her with Pansy's help. When Lisa sees Hermione with Draco, she decides to get rid of Hermione once and for all. She'll do anything to get Draco. Even kill...
Pansy gritted her teeth when she heard the high-pitched giggles echo through the classroom. She clenched her fingers around her quill and broke it in her anger. Hermione Granger, who was seated beside her, hesitantly handed her another quill.
"Are you okay, Parkinson?"
"No, I'm bloody well not okay! That bitch Turpin's shoved her gold digger claws into Draco!" Pansy snarled under her breath, her shoulders stiffening when she heard the shrieking giggles again. "I'm going to rip her limb from limb!"
Hermione grabbed Pansy's arm and said, "Uh, we're in class, Parkinson… You'll get into trouble."
Pansy clenched her teeth and hissed, "Fine, good idea, Granger. I'll kill her after class."
Hermione shook her head, but she, too, had to agree that Lisa Turpin was a nuisance. The Ravenclaw girl pretended to be the queen of Hogwarts just because she was dating the Head Boy, Draco Malfoy. It was getting on her nerves too.
"Oh, Drakie-poo! That's hilarious!" Lisa shrieked as she hung onto Draco's arm for dear life. Hermione silently thought, 'I'm sorry, Claws, you've got such airheaded girls.'
Pansy hissed at Hermione, "Hex me, Granger. I can't watch this ridiculous show anymore…"
Hermione winced but said, "For once, I agree with you. But I can't hex you, that won't be right."
When the two girls heard Lisa laugh at something inconsequential Draco had said, Pansy shot out of her seat and, pointing her wand at Hermione, barked, "Langlock!"
Hermione's eyes widened when her tongue was suddenly stuck to the roof od her mouth. She quickly waved her wand at herself and cast a nonverbal Finite Incantatem. She knew why Pansy had jinxed her, but she didn't want to raise her wand against her. She could get into trouble; which was exactly what Pansy wanted.
When Pansy suddenly cast a Leek Jinx at her, she decided enough was enough. As Flitwick tried to calm Pansy down, Hermione yelled, "Flipendo!"
Pansy fell to the ground and cried out in mock-pain. "My arm hurts! I need to go to the infirmary!" she screamed, trying to grab onto Hermione's leg.
Professor Flitwick squeaked out, "Five points from both Gryffindor and Slytherin for fighting in class! Miss Granger, I thought, as you're the Head Girl, you'd make better choices. Go, take Miss Parkinson to the infirmary."
Hermione's face turned beet-red but she nodded and helped Pansy up. They left the classroom and Hermione rounded on her with fury. "This is all your fault! I've never been scolded by Professor Flitwick before! I've never been scolded by anyone before!"
Pansy rolled her eyes and rubbed her ear. "At least we're far away from that bitch's stupid giggling."
Hermione scowled and retorted, "You could have left by telling Flitwick you were having cramps or a headache, you didn't have to get me kicked out too!"
"Where's the fun in that, Granger?"
Hermione snarled and stormed off in a huff, and Pansy watched her leave with an amused grin on her face. Granger may have been a Muggle-born, but Pansy thought she was a good person at heart. Pansy would never admit it out loud, but Hermione Granger was one of the few people she knew she could trust if she ever needed someone to lend her a listening ear.
"Oh, Drakie! Why don't we go somewhere no one will interrupt us?" Lisa giggled incessantly as she ran her finger down Draco's chest. Draco uncomfortably shifted away from her and smiled weakly.
"Drakie's got some business to attend to, don't you, Drakie?" Pansy cooed, her eyes narrowed in on Draco. Fortunately, Draco wasn't idiotic enough to not get the signal. He immediately nodded along with Pansy. "He needs to work on something special with Granger."
Draco paled when he heard Pansy say Granger's name in front of Lisa. He had mentioned Granger a few times — they were co-heads and even shared a dormitory — and he had seen how furious Lisa could get when Granger was mentioned in front of her. He had a terrible feeling Pansy was in for it now.
Lisa's face turned purple with rage and she roared, "Don't take that bitch's name in front of me! I'll rip your tongue out with my bare hands!"
Pansy's eyes widened with horror at Lisa's sudden change in behaviour and glanced at Draco, trying to decipher the furious shaking of Draco's head. She scowled at Lisa and snapped, "Listen here, bitch. It's my mouth — I'll say whatever I want. Let's see you try to stop me."
Lisa shot out of her seat and yanked Draco up with surprising strength, digging her pointed nails in his arm and making him wince. "Drakie's only mine! You hear me, you fat cow? He's mine and I'll gouge Granger's eyes out if she tries to take him away from me!" She dragged a terrified Draco out of the Great Hall, leaving Pansy to her thoughts.
"I told you not to date her, Draco! Now, look at this mess!" Pansy grumbled as she looked at the scrunched up love letters Lisa had sent Draco.
"I swear I'll listen to you next time I date someone, Pans, but please, please, please, help me out! Merlin, I didn't know she would be this much of a psycho! I thought she was innocent!" Draco cried, batting away Lisa's Howlers that were trying to get his attention.
"How about you ask me properly? Then, I'll think of maybe helping you out…"
"What do you want me to say? Oh, Pansy, my dearest friend, my best friend, I'll never ever doubt your talents! You're always right, I'm the idiot who never listens. Please, oh, Pansy, help a poor man out." His voice was high-pitched and condescending, but it worked on Pansy.
"Yes, there's a good boy. I'll think of something soon and tell you," she said, patting his head lightly. "Now, leave me alone to think."
"What do you want in return?"
Pansy laughed evilly and said, "You'll see, Drakie-poo, you'll see…"
"Tell me you've thought of a plan to get rid of Turpin," Draco demanded angrily as he swooped down beside Pansy at the Slytherin table, lowering his head to hide from his crazy girlfriend.
"I can't believe you're scared of breaking up with her!" Theo laughed as he sat down beside him, placing his large bag in front of Draco's face.
"I'm not scared! I tried it already, but she's a madwoman… She started crying and screaming at me."
Pansy and Theo snickered at his cowardice, glancing around the Great Hall. "Hey, there's Turpin!" Theo teased and the two of them watched Draco panic. Pansy and Theo burst into guffaws at the sight.
"It's not funny, guys," Draco grumbled as he sat back down and dropped his head onto his arms. "She's terrifying…"
"Hey, Malfoy, meet me in the Potions class after dinner. Professor Snape wants us to go over a few things," Hermione said as she walked over to them, her bag slung over her shoulder. She looked tired and Pansy noticed it.
"Sure, Granger. Walk you to the class?" Draco asked, not looking up at her. Hermione agreed and walked off to the Gryffindor table. Pansy watched her leave and a brilliant idea formed in her head.
"I've got it!" Pansy exclaimed as her eyes lit up with excitement. "Drake, you're going to cheat on Turpin with Granger!"
Draco sighed and said, "Do you want her to kill Granger? I mean, I know she sometimes gets on my nerves, but I don't want Granger to die."
Pansy rolled her eyes and said, "As much as I don't want to admit it, Granger is one of the best. She's the one person Turpin hates more than anything — I don't care why."
Theo nodded and said, "She is brilliant… She's good at duelling too."
Draco scowled at them and growled, "She's never going to agree to it."
"You don't have to ask her, Draco. You'll spend time with her — as co-heads, of course — but the bitch will think you're losing interest in her," Pansy explained impatiently.
"I've already lost interest in her, Pans. Do you think this plan will work?"
"Sure, only if you keep talking about Granger in front of Turpin and lying to her how she's only your counterpart," Theo said, grinning at Draco's confused expression.
"What do you mean by lying? She is my counterpart," Draco said, glancing at the two of them. Pansy and Theo only hummed in mock-acceptance. "What? She is! Why are you two looking at me like that? Granger's only my co-head!"
"Sure, whatever you say," Theo said lightly, thinking of all the times he had heard Draco moaning Granger's name in his sleep.
"She's only your co-head, we get it," Pansy agreed, thinking of all the times Draco had complained about Granger dating other boys.
Draco nodded stiffly and turned to look at the Gryffindor table. "What should I do? I need to get rid of Turpin as soon as possible."
"Granger will handle it. All you need to do is talk about Granger in front of Turpin all the time," Pansy said sweetly.
"Alright, I'll do it."
"Did you see Malfoy with Granger? They look so cute together, don't they?" someone squealed as Lisa Turpin walked past them. She stiffened when she overheard the remark and whirled around to face the student.
"What the hell are you talking about?" she snapped at them threateningly.
"Malfoy and Granger, of course! They look so good together, don't they? Malfoy was carrying Granger's bag for her," the girl said excitedly.
"No, Drakie's mine! Granger has no right to steal him away from me!" Lisa snarled as she stormed away, murderous thoughts forming in her head. She searched the castle for Hermione and found her near the stairs.
"Granger! I've got a bone to pick with you!" Lisa hissed under her breath as she watched Hermione walk towards the stairs. When Hermione was close to the edge, Lisa snuck behind her and cast a Trip Jinx on her.
Lisa watched with vindictive delight when Hermione screamed in terror as she lost her balance and fell down the stairs. But her glee turned into outrage when Draco appeared at the bottom of the stairs and Hermione fell straight into his arms.
"Oof! Merlin, you're so heavy!" Draco groaned as he helped Hermione right herself.
Hermione placed her hand on her chest and breathed out in relief. "I've never been so glad to see you before, Malfoy!" she cried, her heart thundering against her ribs.
"Am I your hero now?" Draco teased, smirking down at her. She smacked his arm and looked up at the stairs from where she had fallen.
Lisa hid from their view, not wanting to get caught, her resentment increasing as she listened to Draco ask Hermione if she was okay. She would make Granger pay for stealing her boyfriend away from her.
"Malfoy, why is your girlfriend following me?" Hermione asked in a low tone, sitting down beside Draco on the couch in the Heads' common room.
Draco asked, "Did she follow you here too?" There was a loud banging on the door which answered his question. "Yeah, got it…"
When the door opened and Lisa stormed in, she went straight to Hermione and yelled, "What are you doing here, Granger?"
Hermione looked bewildered at the question and replied, "I live here."
Lisa snarled, "Keep your filthy claws out of my Drakie-poo! Or I'll rip your—"
"Now listen here, Turpin," Hermione snapped, losing her temper. "This is our living space and you have no right to barge in here to threaten me. Get out!"
Lisa shrieked and lunged forward, her fingers curled in fists, to attack Hermione with her bare hands. Draco watched in awe as Hermione pulled her arm back and socked Lisa across her face. Lisa screamed in pain as she fell to the ground, her nose bleeding profusely.
"You broke by dose!" Lisa cried, tears streaming down her face, her words slightly incomprehensible.
Hermione's eyes were dark with rage as she leaned over Lisa's fallen body and snarled, "This was self-defence, Turpin. If you try anything again, I'll be forced to defend myself again… and I might not be able to stop."
Draco had never seen Hermione punch anyone but him before, and it made his heart soar with excitement. He watched Lisa jump to her feet and he thought, 'Maybe Granger's knocked some sense into her…' But he was proven wrong when Lisa let out an inhumanely high-pitched scream and leapt at Hermione once again.
"He's bine, you ugly bitch!" Lisa screamed as she wrapped her fingers around Hermione's throat and tightened her hold on her. Hermione looked murderous as she reached her hands up to grab Lisa's hair and yank her head back. Lisa screamed in agony when Hermione kicked her in the abdomen.
Hermione shoved her down onto the ground and straddled her back, tugging Lisa's arms behind her back. "I told you to keep your hands to yourself, didn't I? You're crazy!"
Lisa angrily kicked out, trying to escape, but Hermione held her down. "Drakie-poo's bine! He's bine! You're trying to steal hib frob be! I won't let you!" Lisa wailed, flailing under Hermione, but Hermione was strong for someone of her stature.
"I'm not stealing him from you, you idiot!" Hermione snapped, turning her head towards Draco. "Tell her, Malfoy!"
Draco gazed at the scene with pure delight and drawled, "Granger can't steal me from you — you'd have to have me in the first place for her to steal me."
Lisa screamed, "No, you're bine! If I can't have you, no one will!" She suddenly whipped out her wand from her pocket and cast a spell at Draco.
Draco didn't have time to jump out of the way, but Hermione cried out as she leapt in front of the spell. She fell to the ground, unconscious, her forehead bleeding.
Draco yelled, "Granger!" He fell to his knees beside her and cupped her face in his hands. "You idiot! Wake up!"
Lisa laughed darkly when she saw Hermione unconscious and cried, "I'll have you, Drakie-poo! Mark my words!"
Draco grabbed his wand from the table and cast an Incarcerous at Lisa. "Like hell you will!" he roared and turned to the painting of a curly-haired woman on the wall. "Lady Beatrice, get Professor Dumbledore and Flitwick here now!"
The elegantly dressed middle-aged woman picked up her skirts and ran to get the Professors. Lisa screamed, "You're bine, Drakie!"
Draco muttered, "Merlin, you need the Janus Thickey Ward…" He looked down at Hermione and shook her. "Granger, wake up, damn it!"
A few minutes later, Professor Dumbledore and Flitwick hurried into the common room. They found Lisa Turpin tied up and Draco tending to Hermione which was such a surreal sight that they both stopped to gawp.
"Professor, something's wrong with Granger! She's —"
"We'll take her to the infirmary, but tell us what happened here?" Dumbledore asked as he walked over to Lisa.
"She went batshit crazy, that's what happened!" Draco yelled, pointing at Lisa. "She tried to attack Granger and Granger defended herself the Muggle way. Then, Turpin tried to curse me and Granger jumped in front of me, the bloody Gryffindor!"
Flitwick looked at Lisa with such disappointment that she lowered her head, mortified. "Miss Tupin, this is very unlike you."
Dumbledore frowned and said, "Let's take care of Miss Granger first, then we'll handle Miss Turpin's bout of temporary hysteria."
"You can ask Pansy too," Draco said quickly. "Turpin tried to threaten her too."
Dumbledore looked at Lisa with concern and agreed to get her sent to St Mungo's for evaluation. He told Draco to take Hermione up to the infirmary and Draco hurriedly carried her out of there.
On the way to the infirmary, Pansy saw him and rushed up to him. "What happened? What's wrong with Granger?"
"Turpin. Granger knocked her out, but Turpin cursed her."
Pansy gasped and said, "Really? Wicked! I didn't know Granger had it in her…"
"She was glorious, Pans! You should have seen her," Draco said with a soft laugh. "I thought she would explode!"
Pansy laughed at that. "Do her sidekicks know what happened?"
"No, not yet. I'm sure the idiots will kick down the door and blame me for this anyway," Draco grumbled, shifting Hermione in his arms.
"I'll keep an eye out for them." They reached the infirmary and Draco carried her inside, placing her on the bed. He called out for Madam Pomfrey to check on Hermione.
Pansy stood near the door to watch for Harry and Ron, knowing that someone was sure to have mentioned seeing Draco carrying Hermione to them. News travelled fast around Hogwarts. She was proven right when a few minutes later the two Gryffindor boys came rushing down the hallway.
"It's not Draco's fault," Pansy said before they could curse him.
"It must be! It always is his fault!" Ron cried, brandishing his wand at Draco.
"Ron's right, Parkinson. It's always Malfoy's fault," Harry agreed, entering the infirmary behind Pansy.
"She's the idiot! She jumped in front of me!" Draco yelled, scowling at the two boys.
"Why would she jump in front of you?" Ron asked, bewildered.
"Maybe… I don't know... to protect me perhaps?" Draco asked sarcastically, rolling his eyes at them.
"I don't buy that. You must have cast some spell on her to make her do that!" Ron argued.
"Students! No fighting in the infirmary!" Madam Pomfrey warned as she checked Hermione's temperature. "Miss Granger will be alright. She needs to rest for a while, that's all."
Draco looked relieved at the news and sighed. "Thank Merlin!" When the others stared at him with surprise, he said defensively, "She's the one who handles the younger students, I'm free to boss them around."
"Of course," Pansy said sweetly, patting her best friend's arm. "Whatever you say."
